Unlike most mobile internet devices (MID), the MIDhybrid from 1Cross Tech is rather unique, it combines an MID and an e-Book reader into one package. Powered by an unnamed Marvell-made ARM processor, the device boasts a 6-inch 600 x 800 e-ink display on the left side, a 3.2-inch 480 x 320 resistive touch LCD on the right side, a touch panel keyboard, a VGA webcam, a microSDHC card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G (optional), GPS (optional) and runs on Android 1.6 OS. Apple has officially announced that the Wi-Fi version of the iPad will be released in the US on April 3rd, 2010. Sadly, the Wi-Fi + 3G model still has no specific US release date other than “late April”. If you are interested, you can pre-order both models from Apple’s online store from March 12, 2010, but only the Wi-Fi model can be reserved and picked up in store. The Wi-Fi model will retail at a suggested price of $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB. The Chinese gadget manufacturer RAmos today introduced its new PMP that is able to record 720p HD videos. The RAmos T7+ features HD 720p and 1080p video playback, a 7-inch (800 x ×480) display screen and an HDMI out. The gadget also supports most of HD video file formats including MKV and H.264. Hitachi Maxell Ltd has recently exhibited the laminated lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery at the 1st Int’l Rechargeable Battery Expo in Tokyo. Known as the “IMS65142235″, this battery is currently under development. Its rated capacity, nominal voltage, final voltage and maximum current are 10Ah, 3.7V, 2.75V and 30A, respectively. Measuring 6.5mm x 142mm x 235mm, the Hitachi Maxell Laminated Li-ion Battery will be used for the power supplies of electric bikes, automated guided vehicles, and uninterrupted power supply systems. Foxconn is preparing to launch two new AMD 890GX-based motherboards for the mass market in the form of the A9DA-S (pictured above) and A9DA. These motherboards support AM3 processors and feature an integrated Radeon HD 4290 graphics card, a 128MB of SidePort DDR3 memory, four DDR3 slots, two PCI-Express x16 slots for CrossFirex or Hybrid CrossFire configurations, a 7.1 channel audio and an upgraded cooling system (A9DA-S). Both motherboards also come with a number of connectivity ports including five SATA 6.0 Gbps, Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, 14 USB, two FireWire (A9DA-S).
