Big win for the Hokies!

Behind Ahmed Hill and freshman PJ Horne, the Hokies blew out Iowa on Tuesday night. Tech turned a tie game at halftime into a 24-point rout.

Virginia Tech and Iowa were tied at 38 at halftime, and the game had all the makings of a tight contest that would be decided in the closing minutes.

Whew. That was close.

Seth Allen made a go-ahead layup in the final minute to give Virginia Tech a much-needed win over Georgia Tech on Wednesday night.

Hokies get back on track with impressive win at home over the tangerines.

Virginia Tech put on a passing and dunking display in an 83-73 victory over the Syracuse Orange in Cassell Coliseum on Tuesday night.

If you've not been paying attention, the Virginia Tech women's basketball team is 15-0 and ranked 15th in the nation. They are playing some great basketball under first year head coach Kenny Brooks, who looks like another home run hire by Whit Babcock. Go see them play!

Hokies lead wire-to-wire and dominate No. 5 duke, 89-75. Voters can't keep the Hokies out of the top 25 now. Kudos to the fans who made it to the game and gave it to duke all game long.

As y'all have probably figured out, the original TechHoops staff have mailed it in. Maybe it was all those heartbreaking losses. Maybe it was ricky "program bomb" stokes (he's always a good scapegoat). Maybe it's the 13+ kids (that we know about) we have collectively fathered. As such, we're looking for new blood to infuse into what has become a labor of love. We'd hate to see it fade away, so if you know someone who would be interested in running the site, let us know!

Jarell Eddie suffered long shooting slumps in college, but he has made it to the NBA.

What a great win by the Hokies last night! Two great wins in three days and 2-0 in ACC play.

Zach LeDay scored 22 points and Justin Bibbs added 16 to lead Virginia Tech to a 70-68 upset of No. 4-ranked Virginia.
