I will give you three simple steps:

1. Make sure the My Number field under Settings > Phone > My Number has your number entered in International number format. i.e country code-mobile number eg: +919999999999
2. This is the most important step, since the activation message is sent to an international number, your unlimited prepaid plan doesn’t allow the message to be sent. So you need to have some talktime balance on your card. You can recharge with Rs.10 to get about Rs.7 talktime,
3. Try to activate Facetime or iMessage again. Now Rs.5 should get deducted, and your Facetime and iMessage will get enabled!
