After high-frequency tone issues, now some users of the iPhone 3G S are complaining about the low battery. The complainants feel disgusting when the phone does not make it through a working day on a single charge. IFixit.com, a repairing company which specializes in Apple products, has also confirmed that the 3GS’s battery life was about 15% smaller than the original iPhone. A Danish mobile phone site, Mobil has reportedly said that Sony Ericcson is working on their first Android powered XPERIA smartphone — codenamed “Rachael”, which is set to be released later this year. According to them, the phone will feature a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a big touchscreen display, a 8MP camera, HSPA, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a mini-USB connector. The first jailbreaking tool for the iPhone 3GS has been released. Developer George Hotz has recently released the Purplera1n jailbreak software for iPhone 3GS that seems to work perfectly. The software runs on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista, and additionally requires iTunes 8.2 and iPhone 3.0. A Mac version of the software is said to be “coming soon.” The author warns that the Jailbreak is a beta, so you should backup any important iPhone data before attempting to crack the phone’s security.
