Meet Roboscooper, the latest robot from WowWee. To be released in August, it looks like Wall-E with an opened arms.

According to RobotsRule, it has sensors in his hands for picking up light objects off your floor or knock them around. With the usual complement of funny phrases and sound effects, he can operate in autonomous mode or via the included remote. A six-wheeled multi-directional design allows him to comfortably traverse most terrain and infrared sensors give him the ability to detect obstacles that block his path.

I guess this robot will be added to WowWee homepage soon.

Google has updated its Google Earth application. Now, in version 5.2, you can activate the weather layer, click on cloud and see whether the place is snowing or raining. The best part is that when you zoom down through the cloud, there are actual raindrops on that area. Very cool.

I saw this on the printed version of Straits Times yesterday. There is a promotion on-going and I thought since iPhone 4 has launched in Singapore, there will be people rushing to buy screen protector (even though Steve Jobs will say this is unnecessary). PS: They also sell iPad screen protector.

Interestingly, this company spent so much money to advertise on Straits Times and on their website, it did not even provide a link to their online store. Anyway, maybe they wanted to leave it to the reseller to promote their product.

I guess it is nothing new. Apple iPhone 4 is now available for order. The building of excitement from the first announcement by Steve Jobs to the launch in Singapore, it has finally found its way into the Apple Store for Singapore. The delivery time (at this time of post) is 3 weeks. As usual, no White iPhone. BTW, I think the price of iPhone 4 is pretty decent. What do you think?

Youtube has increased the video upload limit to 15 minutes. Previously, you are allowed just 10 minutes of video to Youtube. Now, with these 5 minutes more, I am sure it will delight many people.

There is something that you might want to take note if you are re-uploading your video.

One final note: if you’re uploading a video that was previously rejected for being too long, you’ll have to go into “My Videos” and delete it before attempting to upload it again. Thanks and happy uploading!

Finally, Singapore joined other countries in the World to have the Apple iPhone 4. Singtel has managed to make the collection of iPhone 4 as fun and easy as possible. Watch me demonstrating the “Death Grip” on the iPhone 4. Can Singtel signal survive it?

To cut short all the waiting, the picture above is the first 10 person in Singapore to get the iPhone 4. Yes, there is a queue and the earliest one that was queuing for the phone starts from 8am. Instead of the usual “first in the line” to get the iPhone, Singtel invited the first ten on stage, with all the air-conditioning and entertainment, to get this much anticipated iPhone 4.

He is the first of the ten to get iPhone 4. Later I realized that they were lined up randomly. Nevertheless, here is another shot of them, beaming with pride while holding the iPhone 4.

Now, let me rewind to show you how the people enjoyed the wait for Singtel iPhone 4.

Singtel has done itself proud by choosing a single avenue for this iPhone 4 launch. The place is air conditioned and very spacious.

Singtel has invited VIPs and Media to this launch. There is even a special queue for them.

For customer who managed to get a reservation of the time slot for iPhone 4, they will need to go through a verification process. Once done, they will get a goodies bag and can wonder around the hall that showcased many of the iPhone games and are selling iPhone 4 accessories.

We were treated with live band and songs.

And in one of the performance, she uses the iPhone to play with the music of Lady Gaga.

And Singtel has put up a super big countdown display to remind everyone on the launch time.

She is the only one helping out with the handing of the iPhone 4 to the 10 lucky people.

Before the launch, Glenn Ong and Randall Tan went on stage to play some games and warm everyone up for the Launch.

The time has come. Singtel’s top executives were invited on  stage to do the countdown.

Finally, at the strike of 12mn (30th July 2010), the iPhone 4 was unveiled.

There was a little bit of confusion when the giant iPhone 4 revealed itself. Some pyrotechnics were let go.

All 80 counters were lighted up and the queue numbers started appearing on the TV screen.

While the queuing was going on, some bloggers “discovered” some interesting thing. There is a 64GB iPhone 4!!

It was actually the giant display during the launch. I wonder why they would want to show a model that do not exist. BTW, there is no WHITE iPhone 4 around.

and before I go, I decided to perform the death grip to see if Singapore suffers the Antennagate issue that others has suffered. Watch this video.

True enough, the signal bar dropped from full signal strength to 2 bar. I have to grip tightly around the gap of the iPhone 4 and waited around 1 minute to see this effect. I do not think this will affect many people. Of course, we shall see the “results” these few weeks.

Nobody saw it happen until Amazon quietly stopped the stock of old Kindle. Now, the new Kindle has been revealed and Amazon website is ready for pre-order of this latest addition, The Kindle.

This new Kindle has a 6-inch display, lighter and comes in Graphite or White. It has 2 model. One with WiFi only and the other with WiFi + 3G. It will ship from 27th August. Now they are taking pre-order. So sad that Singapore don’t carry it here.

Tonight will be a very special night. Singtel will be holding a launch at Marina Bay Sands from 12 midnight tonight. I will be there and I thought you can read this to understand what will happen tonight.

This time, Singtel move the iPhone 4 launch to MBS.

SingTel has chosen a new and bigger venue to launch the new iPhone 4 this year at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. We are selling the phones at a centralised location so that all customers with appointments can buy their phones from one place conveniently.

The event will spread over 2 days with 13 time slots for appointment with people who wanted to purchase iPhone 4. More about that later.

You may already know. Singtel iPhone 4 sales for these 2 days at MBS is strictly by appointment only. There are a total of 13 time slots and customers has to book the appointment online.

However, the appointment for both days are already full. Those without appointment time slot WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IPHONE 4 from Singtel for these 2 days.

Customers will only be served based on their pre-appointed timeslots and are advised to arrive within that window period to avoid extended queuing time. As stocks are very limited, Singtel will not be able to accept any walk-in customers.
