Windows 8 does not ship with a native Start button. Little wonder then that Windows 8 adoption is even poorer than Vista’s was. The lack of Start button will prevent many corporate IT departments from upgrading their users to Windows 8 as the lack of a Start button presents a support headache when dealing with less than techno savvy users.

Fortunately, due to third party developers, its not all doom and gloom. You can get back the Start menu in Windows 8 by installing the tools listed below:

To Enable File History:

Click Change Drive to choose your backup destination. Click and Turn On to enable the feature with your settings.

After File History has been running for a short period, you can check on the history of any file in Explorer by selecting it, clicking the Home tab and clicking History.

According to Redmond, Windows 8 is not just the greatest OS ever designed, it’s also selling extremely well.

Microsoft claimed back in November 2012 that it had sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses in the first month. That’s a mighty impressive figure, even factoring in the OEM systems that come pre-loaded with Windows. But, is what Microsoft’s saying actually true? Is Windows 8 really off to that fast of a start? There’s evidence to suggest otherwise!

According to data put together by a web analytics firm called Net Applications, Windows 8′s online usage share is a tiny bit under 1.6 percent of all Windows PCs up to 22 December 2012. Comparing that to when Windows Vista launched back in 2007, its online usage share of all Windows PCs was 2.2 percent through the exact same time period.

Put simply, Windows 8 is seeing a slower adoption than Windows Vista! Looking closer, Windows 8 adoption grew by a mere 0.4 percentage from 22 November to 22 December, whereas Vista’s adoption more than doubled during its second month on the market.

It should be noted that this is just raw data; which doesn’t exactly account for the decline in PC sales or any other factors that might skew the results. Nor does it factor in the increased numbers of computers online today compared 2007. With so much riding on Windows 8, it can’t be a good sign that Vista got off to a quicker start.

With the continuous advances that we are seeing in the internet these days, it is no surprise that entertainment has increasingly moved into this medium. People can talk to their friends online via the likes of Skype and social media, and there are countless news and media websites around to keep people in the loop with happenings all over the world. One area of online entertainment that has vastly improved in recent years, is that of gaming, specifically poker.

Poker is the type of game that can be played in many different situations, seriously at a casino or simply as a social occasion in someone’s home. So the jump from this to playing it online has not been such a drastic idea, however it has made the lives of poker players much easier and more interesting. The website party poker is one such place that offers users the chance to play poker online and there are many advantages that come from a site like this.

For one thing, it allows beginners to choose to play a low stakes game of poker without the pressure of being in a casino and being intimidated by others sitting around the table. This is therefore a great way to practice your poker skills and begin learning about different playing tricks and techniques.

Playing poker online also means that you don’t have to venture out of your house all the way to a casino. You can simply play from the comfort of your own living room, when you are relaxing on the sofa with the heater on in comfortable clothes.

There is a lot of variety available on sites like Party Poker, with lots of different games to choose from. Those available on this site include Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Hi/Lo. There are also many different tournaments to choose from, so get online and enjoy some great entertainment.

Google is sometimes an anomaly. An example of this is Android not shipping with a file manager applications. Big G thinks files managers are a thing of the past – an out dated tool we shouldn’t need when all our data is stored in the cloud and retrieved on demand. Nice is you live in a land of ubiquitous and cheap internet like South Korea, but not so practical just about everywhere else. Of course we disagree wit Google on the file manager front and fortunately for us so do many Android developers.

Introducing ES File Explorer – In our opinion the best, most powerful option File Explorer for Android. The best part – Its completely FREE!

ES File Explorer is packed with features. It ships with features that make it more powerful than a desktop file management application like Windows Explorer.

Basic File Management

ES File Explorer has all the basic file management functions you’d expect from a file manager. It’s like having a desktop file manager on your smartphone or tablet. You can:

- Select multiple files or folders by tapping the Select button on the toolbar and tapping each file or folder. You can also Select All in the current view.
- Perform operations on a single file or folder by long-pressing it. You can use Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Rename, Move, Properties, and more.
- Use Android-specific functions, like Sharing a file or folder (which opens the Share menu), opening a file in any installed app that supports it, or creating a shortcut to a file or folder on your home screen.
- Search for files by name, path, category, size, and date. You don’t have to hunt down a file by looking in every folder.
If your device is rooted, you can enable the Root Explorer feature to browse – and even modify – files everywhere on your device’s file system.

Remote File Management

What really sets ES File Explorer apart is its long list of features. It can do almost anything you’d want. Not only is it a file manager for your local file system, it also integrates with a variety of remote file services to manage files on other nearby devices and in cloud storage accounts.

- Access files on local computers using the SMB protocol used for Windows file sharing. Open the LAN section, tap New, and tap Scan to scan for computers sharing files on the local network. You can use this feature to copy files from your computer to your Android or even stream videos from your computer over the network.

Connect to a variety of cloud storage services, including Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, Ubuntu One, Amazon S3, Box, SugarSync, and Yandex.

Download and upload files via FTP using the integrated FTP client.
Manage files via Bluetooth. You can copy and paste files directly between Bluetooth devices.
Other Features

ES File Explorer includes a long list of other features.

You can find ES File Explorer in the Google Play store.

This article is an easy to follow step-by-step guide that will teach you how to create a USB flash drive that you can use to Install Windows 7.

This guides requires that you have at least a 4GB flash drive and a copy of the Windows 7 installation DVD or equivalent ISO image. All data on the flash disk will be formatted, so ensure you don;t have any important data on it before doing this. Lets begin:

Step 1: Download Windows 7 ISO from Microsoft.

Windows 7 comes in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and three flavors – Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate. Download the required ISO image directly from Microsoft from here.

Step 2: Download the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool from Microsoft.

The Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool is what enables the magic to happen. Download it from here

Step 3: Install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool on your computer

Double-click the downloaded Windows7-USB-DVD-tool to run the installer.

Then click Next.

Follow the on-screen instructions, click Next, followed by Install

When the installer finishes, click the Finish button.

Step 4: Run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool USB installer

Once installed there should be an icon on your desktop. Simply double-click the icon the launch the application.

Note: Windows UAC may give you a warning message, when you run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. Click Allow to continue.

Step 5: Choose the location of your Windows 7 ISO file.

The tool will want to know where your Windows 7 ISO file is located. Please note that the tool only accepts ISO images, so it is recommended that you convert your image to ISO if it is in a different format.

Click the Browse button and navigate to the folder where you had stored the Windows 7 ISO. Then select the Windows 7 ISO image and click Next.

Step 6: Choose the media type.

You can use this tool to burn the ISO file to a DVD or a USB device. Since we are interested in a bootable USB flash drive, select the USB device option

Step 7: Select your USB device.

Ensure your USB flash drive is plugged in to your computer.

Select the correct device from the drop down menu, and click Begin copying

Step 8: Format the USB flash drive or erase it.

Your USB flash drive may not be formatted or may not have enough space on it.

Simply click Erase USB Device

Microsoft will ask you a second time if you’re okay with erasing the data on the flash drive. Click Yes

Step 9: Let the USB tool finish.

The utility will format your USB device, get all the data from the ISO file, and copy it onto the flash drive. It will also make the USB flash drive bootable at the same time.

Now, wait for the process to complete and then remove the USB drive from your computer.

You now have in your hands a bootable USB flash drive that you can use to install Windows 7 on just about any computer.

Step 10: Boot from the USB drive

Plug-in the USB drive and use it to boot up your computer.

This process will vary from computer to computer. Not all computers can boot from a USB flash drive. However, almost any PC released in the last 5 years should be able to.

The process is dependent on your PC manufacturer, BIOS, and other details. When you first boot up your netbook, the splash screen should show an option like “Press F9 for Boot Options.” It may be F9 for some, or F12 or even ESC.

Some older computers may need you to enter the BIOS to change the order of the boot device, since they do not offer a boot device menu.

This concludes our guide where you kearned how to Install Windows 7 from a USB Flash Disk Drive.
