How to fix Diablo 3 Error 14009

This error is caused due to a problem with the cache folder that battle.net created on your computer. To fix this open the “C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net” folder on Vista or Win 7. Windows XP users can find this at “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net”.

You should see a folder called “Cache”. Rename this folder to any other name or delete it. Now start Diablo 3 and the error should be fixed.

The 14009 error code on Diablo 3 is also known to cause another error, the solution for which is given below.

How to fix Diablo 3 Error 315300

This is caused due to 2 problems.

First solution is to check if you have used a previous email ID with battle.net service. Try logging in with that username, if that doesnt work, try changing the password.

The other solution is to go to Control Panel and create a new user for your computer with administrator right. Login to the newly created Windows User and start the game.

This should fix 315300 error in Diablo 3. You may now switch back to your old account and the game wont give errors.

Note :- Before you start make sure you are playing on the right region, check this in option > account > server region.

These methods are not foolproof but since most users dont mess with a computers registry files, they will never figure it out.

How to Disable USB Port

If USB ports dont work, they cant copy anything to those devices. This is one method thats easy to implement.

Open the windows registry by typing regedit in the start menu. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

Change the value of the START DWORD and set it to 4. To enable USB devices you can change the value to 3.

How to prevent write access on USB disk

What if we dont want to block USB devices, maybe we need to allow files copied to the computer but not vice versa. Then we can disable write access for USB devices.

Open the windows registry by typing regedit in the start menu. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Create a new DWORD, name it as WriteProtect and set the value as 0 (zero). To enable write access set it to 1.

Other methods of blocking access to USB devices

Press the home button, start VNC viewer and connect with the settings.

Basic steps to increase the battery life of Samsung Galaxy S2

Widgets - Yes the Galaxy S2 handles them seamlessly but they also eat up battery. Turn off unneeded widgets or use battery friendly ones

Screen Brightness - The Super AMOLED screen is a huge battery sucker ! Turn of automatic screen brightness and reduce the brightness to a lower amount. Also reduce screen timeout.

Connectivity – Use 3G or Wifi connections when available. GPRS / Edge uses a lot of battery compared to the other two. Apps like Juice Defender sometimes cause a lot of overhead. Test it to see if it actually saves any battery for you. I prefer not to use these apps to control connectivity.

Find out what is using the battery on your Samsung Galaxy S2

A paid app called BetterBatteryStats can help you here. It shows you what programs have been using the battery. If there are any wakelocks that is preventing the system from going into Deep Sleep mode. It can help you detect the rogue apps that are running on your system. With the information gathered with this app, you can eliminate applications that use the battery unnecessarily.

Another cause of battery draining is CPU usage. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has dual core 1200Mhz CPU. It does not have to run at full clock speeds all the time, doing so will severely reduce the battery life of your device.

You can check the CPU states of your device by installed the free app CPUSpy. This app enabled you to see what clock speed has been running at. The stock Galaxy S2 usually runs at 200Mhz and then at 1200Mhz, leaving the clock speed in between unused most of the time. This is a waste of battery, to change this behavior we need to install a different kernel and that is only possible with rooted android phones. If you have a rooted phone and you are prepared to root your phone read on.

Improving the Battery Life of Samsung Galaxy S2 on rooted phones

This is where we can improve the battery life exponentially. First of all you need to have a rooted phone. If your phone is unrooted, then follow this guide to root the SGS2. Once the phone is rooted you can change the kernel that is running on your phone.

Now lets flash a new kernel to your phone. We will use the Siyah Kernel, since this is optimized for the Galaxy S2 with different governors. Installing the kernel is easy if you rooted your phone earlier. Use Odin on your computer, connect your phone, click PDA in Odin and choose the kernel file to flash.

Install a CPU speed contol app like No-frills CPU so that we can change the governors running on your phone. Leave Max clock at 1200, min at 200 and governor can be changed to either lulzactive or smartassV2. Set I/O to the improved SIO and you are all set.

Prepare to be amazed at the battery life your device gives you ! This is because the lulzactive governor increases the CPU clock speed upwards only when needed saving battery. To further save battery you can flash Cyanogenmod or the popular MIUI for even more awesomeness. You can find guides for that at the Galaxy S2 FAQ page.

Recently while installing the game on a friends machine we had a problem. The installation went fine but once he started campaign there was no menu to start the game. Just the background picture of the soldier and tanks. When joining multiplayer games, he could not see the HUD. The compass and ammo information was not there at all. After spending some time we finally figured out that the fix for this issue was something that seemed completely unrelated to the problem.

How to fix Battlefield 3 cant see HUD or menu

This issue is caused when the language settings of the game has some issue with the settings of the language on your Operating system. There is a method to check the registry to see if it is correct but there is a much more easier way to fix this. Download 2MB patch and unzip it to your Battlefield 3 folder. This will automatically fix this issue. The update folder contains the information needed by battlefield to correct the language issue.

Thats it try logging into the game and it should be fixed.

Note :- If you are using another language like Russian or German, please check the guide to change the registry values to english.

Alternative method

You can delete the registry keys found at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Battlefield 3] on 32 bit OS and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 3] 64bit. When you try to start the game again, Origion should automatically fix the registry. You can also perform a repair installation by right clicking game in Origion and selecting the option.

If you have multiple monitors connected then its an issue with eyefinity, this will not solve that issue.

How to Fix – Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service

Click Start button

Navigate to Programs > Accessories and find Command Prompt

Right Click on Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator

Click Yes to the UAC prompt is applicable

Navigate to the windows system32 folder (type cd c:\windows\system32)

Type netsh to start the netsh prompt

Now enter winsock reset

Close the cmd prompt window and restart the computer to fix the problem

Alternative Fix (if the above method didn’t fix the problem)

Click Start

Enter Services

Right click on Services and run as administrator

Check the services window to find System Event Notification Service

Ensure that the startup type is set to Automatic. You can also stop and start the service here.
