The spanking new BlackBerry Curve 8530 is now available via Verizon Wireless. It is actually the first full-QWERTY BlackBerry from Verizon to feature RIM’s new optical trackpad and OS 5.0. The smartphone has a 2.5-inch LCD display with a 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 256MB of flash memory. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Stereo Bluetooth, support for microSD cards and dedicated multimedia keys. Samsung has recently introduced two new members from its Diva cell phone series in the form of the S5150 Olivia and S7070. The Samsung S5150 Olivia is a clamshell handset that features a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 3MP shooter, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, a music player, and Bluetooth. The Samsung S7070 comes equipped with a 5MP digital camera, a bigger 3-inch WQVGA resistive touchscreen, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot and an FM Radio. Both phone will be released in Q1 2010.

AT&T is set to introduce another messaging phone from Pantech namely the Pantech Impact. The handset will be available starting this Sunday, 22 November, for $99.99 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Specs-wise, the phone has two displays: a small external one and a larger internal one, a photo camera with video recording, a full QWERTY keyboard, a music player, AT&T HTML mobile browser, GPS, 3G and easy access to IM and email. Casio has released their latest rugged cell phone for Verizon Wireless. Known as the Casio G’zOne Rock, the clamshell phone meets mil-spec 810F compliance for high shock, vibration, water, dust, and extreme temperatures. The phone also features touch-sensitive music controls, thermometer, compass, pedometer, a 2MP digicam with Flash, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, and EV-DO REV A support.
