Before attempting this trick, try to make a folder with no name and you will fail to do so. This is what this trick will let you do.

Make a Newfolder on desktop or where ever you want.

Right click on this newly created folder and select Rename.

Erase the text showing "New Folder".

Now keep Pressing Alt (i.e alter key) and type 255. If you are on laptop then you need to enable your Num Lock and type from the highlighted number keys not from those below function keys.

After that leave alt key and Press enter.

Done you just created nameless folder.

In this trick i will show you to make a batch file in
notepad which will act as matrixeffect that you might have seen in
movies.Matrix effect is basically number flashes in green color.

Open Noteapad and copy below code into it.

@echo off

color 02
:start
echo %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random%
%random% %random%
goto start

Now save this file as Matrix.bat (name can be
anything but .bat is must)
Open your saved file and you will have matrix effect
on your screen.

Not backing up important files

One of the biggest mistakes anyone can make is not backing up important information. Today, there are so many different methods of backing up your information, there is no longer any excuse for not backing up your information. Make sure to backup all important information before it is too late.

Clicking Next or Ok without reading

Everyone has become more impatient thanks to the instant gratification we all enjoy every day on the Internet. However, because of this impatience it is not uncommon for new users to click Ok or Next without reading what they are agreeing to and not making sure there are no check boxes still checked. Make sure you read every prompt before agreeing, or you may be agreeing to install new browser toolbars, a program you didn't intend to install, or other crapware.

Not saving work

While working on a document either offline or online make sure that the program is automatically saving your work. If a program does not automatically save your work, you need to make sure you are saving your work every 10-15 minutes. If the computer loses power, Internet connection, or the program crashes everything is lost that hasn't been saved.

Turning off the computer improperly

With more users learning on Smartphones and Tablets before learning the computer, not all new users are familiar with the proper method to shut down (turn off) a computer. When you are done with a computer and want to turn it off make sure to save any work, close open programs, and shut down the computer properly.

Opening e-mail attachments

A common method of getting infected with a computer virus or malware is from opening e-mail attachments. Be extremely cautious and doubtful on all e-mail attachments you receive including any e-mail attachments you receive from friends, family, and co-workers. One of the most common tactics malicious users use to send viruses is from people you know to gain a false sense of trust.

Phishing

As computers become more secure, and users get more tech savvy, many malicious individuals have moved to attacking people using phishing tactics. Make sure you are aware of how phishing works and how you can make sure you do not become a victim of identity theft.

Spam

Almost all spam today is distributed by infected computers or malicious users. Replying to these spam messages will not unsubscribe you from any list and usually is never looked at or received. In some cases, a spammer may even use your reply as a verification that an e-mail works and send you more spam or share your e-mail address with other spammers. If you get spam, just delete it from your inbox

How to stop spam

Chain mail

You should also never forward your friends and family chain mail. If you find an e-mail hard to believe, make sure it is true before you forward the myth or rumor to anyone else like Facebook to charge and Microsoft free money.

Downloading and installing bad software

Today, the most common ways a computer gets infected with viruses, malware, and other crapware is from downloading and installing bad software on the computer. Always be cautious of free software and who is providing you with the free software. To subsidize costs many developers include other bundled programs or toolbars, and if you are not careful, you may install them during the install. As mentioned earlier, always be sure to read what the program is doing during the install.

Unfortunately, reading is also not always enough and sites offering free things like cursors, fonts, wallpaper, emotions, and other small downloads may be bundled with other bad software. When downloading anything, keep the below suggestions in mind.

There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.

How can I protect myself while online?

Don't install download manager

Many sites suggest or require you to install an installer or a download manager before allowing you to download a program you may be interested in downloading. These tools almost always cause your computer more problems and may even have malware or other spyware. Avoid any site claiming anything must be installed first before you can continue with your download.

Avoid advertisements on download pages

To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.

Cancel or deny any automatic download

Some sites may automatically try start download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.

Not keeping operating system and software up-to-date

The evolution of computers and the software that computer's use is always evolving. After a program is released bugs and security threats are almost always discovered by other users. Installing the latest updates for a program makes sure everything runs smooth and if security fixes are found fix those problems, so your data is kept secure.

Keep a computer on a surge protector or UPS

If you plug your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone into a wall outlet consider using a surge protector instead. A surge protector can help keep your computer protected during an electrical storm and make sure that nothing is damaged if a surge travels over your power lines.

Also, if you are using a desktop computer we highly recommend also using a UPS on your computer. Although these can be more expensive, a UPS protects your computer from a surge, brown out, and keeps the computer running if the power goes out for a minute or two.

Buying incompatible hardware or peripherals

Computers are becoming more diversified with Chrome books, hybrid computers, laptops, smart phones, and tablets. Although all of these devices are considered computers but not all the hardware’s are compatible with every type of computer.

Before purchasing hardware or upgrading older hardware make sure it is compatible with your computer, operating system, and meets the system requirements.

Follows the below steps to check whether your Antivirus is working or not.

1 Open Notepad, copy and paste the below code.

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

2 Save the file as Techzone.vbs(File type-All files) on your desktop.

3 If your antivirus is really working, It will detect the virus and delete it and if your antivirus is fake then it will not notify you.

Today i’ll share how to crash internet browser of your friends. Before explaining this trick let me tell you how this trick will work. You know what happens if a browser have to open 100 website at once, it’ll crash. So let start the trick. .

STEP 1.
Open notepad

STEP 2.
Copy and paste below code in NOTEPAD.

@echo off start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com start www.technicaltrickszone.com

Save it as (any name).bat (I recommend you to give any interesting name so that your friend must click on this file. e.g FreeRecharge.bat)

STEP 4.

Give it to your friends in his pen drive, when he’ll click on it ,then boom. . you can also check it on your pc, it is not so harmful..

Network Commands

netstat

Displays contents of /proc/net files. It works with the Linux Network Subsystem, it will tell you what the status of ports are ie. open, closed, waiting, masquerade connections. It will also display various other things. It has many different options.

tcpdump

This is a sniffer, a program that captures packets off a network interface and interprets them for you. It understands all basic internet protocols, and can be used to save entire packets for later inspection.

ping

The ping command (named after the sound of an active sonar system) sends echo requests to the host you specify on the command line, and lists the responses received their round trip time.

You simply use ping as:

ping ip_or_host_name

Note to stop ping (otherwise it goes forever) use CTRL-C (break).

Please note: Using ping/smbmount/ssh or other UNIX system programs with a computer name rather than IP address will only work if you have the computer listed in your /etc/hosts file. Here is an example:

192.168.1.100 new

This line says that their is a computer called “new” with IP address 192.168.1.100. Now that it exists in the /etc/hosts file I don't have to type the IP address anymore, just the name “new”.

hostname

Tells the user the host name of the computer they are logged into. Note: may be called host.

traceroute

traceroute will show the route of a packet. It attempts to list the series of hosts through which your packets travel on their way to a given destination. Also have a look at xtraceroute (one of severalgraphical equivalents of this program).

Command syntax:

traceroute machine_name_or_ip

tracepath

tracepath performs a very simlar function to traceroute the main difference is that tracepath doesn't take complicated options.

Command syntax:

tracepath machine_name_or_ip

findsmb

findsmb is used to list info about machines that respond to SMB name queries (for example windows based machines sharing their hard disk's).

Command syntax:

findsmb

This would find all machines possible, you may need to specify a particular subnet to query those machines only.

nmap

“ Network exploration tool and security scanner”. nmap is a very advanced network tool used to query machines (local or remote) as to whether they are up and what ports are open on these machines.

A simple usage example:

nmap machine_name

This would query your own machine as to what ports it keeps open. nmap is a very powerful tool, documentation is available on the nmap site as well as the information in the manual page.

Network Configuration Commands

ifconfig

This command is used to configure network interfaces, or to display their current configuration. In addition to activating and deactivating interfaces with the “up” and “down” settings, this command is necessary for setting an interface's address information if you don't have the ifcfg script.

Use ifconfig as either:

ifconfig

This will simply list all information on all network devices currently up.

ifconfig eth0 down

This will take eth0 (assuming the device exists) down, it won't be able to receive or send anything until you put the device back “up” again.

Clearly there are a lot more options for this tool, you will need to read the manual/info page to learn more about them.

ifup

Use ifup device-name to bring an interface up by following a script (which will contain your default networking settings). Simply type ifup and you will get help on using the script.

For example typing:

ifup eth0

Will bring eth0 up if it is currently down.

ifdown

Use ifdown device-name to bring an interface down using a script (which will contain your default network settings). Simply type ifdown and you will get help on using the script.

For example typing:

ifdown eth0

Will bring eth0 down if it is currently up.

ifcfg

Use ifcfg to configure a particular interface. Simply type ifcfg to get help on using this script.

For example, to change eth0 from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.2 you could do:

ifcfg eth0 del 192.168.0.1

ifcfg eth0 add 192.168.0.2

The first command takes eth0 down and removes that stored IP address and the second one brings it back up with the new address.

route

The route command is the tool used to display or modify the routing table. To add a gateway as the default you would type:

route add default gw some_computer

Internet Specific Commands

host

Performs a simple lookup of an internet address (using the Domain Name System, DNS). Simply type:

host ip_address

or

host domain_name

dig

The "domain information groper" tool. More advanced then host... If you give a hostname as an argument to output information about that host, including it's IP address, hostname and various other information.

For example, to look up information about “www.amazon.com” type:

dig www.amazon.com

To find the host name for a given IP address (ie a reverse lookup), use dig with the `-x' option.

dig -x 100.42.30.95

This will look up the address (which may or may not exist) and returns the address of the host, for example if that was the address of “http://slashdot.org” then it would return “http://slashdot.org”.

dig takes a huge number of options (at the point of being too many), refer to the manual page for more information.

whois

(now BW whois) is used to look up the contact information from the “whois” databases, the servers are only likely to hold major sites. Note that contact information is likely to be hidden or restricted as it is often abused by crackers and others looking for a way to cause malicious damage to organisation's.

wget

(GNU Web get) used to download files from the World Wide Web.

To archive a single web-site, use the -m or --mirror (mirror) option.

Use the -nc (no clobber) option to stop wget from overwriting a file if you already have it.

Use the -c or --continue option to continue a file that was unfinished by wget or another program.

Simple usage example:

wget url_for_file

This would simply get a file from a site.

wget can also retrieve multiple files using standard wildcards, the same as the type used in bash, like *, [ ], ?. Simply use wget as per normal but use single quotation marks (' ') on the URL to preventbash from expanding the wildcards. There are complications if you are retrieving from a http site (see below...).

Advanced usage example, (used from wget manual page):

wget --spider --force-html -i bookmarks.html

This will parse the file bookmarks.html and check that all the links exist.

Advanced usage: this is how you can download multiple files using http (using a wildcard...).

Notes: http doesn't support downloading using standard wildcards, ftp does so you may use wildcards with ftp and it will work fine. A work-around for this http limitation is shown below:

wget -r -l1 --no-parent -A.gif http://www.website.com

This will download (recursively), to a depth of one, in other words in the current directory and not below that. This command will ignore references to the parent directory, and downloads anything that ends in “.gif”. If you wanted to download say, anything that ends with “.pdf” as well than add a -A.pdf before the website address. Simply change the website address and the type of file being downloaded to download something else. Note that doing -A.gif is the same as doing -A “*.gif” (double quotes only, single quotes will not work).

wget has many more options refer to the examples section of the manual page, this tool is very well documented.

Alternative website downloaders: You may like to try alternatives like httrack. A full GUI website downloader written in python and available for GNU/Linux

curl

curl is another remote downloader. This remote downloader is designed to work without user interaction and supports a variety of protocols, can upload/download and has a large number of tricks/work-arounds for various things. It can access dictionary servers (dict), ldap servers, ftp, http, gopher, see the manual page for full details.

To access the full manual (which is huge) for this command type:

curl -M

For general usage you can use it like wget. You can also login using a user name by using the -u option and typing your username and password like this:

curl -u username:password http://www.techzone/file

To upload using ftp you the -T option:

curl -T file_name ftp://ftp.techzone.com

To continue a file use the -C option:

curl -C - -o file http://www.site.com

Remote Administration Commands

ssh

Secure shell, remotely login on a machine running the sshd daemon. Once you are logged in you have a secure shell and are able to execute various commands on that computer such as copy files, reboot the computer, just like it was your own GNU/Linux PC.

Or you can use ssh with a full hostname to connect to a remote machine (as in across the internet).

Examples:

ssh hostname

Connect to a remote system with your current username, you will obviously need the password of the user on the other machine.

ssh username@hostname

Connect to a remote system with your a different username, you will obviously need the password of the user on the other machine.

scp

Secure copy, part of the ssh package. Allows you to copy files from one computer to another computer, use -r to copy recursively (copy entire directories and subdirectories).

scp's syntax is always

scp machineToBeCopiedFrom machineToBeCopiedTo

Where either machine can be a local directory (on the current filesystem /) or a remote machine. Remote machines are usually machinesFullName:/directory (if you omit the directory part it will just assume the home directory of the username you are logging in with).

The example below copies all files from the current directory (not including any directories), the command will login to “new” using the username of the person currently logged in on the localcomputer, the files will be copied to the root directory of the remote computer called “new” (which is probably on the LAN):

scp * new:/

You could also copy files from another computer to another computer. Let's say you are on a computer called “p100”. And you want to copy files (and directories) from “hp166” (in the /tmp directory and anything below that) to “new” and put the files in new's temporary directory. You could do:

scp -r hp166:/tmp new:/tmp

Assuming you were logged in as “fred” you would need passwords for user “fred” on the computers hp166 and new. Add an user_name@ before the computer name to login under a different user name.

For example to perform the above command with user “root” on hp166 and “anon” on new you would type:

scp -r root@hp166:/tmp anon@new:/tmp

To copy from a remote machine to a local computer you simply do things in reverse:

scp remoteMachine:/mystuff/* .

This will copy files on the remote machine in the directory “mystuff” to your local computer.

Remote Machines: Please note that when working with a remote machine you need to have a : (colon) after the machine name even if you want the files in their home directory. Otherwise the command will fail.

sftp

Secure ftp, another part of the ssh package. This command is similar to ftp but uses an encrypted tunnel to connect to an ftp server and is therefore more secure than just plain ftp.

The command usage is very similar to ftp (the command-line tool), sftp (once running) uses commands such as help (for help), put (send files to the server), get (download files from the server) and various others, refer to the manual page and internal documentation for further details.

The fact that the function keys actually do something in the
Command Prompt is maybe one of the best kept secrets about the tool.

Want to know if someone is hacking your computer? Command Prompt can help you find if someone you don't know is connected to your computer stealing private data.

Just execute netstat -a and the command prompt will return a list of computers that your computer is connected to. In the results returned, Proto column gives the type of data transmission taking place (TCP or UDP) , Local address column gives the port with which your computer is connected to an external computer and the Foreign Address column gives the external computer you are connected to along with the port being used for the connection. State gives the state of the connection (whether a connection is actually established, or waiting for transmission or is “Timed Out”).

These tricks work on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and all previous versions of Windows.

Only you should be editing your Windows registry, so make
sure this service is disabled by clicking Start, Run, and then typing
"services.msc." Scroll down to Remote Registry and make sure the service
is stopped, and then set it to either manual or disable.

Lock It Down

It's always a good idea to lock your PC if strangers are
nearby and you step away for a few minutes. Just press Windows key+L to lock
your PC. Alternatively, you can set your screensaver (via the Screensaver tab
in Display Settings under Control Panel) to require a password if it's
deactivated by checking the box in "Settings" that says "On
resume, password protect."

Prevent Phishing Attacks

Protect yourself from identity theft and phishing attacks by
using the the latest versions of Firefox, Internet
Explorer, and Opera.
These browsers include protection that double-checks URLs against a blacklist,
and will notify you if you're about to visit a known phishing site.

Keep Your Software Up to Date

Hackers and crackers love to take advantage of exploits
found in software, which causes the developers to release a patch to plug up
the holes. Therefore, it's imperative you not only enable Windows Update but
also download the latest version of any software on your system, especially
your Web browser and antivirus program.

Be Wary of P2P Files

Virus makers love peer-to-peer file-sharing services. They
name their virus "Angelina Jolie Wallpapers" or something similar and
upload it. Then millions of people download it, launch it, and wonder why their
computers are infested with viruses. Download with caution, and always use
antivirus software. If you need an effective, free antivirus solution, we
recommend AVG
Free.

Wipe the Drive Before Donating Your Old Computer

If you are getting rid of a hard drive and want to render
all or some of its data unrecoverable, you have two options. You can
download Eraser to
securely wipe any file or folder, and you can use Darik's Boot and Nuke
SE (DBAN) to write over the entire drive. To use DBAN, download it and
burn it as an ISO disc, then boot from it. It will provide you with
instructions on the welcome screen.

Encrypt Sensitive Files

If you want to encrypt sensitive data, you can buy a
portable USB drive with built-in encryption like the CMS
ABS-Secure Encrypted Backup System, but if you just want to protect a
specific folder or group of files, we recommend Truecrypt,
which is free. It encrypts a custom-sized volume with 256-bit AES encryption,
so it's extremely secure.

Verify Your Backups

Many people have a "set it and forget it" mindset
when it comes to backups. Even after you establish a regimen, however, it's
critical that you check the target folders periodically to ensure the proper
files are being backed up. If not, re-configure your backup routine to make
sure it's working properly.

Back Up Your Data

You must back up your data, period. If you have the means,
we highly recommend an external USB drive . If you already have an extra drive in your system—but just
need some good backup software—try the free version of 2BrightSpark's
Syncback, which is sublimely easy to configure.

Turn Off Your PC During Lightning Storms

Even surge protectors can be overwhelmed during electrical
storms, and we've seen the results first-hand—fried motherboards, processors,
hard drives and power supplies. If you're experiencing a heavy-duty electrical
storm, take our advice and unplug your computer from the wall socket—just in
case. And buy a laptop to use until the crisis passes.

Enable S.M.A.R.T for Your Hard Drives

S.M.A.R.T (self-monitoring analysis and reporting
technology) allows your drive to report whether it's about to fail, which can
give you a heads-up to replace it. All the modern hard drives have it—go into
your PC's BIOS (press Del or F2/F10 during bootup) and enable it.

Enable Extension Viewing

By default, Windows hides file extensions, and virus-makers
exploit this feature by giving their executable program names like
Popularsong.exe, which appears as a harmless audio file if you have extensions
hidden. To enable extension viewing, open any folder and click Tools, Folder
Options, and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types."

Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes like Windows Updates and interrogating your PC etc

To get it back:

Click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This opens the group policy editor.
Then go to: Local Computer Policy then GO TO Computer Configuration then GO TO Administrative Templates then GO TO Network then GO TO QOS Packet Scheduler and then GO TO Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e."By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default." So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

For those that really find a lack of start menu in Win 8 such a big problem, well even without using 3rd party tools you can make a feature that performs almost identically to Windows 7 start menu.

1) On the bottom taskbar right mouse click ==> toolbars===>create new toolbar
2) Paste %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs in the select folder
3) press the select folder button

Now in the bottom taskbar you'll see Programs with a >> sign
click on the >> and you'll see a list of your programs in classical menu style.
