New Nexus 7 has been announced at the meeting . We've heard and seen many rumors of this in the preceding days and hours . All of them came to be true !

Google just put up a live stream video for today's event on youtube . We highly suspect that this is the event in which the Google Nexus 7's unnamed successor and the Google MotoX are gooing to be announced given that the event's name is "Google Announcement Event" .

Maybe this is the event for unveiling of the brand new Android 4.3/5 Key Lime Pie !

Nokia Lumia 625 - Big and Affordable

Nokia unveiled its latest offering , the Nokia Lumia 625 . The device has the biggest screen (4.7")ever seen on a windows mobile operating system . The best part is that it is in the affordable range of smartphones . The phone doesn't stop here , it goes on to pack 4G LTE technology also .

The phone look are mesmerising as all the other lumia devices are . It's curved glass looks amazing on the device . Nokia says it reinvented its polycarbonate shell of the back case . The back cover of Lumia 625 can be removed for entering MicroSD upto 64 GB with an internal storage capacity of 8 GB . Lumia 625 is clocked at 1.2 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4 .

Nokia has made its special lumia apps available on the lumia 625 like Nokia Smart Camera , Cinemagraph , HERE Drive to name a few which have been proven as fantastic on other devices . The Camera is not Carl Zeiss in this model but rather a Nokia 5 MP camera .

The Nokia Lumia 625 comes in 5 colours for the back panel which include Orange , Yellow , Green , White and Black . The device also comes pre-installed Nokia Amber Update , which is pretty cool .

The only con or disappointment about the phone is that it has 512 MB RAM , which is not an issue for a windows phone 8 device user who is not much into mobile gaming . Otherwise the 512 MB RAM works great on the other Lumia handsets .

Nokia is planning to release more handsets in the Lumia range ending with "5" which may denote a bigger screen and revamped specifications from its predecessor . Lumia 725 has its rumors like 625 did which came to be right , so Lumia 725 may just around be the corner .

Nokia also told us about the availability of the product . Nokia Lumia 625 will start shipping in Q3 and will have a price of €220 before adding into the taxes of the respective countries .

For India , the price is about 17000 INR before taxes , the device is to hit the stores in about 2 months from now .

Tired of slow Computer ?

Did you notice that your PC runs slower than usual or before ? Are you frustrated by the fact that your PC is getting old and is not able to fulfil your demands ?

Try these proven methods to reclaim the speed that your computer can deliver .

HARDWARE

If you have never opened up your CPU , well its time . Take out the panel of your CPU , after turning off , and clean all the components preferably with a blower ( don't use vacuum cleaner , use a small blower ) . If you don't have access to a mini blower , then take out a cloth and clean it with your bare hands . Don't press too hard on anything , just gentle swipe will do .

You Can clean RAM efficiently with eraser

The main components that can be affected by dust are your RAM's and Motherboard . Cleaning your RAM is very easy . Just take out the RAM and use an eraser/rubber to scratch off the dirt particles on the golden site of it .

This process must be done at least once in a month or once in two months to keep your RAM's unaffected.

If you have tried all the steps below , and still not satisfied , you could always power your PC by adding more RAM's into it's Hardware . This will surely make your pc faster than anything .

SOFTWARE

This is where all the magic happens . Softwares are the programs which have the potential to slow down , fasten up and some programs even sit idle and keep eating your RAM .

1) Check Hard Drive Space

Ideally , for better performance , the hard disk must never be filled more than 85% . To check this percentage , go to "Computer" , right click on your desired hard drive and click on "properties" . You will be shown a pie chart depicting the used and free space on that hard drive .

2) Install an Antivirus Software

Every PC needs an antivirus software if you are connected to the internet . Your PC is busy managing adwares and other malicious programs , getting an antivirus will protect you ll the time and will not eat up as much processing data as it used before .
Run a full system scan every 2 weeks and your system will be safe.
I recommend using the " Microsoft Security Essentials " for Windows . It is a good antivirus software and moreover it's FREE to install for lifetime .

3) Remove Unwanted Programs/Softwares

There must be some softwares which you downloaded for a one-time use but forgot to delete it . To see all the softwares installed on your PC , go to the control panel and click on uninstall a program . You will see a list of many softwares . From here you can select which software is useful and which is of no utility .

4) Stop Auto Startup of unwanted programs

Sometimes softwares add themselves to the startup programs list i.e. the programs that are going to open when you turn on your PC . This leads to slowing of your computer even when you didn't open any software on your own .

To prevent this , open the "Run" type " msconfig " and hit enter . A dialog box will show up . Go to the Startup Tab and uncheck the programs you don't want to run with the startup .

This is "Run" . Type "msconfig" and hit enter .

Don't uncheck any of the programs that have listed Microsoft as Manufacturer !

BE CAREFUL ! Don't uncheck any essential windows program , doing so may lead to a heavy damage on the system .

5) Turn OFF INDEXING

Uncheck this box for smoother windows

Indexing makes searching over your pc contents faster , but it also makes the experience of windows explorer a bit slower . If you do not need to search through your pc much often , you can turn off this feature.

To do this , go to "Computer" , right click on the desired hard drive and click on "properties" . Uncheck the check box saying "Turn On Indexing" . Apply the changes and we are done .

6) Delete TEMPORARY and JUNK FILES

Delete any unwanted files/folders . There are many JUNK files , program CACHE and REGISTRY ERRORS that eat up some of the space on your computer . This files do not only take space on your drive but also slower the processes involved with those programs .

CCleaner cleans up junk data with ease

I Recommend using " Piriform's CCleaner " . This software efficiently deletes the data that windows accumulate over the time but never uses it . Use this software every once in a week .

7) DEFRAGMENT you hard drive

Ausologics Disk Defrag is the best option

Over the years or time of using your computer , it creates fragments of data and saves it to different locations. Using a software which does defragmentation will help in this case by reconfiguring the data on your hard drive in an efficient way . You are going to be surprised by the amount of space you regain on you drive without even deleting a thing . The first time you Defrag , it will take about more than6 hours to 18 hours !

I recommend using "AUSLOGICS DISK DEFRAG " . Use this software every once in a month .

8) Check Disk for Errors

There might a hardware problem within the hard disk . To check for any errors regarding any drive , go to computer and open the properties of the desired drive . Choose "Tools" tab . Click on "Check Now" under the Disk Checking section .

Your system might say that it can't check for errors while in use , so it will ask you to schedule a disk checking session . If you click OK , disk checking will initiate when you reboot the system the next time .

9) Disable UAC - User Account Control [Windows Vista]

Open "Control Panel" and gain access to "User Accounts and Family Safety " and then " User Accounts"
Click "Turn User Account Control on or off " .

Disabling UAC is going to speed up the waiting time for a foreign software to launch without asking the user to open it or not .

If you are a SkyDrive user and use skydrive for windows , disabling UAC will also stop the synching of content with skydrive . As of now , there is no way the 2 things can stay .

10) UPGRADE TO THE LATEST WINDOWS

Updating to the latest version of windows always fixes the bugs and speeds up your computer . If you want upgrade to windows 8 , go here . Even better windows 8.1 update will follow in the next year .

Google MotoX video Leaked

We have been seeing many rumors and indications that google is working on a new device called the MotoX. This is the first leak that has shown us a supposedly a real look of the phone and even said about the releasing window . Google has been quiet in its I/O about this , but it seems that the wait was not for the bad.

Below are the features of the phone that are shown by the leaked video :

Hands free Voice Commands

The main feature that we have been craving for , since google showed it off in its expo earlier ,was the hands free voice commands . As the video narrates , the MotoX will listen to your voice and memorise it . The next time you can give a command even when the device is on standby . You can activate this feature by calling out " OK Google Now ....." and it will start listening . The thing that bothers us is the battery usage of this feature . Since the phone will try to track your voice even when on standby , it would be using is physical memory .

Notifications

The notification light has been a useful and yet a feature that was not developed . The notification LED does not tell us what is it notifying us about , but in MotoX , your screen will flash for a certain amount of time with the icon of the app that has a notification . I hope that google will not let the notification alert to e restricted only uptil the app icon and show us more infoemation .

Camera

You can press the camera shutter buttton to activate the camera app but in MotoX you can even shake or twist the phone to launch the camera even when using other apps . This is a fun and easy way to capture the moment .

Once inside the camera app , you will not find any shutter icon to press for taking the snapshot. Rather , you will have to simple touch on the screen to take a snap and a long touch will give burst shot mode . However , it is not clear how will the user be able to use focus while taking pics , but we may assume that the place we touch gets focused and captured .

The video didn't stop until it told us that it will be released on Rogers in August . Rejoice United States residents , you might be the first to get this device in your home market . This info tells us that the phone will be announced latest by mid-August .

Google is day by day making our daily search experiences better and amusing . Whether they have a playable google doodle or their search gimmicks . Yet , google never stops . The new and better things keep coming from google .

This time they have introduced the new way to search from mobile devices . They call it the Google Handwriting . It is currently available in 27 languages . What makes it fun - you just enable this feature on your device and go to google homepage . Now start drawing the alphabets of the words like in any drawing app . Google will translate your drawing into the search bar and show you recommendations .

Note: The Handwrite feature works best in the native Android browser on Android 2.3+ phones, Android 4.0+ tablets, and iOS 5+ phones and tablets.
It's available when you visit Google.com in your browser, and not in other search boxes found on your device, like within apps.

ENABLING GOOGLE HANDWRITE

Turn the feature on or off in your search settings. Touch Settings at the bottom of the Google homepage or a search results page, or visit google.com/preferences.
Go to the Handwrite section, select Enable to turn on the feature, and then touch Save.

For iOS devices

Launch Safari.
Go to Google.com.
Tap at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, or at the top of the screen on iPad.
Note: On devices running iOS 4.1 or earlier, tap the + icon.
Select Add to Home Screen.

TIPS FOR USING THIS FEATURE

Getting Started

When you have enabled or installed this feature on your device , you will notice a "lowercase g " on the right bottom corner of the google homepage and the search results page . Just tap it to use it and start writing anywhere on the screen with your finger .

Write Clearly

You should write like the computer fonts . Capital block alphabets may be the best , but google recognizes most of the small letters . Give a legitimate amount of space between 2 words or your search experience won't be good .

Autocomplete Help

If your search is more than 2 words or your search is a very common one like "youtube" , you can just write you and the google search autocomplete will tell you what you were searching for y giving more recommendations .

This tutorial will tell you how to make your own image link to put up on your blog or website .

1) For an image link you are required to have the desired 'link' as well as the the 'image' . Note that the img src should be a link from the internet and not from your computer's folder .

It should not be like this : img src="C:\Users\...image.jpg" .

2)If your desired image is already on the internet , skip this step .
To upload your image on the internet and make it usable , I prefer and recommend you to use google picasa or any of these 2 sites - Imgur and Minus

Also keep in mind that the image you will choose , cannot be resized after becoming an image link . For resizing the image before hand to avoid any disruptions , go to Picresize .

3)Once you have uploaded the image , you can just copy the code below and paste it in your HTML code of your blog .

The Reveal Presentation of Google Now tells us the capability of google now . Heading out in a car ? your jelly bean android device will track your route and tell you what's nearby . Google now will check the traffic conditions , the weather conditions and suggest the best route for your journey .

GOOGLE NOW ( Siri killer )

'Google Now' is a new form of search that ties your browsing and navigation histories together to anticipate your needs. Basically it searches for you based on the time and your location trying to predict things that you will ask

" While smartphones are taking on many of the features of personal computers, it is not really practical to leave them plugged into a wall throughout the day. This is a problem as apps, navigation services and faster network connections are causing our batteries to run out of juice more quickly than ever.

Thankfully, there are some obvious and not so obvious ways to extend battery life on our phones. Here are five tips worth exploring right away.

Know the good apps from the bad

Did you know that many of the more than one million apps available to download to smartphones contain programming errors and software bugs that mishandle power control? This means your devices can remain active when they should be sleeping. Yikes! Fortunately, not all apps are bad apples. In fact, there are a few out there dedicated to improving battery life. One recent offering called Carat (available on both iOS andAndroid devices) does more than simply monitor battery use. Over time, it observes how you use your smartphone and then makes suggestions about which apps you might be able to ditch to save battery juice. The app is still very much a work in progress, but it offers a lot of potential and at the very least can help you identify the most rotten app offenders.

If you’re an Android user, an app like JuiceDefender could be well worth a look. It offers many customizable features to help you get the best battery life. It can automatically and transparently manage most battery draining components, like 3G/4G connectivity and Wi-Fi. You can set a schedule when you want things to switch on or off, and the app is even “location aware” so it knows when to do things like switch off Wi-Fi when you are away from a known signal.

A more extreme and controversial way to save battery life on Android devices is to “root” the phones by using a custom read-only memory (ROM). While this can improve battery life by removing the pre-installed apps that drain juice every time you turn on your phone, rooting may lead to other complications that only advanced users can figure out. And most manufacturers and carriers won’t honor warranties after a phone has been rooted. So proceed with caution, if at all.

Learn to identify apps running in the background (and know how to close them)

There is a good chance that there are apps running in the background of your phone that you think you closed or reappear each time you reboot your device. Fortunately, it’s easy to identify and correct this on the iOS and Android operating systems with a few easy steps.

On iOS, a double click of the home button pops up a row of icons at the bottom of the screen. These are the most recent apps that you used. Holding your finger on one of the icons for a second brings up the ability to fully ‘kill’ the app in question. Do this regularly and you will very quickly discover some battery life improvements.

On Android, in the “Settings” screen, choose “Applications.” Under the “Running Services” tab you’ll be able to see which apps are still running, even if you think you’ve backed out of them and closed them down. It’s usually safe to stop certain apps, but it should be noted that some system apps run all the time, and terminating them early could cause issues. For example, killing certain Google services may mean you don’t get notified of incoming Gmail, so exercise caution.

Speaking of Google, Android users should also check the “Accounts & Sync” section in their Settings. Turning off automatic syncing for some of the apps may help gain back some battery life. Sure, you may still want to always sync your email, but you might be able to live without constantly syncing services like weather, Flickr, Twitter and other services perhaps. This advice applies to both iOS and Android users: check all your apps and see if they have options that let you switch off background syncing or updates. Some Android users also swear by various ‘task killer’ apps to keep their phone running smoothly and free of battery-sapping processes.

Keep your battery cool when charging (and while in use)

Your smartphone most likely uses a Lithium Ion (Li-ion) battery. Be aware that extreme temperatures can negatively impact battery life so whenever possible keep your device in elements between 32 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit. While a frigid phone should reclaim its functionality once it returns to room temperature, an overheated device could permanently ruin your battery. Over the course of a year, prolonged exposure to climates above 95 degrees could reduce a phone capacity by as much as 35 percent.

Beyond the obvious tips of keeping your phone out of the sun for prolonged periods of time or removing it from the car’s glove compartment on a hot summer day, there are less straightforward and equally important methods you can embrace to keep it cool. Remove any protective cover or accessory every time your phone is being charged. When you’re walking around, keep your phone in a ventilated holster or belt clip rather than a sweaty hand or pocket. And while over-charging will also contribute to an overheated phone, Ars Technica reminds us that it’s best to plug your phone in when low on juice rather than to run it out completely.

Only use 4G connections and other advanced services when you need to

While Apple’s iPhone continues to be a 3G-only device for now (expect 4G LTE capabilities for its next iteration come October), Android users are enjoying the spoils of running their smartphones on super-fast 4G LTE networks offered by Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Trouble is, 4G can be a real battery zapper, especially if you’re using it in an area of marginal coverage. If in doubt, your Android probably has a toggle setting where you can set your phone to use only 3G, You will soon see an extension to battery life that way while not really compromising speed or service.

And disabling a 4G connection when not needed is just the start. If you know you’re going to be away from home or a known wireless Internet connection, turn off your Wi-Fi locator. Also, GPS is particularly handy if you find yourself navigating somewhere new, but don’t leave it on all the time if you’re not using it. The same thing applies to Bluetooth.

One of the biggest battery suckers of modern smartphones are their bright, high-resolution displays. Automatic brightness controls that adapt to light can help, and you may want to check sound and vibration notifications and adjust those too.

Invest in an extra battery, booster or charger

If you discover your smartphone seems to be running out of battery life quicker than ever despite your habits remaining unchanged, it could be worth investing in a spare or new battery. It’s worth noting that aftermarket batteries not made by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are considerably cheaper. They do, however, vary in quality. Some aftermarket batteries can be trusted, but be aware of ‘too good to be true’ prices for smartphone batteries on retailers like eBay. You could end up with junk, or worse, a faulty battery that permanently damage your device. Buy carefully and smartly from trusted retailers to be safe.

And if you own an iPhone or other smartphone that doesn’t allow you to remove or replace its battery, consider buying a battery booster or at least an extra charger. Though they will add a bit of bulk to your usually-svelte device, something like the Mophie Juice Pack Air could effectively double the talk time of your iPhone 4 or 4S. There’s even the ReVIVE Series Solar Restore, a solar-powered accessory that will give a little bit of extra battery boost to your smartphone. Though these can only charge about 50 percent of an internal battery, that could still be enough to get you through the day. If not, an extra charger for the car or office should do the trick. "

Htc One to the power of x , yes that is the latest phone launched by htc , the One X . Apart from a little tweaks and bugs on tegra 3 chip model and the sense 4.0 , This phone has the capability to run over any other phone while running side by side with the samsung galaxy s3 (and some may say add Sony Xperia S to the competition but htc one x narrows sony just by an inch! ) .

We knew something was coming new to MWC (mobile world congress) when htc launched Titan II at CES . So here we have it , the all new htc one series that has one v , one s and one x .

Htc was known for the same mediocre design and battery life that started off with windows phone as their OS . Now htc will be known for holding the title of - "the best phone available in the market " , yea that's right , one x had to be put up from iphone 4s and galaxy s3 . Bought the new Nokia Lumia 900 or Htc Titan 2 ? I am so sorry to tell you that , in an year , your phone will be outdated . Windows phone 8 will be coming in nokia and htc handsets from this fall . What's the biggest thing , WP 7.5 is not upgradable to WP 8 .

That means earlier you had to go to your nearest carrier retailer shop and submit your phone to get updated . Now you can do the windows phone 7.8 update using your wi-fi at home , office , anywhere . This is also going to come in windows phone 8 .

With this launch , Microsoft has taken an unusual step . The Windows OS makers will now be competitors with their partners who use their OS . Isn't that weird .

They called so many reporters around the world just tell them about their new product which will not be in the market for months . The most disappointing part of the conference was that there was no demonstration video , no pricing detail or shipment details .

Though they presented a cinematic video of the new Microsoft surface , but there was just no information about its technological aspects .

The photographs of the Surface look good , leaving you with wanting more of it .

It seems like microsoft did this conference in little bit of hurry so as to suppress people from buying apple iPad 3 , Playbook , Galaxy Tab or any other slates .

The tab can be attached with a detachable keyboard which comes in 5 different vibrant colours and the keyboard is very sleek which looks great . On the awkward side , when you attach the keyboard it looks like a laptop resting on a screen when looked from the side .

Not long ago , HTC unveiled it's new One series and they hit us with 3 of them (sony did that too with their NXT series) namely , One V , One S and their current flagship One X .
Htc one v is just a level ahead of the entry level smartphones as it comes with pre-installed android 4 . Even Sony Xperia S is struggling to get that !

DESIGN__________________________________________________________________________

Htc one v has a familiar design that of htc ridge . The bottom panel of the phone is directed upwards in a curvy way , a little like the old telephones , but it looks cool . All the corners are rounded just like the phones in htc one category of smartphones . It is quite a slim phone at 9.24 mm with a 3.7 inch screen .
The back of the phone has a matt rubbery surface which doesn't let scratches to pile up like in metal or plastic body phones , smart move by htc . The phone comes in 2 colours - jupiter rock and gun grey

SCREEN AND DISPLAY___________________________________________________________

This phone has 3.7 inch super lcd 2 screen with corning gorilla glass . The display resolution of the phone is not as good as that of sony xperia u but not bad either . Sony xperia u has 280 ppi , htc one v has 252 ppi which matches nokia lumia 710 .
The screen resolution is 800 x 480 pixels which is like the least bar of what a smartphone's display has to be. The responsiveness of the screen is not as good as xperia u or other higher-end smartphones .

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE________________________________________________________

Htc one v has 1 Ghz single core processor which is not up to the mark but gets the job done . It has 512 MB of RAM . There is not camera shutter button on the right side of the phone which is a disappointment .
It has only 4GB of internal memory , another issue , yet resolved by the holy microSD card slot of compatibility upto 32 GB .

The biggest upside of the phone is that it comes pre-installed with android 4 , so no need to wait for ICS update like sony has done to their nxt series buyers . HTC Sense 4.0 is the latest UI by htc and they put it in this one . Htc sense 4 won't turn up many people as it does not amuse people .

A bonus for those who need more space apart from internal and external memory is the free 2 year subscription of Dropbox , the online cloud service which is very helpful in stroring data from anywhere as a backup .

CAMERA ______________________________________________________________________

The phone is packed with a 5mp camera which is good enough to take pics in outdoors as well as indoors . Using this phone's camera is a fun experience because of its different available shooting/capturing modes.
It also has an LED flash . It shoots videos at 1280 x 720 resolution which really nice .

Other cool features of the camera include Auto Focus , BSI sensor , Geo tagging , Continuous shooting and some more . But , but , but , you have to do it without the feel of a camera i.e. the camera button on the body is missing .

Samsung Galaxy S3 - Review

Android users can now boo over the hyped iOS as the world has welcomed a new beast , the Samsung Galaxy S3 . The S3 comes comes in 3 different variants according to its internal memory - 16GB , 32GB , 64GB but the memory issue can be neglected as it comes with a microSD slot upto 64GB .

This phone stands as the Korean Company's flagship . Just like the Samsung Galaxy Note , S3 is also somewhere between a smartphone and a tablet . With Galaxy S2's great success and sales , Samsung had to come up with a sequal that has better hardware , performence and oh , better looks with unique features (spoilers) . It's rivals can be HTC One X and the Sony Xperia S and (the over hyped ) iPhone 4s .

DESIGN______________________________________________________________________

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a unique design , a kind of retro one , but more refreshing than edgy phones like iPhone and s2 . The whole body will come in plastic and that to rich plastic . The phone is just so thin 8.6 mm !! and with its gentle curves around the corners of the phone will remind you of Galaxy Nexus .
The phone has new shaped home button at the bottom front .

SCREEN AND DISPLAY _______________________________________________

S3 has 4.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen which is quite impressive . The resolution of the display is 1280 x 720 i.e. 720 p HD . Watching movies and playing other videos on a 4.8 inch screen and that too super amoled will be a treat to the eyes . The screen resolution have lagged behind a bit by its competitors . S3 has 306 ppi , Sony Xpreia S has 342 ppi and HTC One X has 312 ppi , but beleive me you won't find any difference in any of the screens .

The one place where its screen is not seen good is in the direct sunlight . This is very surprising that with such great aspects of its screen it is still behind as in xperia s and htc one x we outdoor visibility is much more than this one .

SOFTWARE AND FEATURES___________________________________

The phone runs on ICS 4.0.3 pre-installed which is a good news. Android 4 is what Google has the best to give as an OS . Samsung has not only given ICS but packed the phone some whole new features which are currently on no other phone on the planet . These features make this phone stand out from others as unique and innovative .

S-Voice - Samsung's attempt at making Siri not the only voice-integrated phone in the market . Just like Siri , S-Voice lets a user to display sms , send sms , surf web , see weather info , call and the list never ends . On the edge , Apple's Siri stands out on the better side

Smart Stay - The front facing camera of the phone periodically checks whether the eyes of the users are open or closed . If one closes his/her eyes , the phone automatically locks itself .

Smart Call - When a user is texting someone and wants to call them , he/she just have to simply take their phone to their ear and S3 calls them .

Social Tag - When you click a picture with your friends , it automatically searches the faces and puts them as their new profile photo in the contacts .

S-Beam - A feature similar to NFC that we have seen , used for sending files and folders quickly b/w 2 S3s .

Samsung has also added a feature similar to Apple's Airplay but between s# and a samsung TV .

S3 will also tell you by vibrating or singing a merry tune if you haven't checked your phone and it has new sms's or missed calls .

The multitasking functionality has been improved by a great stance , while watching a video you can pinch-zoom-out it and put it on the home screen so that you can text your friend back or pick up a call.

HARDWARE AND CAMERA___________________________

Samsung S3 has 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor and 1GB RAM which is required to function the phone's amazing features and the quad-core chipset gets the job done .

This phone will give you fair amount of battery back-up of about 10-11 hours on full charge including multitasking and everything battery-exhaustive which is an amazing feat .

S3 packs a great 8MP camera and 1.9 MP secondary camera . The disappointment is that the resolution of the clicks is same as that S2 but that was also up to the mark .

When you have burst-fired some shots simultaneoulsy , the phone tells you that which shot is the best and shows a quick display of it .

Another new feature (also in HTC One X) is the ability to take still images while recording a video - a nice add-on when your pet does something .

The Camera's picture quality cannot be doubted to be bad as it has a very deep and shallow depth of field which clicks crystal clear images of distant and near objects .

What we don't like about this phone :

1. Plastic feel is not that great
2. TouchWiz is not user-friendly
3. Outdoor Visibility could have better

Sony Xperia U - Review

In the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2012 , Sony unveiled its new flagship of the its new NXT series, the Sony Xperia S . Along with this Sony also showed off Xperia P and Xpeia U which look are similar in looks with Xperia S . Sony made a smart move , launching 3 phones at 3 different retail prices which will appeal to consumers .

Sony Xperia U

DESIGN

The phone got its looks from its successor , sharp , bold and over the top a fresh concept . The unique thing about this phone that no other phone in the world has is its transparent glass strip at the bottom which glows according to what are you doing on the phone . Xperia P and S also have the same strip but they do not illuminate .

What else ? You can also change the colour of bottom cap by replacing them . If you buy the white phone , you will get white and yellow cap and if you choose the black one , you get the black and pink cap . Sony has not made these cap available in the market individually so that one can have the colours but in the near future it will , probably .

Coming over to its either sides , on the right side , you will find (from top to bottom) the unlock button , volume/zoom control keys and the camera shutter button .

On the left side , there is no button but a micro usb port which supports usb on-the-go and is used for connecting it yo your pc/mac , we'll get to that later . On the top side there is the 3.5mm audio jack .

Sony offers its original user interface , the Timescape . The phone has 1Ghz dual core processor which operates without any lag . The phone comes with Android 2.3.7 pre-installed and upgradable to Android 4.0.3 in Q3 2012 . No problem in using 2.3.7 but Sony always make it better .

CAMERA ________________________________________________________________________

This phone has a great 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 16x zoom . t can shoot videos at 720p HD at 1280 x 720 resolution . You can even turn on the camera and click a photo in a second from its sleep mode ! The camera application packs some more stuff like Auto Focus , Touch Focus , 3D sweep panorama , sweep panorama , geo-tagging , face detection , self timer and some more .

MEMORY______________________________________________________________________

Sony did something not really quite good , they gave no microSD card slot . Xperia U has an internal memory of 8 GB , 2GB for OS , 2GB applications and 4GB for Multimedia . The phone supports usb on-the-go , which means you can connect a pen drive to your phone just by a small cheap wire and therefore extend your memory , but that's not impressive sony .

This year's CES was not so good as we didn't see many new phones or updates coming up but then also you always get something new that is better than the previous one .
As CES has dropped its little bombs over the International market , We at TECHNISM TODAY have selected the best smartphones that were unveiled in front of us .

Anyways , The phones that we think will top the sales charts of the producers are (by rank) :

1) Nokia Lumia 900

Everyone was expecting a new range of Nokia Windows phones and they hit us with 3 of them , namely , Lumia series (710 , 800 , 900) .

This phone is specially made for attracting US markets and to sustain the brand's name in the league of smartphones .

This phone has the same look as the lumia 800 and N9 , which is a good thing , with some boosted up specifications of its predecessor .

We expect that this product would boom in the market.

2) HTC TITAN II - 16 mp camera

If you were flaunting your way with your new HTC Titan , you better not now because its successor is already here !!

The most attractive thing about this model is that this phone holds 16 MP camera , which means a lot .

Before this smartphone we acknowledged Nokia N8's camera to be the best with it's Carl lens , but now that day is also gone .

This phone is going to top the charts of AT&T .

3) Sony Xperia Ion

Another major phone manufacturer, besides Nokia, has decided to try its luck on the lucrative U.S. market - Sony. With Ericsson left completely out of the equation, Sony has introduced its Xperia ion - a pumped up smartphone equipped with a giant 4.55" HD screen, a snappy 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and LTE.

Of course, Sony knew that it has no chance in the U.S. if it doesn't have a strong partner, which is why it has scored an exclusivity deal with AT&T. We don't know about you, but we feel that the Xperia ion will be one of the better smartphones this year.

Nokia Lumia 900 unveiled at CES 2012

Frankly, the Nokia Lumia 900 looks exactly like the Lumia 800 from before, but to say it bluntly, it’s just, well, you know – BIGGER! Sporting that same lovable unibody polycarbonate design as its smaller-sized sibling, it’s absolutely a pleasure to behold since it’s still so foreign looking when compared to everything else out there. Sure, some of us might think and wonder for a moment as to why they didn’t go with a new design, but to tell you the truth, this is how Nokia is going to distinguish its Lumia line from everything else. All in all, it’s still one fantastic and chic looking device that embodies a lot of hip qualities.

Nokia Lumia 900 with 4.3-inch AMOLED WVGA screen

Just like the Lumia 800 we reviewed late last year the new 900 features the same 1.4 GHz single-core processor, but don’t let that fool you as this device is screaming fast and exceptionally fluid. You can see from the video below the 4.3-inch AMOLED WVGA display is very vivid and bright. I was only able to hold it for a brief moment before it was yanked from my prying fingers but it feels great. The soft-coat matte finish is wonderful to say the least.

The Lumia 900 features an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2 MP front for video. And all those essential Nokia apps such as Nokia Drive and Nokia Music. Current Windows software limits the camera to just 720p video but its 8 megapixel lens should take great photos if it’s anything like the 800 before it.

All this is wrapped in a single-piece polycarbonate casing with an 1,830 mAh battery for all day usage. Nokia did mention this was a prototype without final software but things ran smoothly from what we saw. Neither AT&T or Nokia have released any details on a release date or pricing other than “in the coming months”. Stay tuned as we’ll have more details soon and be sure to get a full review as soon as possible.

Xbox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: Set up

Xbox Kinect

Unlike playing Wii, which for the majority means picking up a controller, turning on the console and getting your swing on, just setting up the Kinect is an occasion. Because it picks up full body movement, everything within at least a six-foot squared distance from the sensor must be cleared. Trunks, chairs, small dogs, all must be out of sight. Kinect would rather you were positioned around eight-feet from the sensor, which won't be possible in many hobbit-style UK homes. If it's a bright day, you'll need to shut the curtains, too. The sensor doesn't react well to direct sunlight. Well, it's unplayable.

Using its built-in microphone, Kinect will automatically scan the room for background ambient noise to optimise audio levels. You'll also have to endure a speech test to setup voice commands and perform fruity moves in front of the sensor for it to calibrate you and your playing space correctly. It all takes less than five minutes, though.

After digesting the setup, we were in no doubt who MS is aiming Kinect at. The process is cutesy, the background music might has well have been composed by Nintendo and the avatars are like grown-up Miis. Fun for all the family it may be, but 'serious' gamers may not concur.

PlayStation Move

Plug in the USB PlayStation Eye, switch on the console, ensure the Move controller(s) are charged and away you go. Unlike Kinect, which has been designed to integrate into the DNA of the Xbox Dashboard, the Move is an accessory for games, nothing more. The lightweight Eye sensor has a tendency to be pulled out of position by its USB cable but its small design means it will fit over the top of your TV and stay in place, without the need for a bracket. We doubt Sony's engineers intended this, but who cares. It works. The Eye also suffers the direct sunlight problem, so rainy day or closed curtain play only. However, because the Eye only detects the Move controllers, you don't need to be so militant with your furniture clearance.

XBox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: The games

Xbox Kinect

With the exception of one launch title (Fighters Uncaged) that requires you to roundhouse, punch, headbutt, elbow and knee the gizzards out of your opponent, all of the Kinect's launch games are good, clean family fun. Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports and Kinectimals are all arcade-y, multi-participant group games that are so twee you feel like you have to brush your teeth after playing. Even the boxing is described as 'friendly'. Dance Central and Kinect Joy Ride are slightly more 'edgy' but you still feel come away thinking that it's the taking part that counts and that we're all wholesome winners in the eyes of Xbox. One advantage Kinect has over the Move is that many games are voice-controlled, which adds a level of interactive depth we've not seen on a games console. Kinect also trumps the Move on amount of launch titles, which will undoubtedly appeal this Christmas.

PlayStation Move

Of the handful of Move games we have played, our experience leads us to think that Sony is going for a more mature market. Sprites and graphics are less vernal and the feel of the games require more skill than those on Kinect. The fact that stellar titles such as Heavy Rain, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, KillZone 3 and Resident Evil 5 are being updated to support Move indicates the audience Sony is after. Yes, there are still the post-pub titles - Start the Party, Singstar and Sports Champions - that will go down a treat with a group of players, but the range looks better for PS3ers.

Xbox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: The motion control

Using your whole body to interact with games, results are genuinely impressive. It's quite bizarre watching an animated replica of yourself prancing around the television screen knocking down balls, jumping for headers and dancing like a buffoon. Accuracy is almost most of the time but you really need to be at least six foot away from the Kinect sensor. More, if you have the space, and certainly nothing like the Kinect game packet shots would have you believe.

We also encountered fleeting lag problems. Only a quarter of second out here and there, but if it's an accuracy or timing based game – largely all of them – then it can become frustrating.

It does a very good job of picking up multiple players too, but again, you need a decent amount of floor space to spread players apart so that Kinect doesn't mistake one for another. It's freakishly arresting how Kinect recognises different faces to log into character identity and Live services, though.

There's no doubting the landmark here. Along with PrimeSense, Microsoft has brought both full-body motion control and face and voice recognition into the living room. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but very impressive nonetheless and will leave many wide-eyed and open mouthed.

PlayStation Move

While the PS3 Eye only picks up the Move controllers, the results are more accurate than Kinect. What's more, you can play some games sitting down, without having to move furniture out of the way first. Yes, it's very similar to playing Wii, but it's a definite step forward in terms of how sensitive the controllers are and the depth at which you can interact with characters and objects.

In Sports Champions' table tennis, the bat can be rotated in all directions, on all axis and with zero lag. Being able to reach over the table, step back from the table or put realistic spin on the ball from any angle all works towards making it a more realistic experience. Add to this the more humanistic graphics and the fact that you're holding something when playing a game, makes the experience more believable than Kinect. It picks up multiple players with aplomb, too.

XBox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: Price

One of the biggest sticking points with Kinect is the price. Yes, the technology is woven into more than just the games, but ￡130 for the sensor alone is costly when compared to what Sony is asking for its accessory. There's no doubt you are getting more tech for your buck but we fear many will baulk at the price. An Xbox (250Gb) with a Kinect sensor and Kinect Adventures costs ￡300. On the plus side, you won't need to buy extra controllers as you ARE the controller.

PlayStation Move

The PlayStation Move Starter Pack (with PlayStation Eye Camera, Move Controller and Starter Disc) costs ￡57 (or around £45 online). Each controller is then around £28, So, four controllers and the Eye camera will cost you ￡133, which is more expensive than Kinect. However, it's a system that can be added to over time and the upgrade path for PS3-ers might seem more value for money. A PS3 console (320GB) costs around ￡280.

Xbox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: Extras

The sheer nature of Kinect being embedded into the Xbox Dashboard means that motion control goes far beyond gaming. From the Dashboard you can use voice commands to dip through the menus and use hand gestures to activate programs and apps. Voice recognition is reasonably accurate and as long as you've calibrated the ambient noise in your room you can happily bark commands from the comfort of your sofa.

There's also a great Sky TV add-on, which allows you to view Sky Anytime programmes (if you're also a Sky subscriber) but control playback with hand gestures. The SD Video quality is awful, especially on big TVs, but as a showpiece it's great. Grabbing a virtual playback bar and whizz to a certain point in your chosen programme or pause, play or stop the current video using hand gestures. It may be basic but it's one of the early examples of how Microsoft could integrate Kinect-style devices into other areas of consumer technology.

Video Kinect is essentially MSN Messenger on your big TV. Again, it's all cute avatars with a family feel but this is exactly who will be using Video Kinect – groups of people in a big room. Video call quality is good and it's interoperable between a PC, Mac and other Kinects. You need to have the Xbox Live Gold package (￡40), however.

Sony PlayStation

The one area where the Move falls short is with extras. You can download Move-enabled games from the PlayStation Store but that's it. The Eye has a video chat option and there is talk of being able to control the menu system with hand gestures, but none of these are Move specific. Paired with the Move controller, the Navigation Controller is essential for serious gamers and is used to navigate charactors through games, each controller costs around.£20.

Xbox Kinect Vs PlayStation Move: Overall

Kinect is an impressive piece of technology that offers a glimpse of things to come for how we will interact with consumer electronics. It's impressive as a gaming accessory and will undoubtedly be a hit with the Wii generation (all, but non hardcore gamers) this Christmas. While the face, voice and motion recognition isn't perfect, it's completely playable under the right conditions. If you've already got an Xbox, it's quite a pricey accessory. If you haven't, the Xbox Kinect bundle is cheaper than buying a new PS3 and Move kit.

Sony's Move is for more serious gamers. The games are more grown up, the skill level is a little higher and it's less arcade-y. The rate at which developers are making big games Move-compatible is also telling.

So, it boils down to the type of gamer you are. At this stage, we'd plump for the more mature Move but can see the draw of the Kinect for family fun gaming.
