You have some excellent guidelines although I personally always avoided to use WordPress as e-Commerce, too much relies on the underlying code in my opinion. But hey – I’m very opinionated person :-)

Just as a little extra tidbit of information. If you are ever looking at erasing your whole hard drive (securely) take a look at a program called DBAN (Darik’s Boot & Nuke). I have used it for quite some time; it’s relatively easy to use and quite reputable.

I definitely agree, there is no 100% accurate software package. Despite saying this, it is important to make sure that you regularly update whatever ant virus software you use (this way you are at least “more likely” to catch any newer phenomena).

I agree with several of the posters above (especially with respect to free software). Avira, Avast, and Microsoft Security Essentials appear to be the cream of the crop for free anti-virus software (for those who don’t want to spend money on a product).

I lve FireFox, it has been my first choice browser for more than five years now, and my virus issues have been zero, compared to all the hassles I had with IE. However there is an irritating little program called plugin-container.exe that is a part of the latest incarnation of FF that is causing my laptop to really slow down and struggle. Does anybody know more about this that they can share with us?
