This operating system is used in most of the latests computer devices. It has brought some amazing features and changed some of the computing processes. As a result, all the methods are not same in Windows 8 operating system as its predecessors. For example, if you want to connect a projector to your Windows 8 based computers, you have to learn the proper process of connecting it.

There are several types of projectors are available in the market, they have differences in size, shape or model. The configurations of them are also not same. So, the process of connecting a projector to a computer is not the same for all devices. But the main path of working is almost similar for all. Here is given the process of how to connect projectors in Windows 8 based computers.

Choose a suitable Location

Selecting a proper place is always important before doing anything, isn’t it? At first, locate your Windows 8 based computer in a safe and comfortable place. Then keep the projector near to your computer to connect easily. After that, you have to choose a place for the display, this is the most important part. You can’t place the display under direct sunlight, rather you have to keep away from bright lights. Because lights will make reflection and it will make you trouble viewing the display of the projector.

Place the display in a good height, don’t place it too far from the viewer. It will be better if you can place the projector near the power source, or it will be tough for you to connect both the computer and the projector at a time.

Know the Basic Things

You have to know some things about your Windows 8 based computers before connecting to projectors. Check the resolution of your computer’s display, then find if change is required. You will get an instruction guide with the projector, you will find there how to configure the adapter for the internet. Also check if any display requirement is needed.

Connect the Computer to the Projector

Now it’s time for the connection. On the back of your computer device, there is an external monitor port. You will find a VGA cable, connect it from your computer’s port to the projector. Turn on the projector and wait a while for the warming up of it. Then turn on your Windows 8 based computer.

Select Computer Screen

After connecting the cables properly, open the control panel of your computer. Select the “Appearance” option and hit “Adjust Screen Resolution”. Then select the “Project to a Second Screen” option. The PC will show you four options. They are:

PC Screen Only: It will disable the projector, only the monitor of your PC will work.

Duplicate: It will create a mirrored image of the objects on the display.

Extend: This will work as an extended display on your computer.

Second Screen Only: This will disable the monitor of your PC, the display will be shown on the projector’s screen.

You can choose any of these options according to your plan, all of them will work if you make the connection properly. So, this is how you can connect projectors in Windows 8 based computers.

With so many different types of make and model not to mention all the different technologies on offer, it’s no wonder that trying to choose a new television for your house has your head spinning a little.

Fortunately, there is hope. And this article provides a brief rundown of some of the most popular types of television on the market today and which could be the one for you.

1. LCD

The main plus point of an LCD television system is that they are extremely durable. Studies have shown that LCD’s tend to last a lot longer than other types of television when used for extended periods of time over a long period. If you watch a lot of television on a regular basis and want something durable and dependable then an LCD might be the best way to go.

They are also available in many different sizes so you’re bound to find something that suits both your room and your budget. A 42 LCD TV is sure to provide a great cinematic experience for your front room, and similarly, a smaller one can be great for the kitchen or bedroom.

2. Plasma

Where plasma televisions really come out on top is their picture quality. They are second to none when it comes to great contrasts, deep colours and rich blacks: if you’re looking for something that provides a great picture above all else then go with plasma.

With one of these you’ll be able to watch all your favourite movies and wildlife documentaries in stunning colour. They are also viewable from many different angles, so wherever you are in the room it will feel like you’re sat straight in front of the set. This is especially useful if you have a front room with an irregular seating pattern and want the potential to accommodate as many guests or family members as possible.

3. 3D

Brand new on the market and causing a sweeping storm through the home entertainment industry are 3d televisions. What was once only the privilege of cinema can now be enjoyed at home.

If you’re looking for an incomparable experience when it comes to escaping into movies and watching them as they were meant to be watched on the big screen then go 3D. Sure to be a real talking point among guests, they can be enjoyed with active 3d glasses or without and still provide an unparalleled and fully immersive movie experience whenever you want and without having to order tickets and wait for the trailers to finish!

This large number comprises many of your favorites like GTalk, Skype MSN Messenger etc. When it comes to the case of mobile devices the choices are simply changed to Whatsapp, Viber, ChatON, Facebook Messenger etc. And we’re now going to improve the length of your list by introducing a new messaging application to you, MessageMe.

MessageMe?

As its name says, MessageMe is an Android application which allows you to send absolutely FREE messages through your Android Device by an Internet connection. Just like their description in Play Store, MessageMe will simply remove your habit of ‘SMS’ing to your friends because you can simply install MessageMe in your device and tell your friends to install it after which you won’t be in need of SMS messages. Some standard messaging features like Social Network Integration, Location Sharing, Multi-connectivity support (EDGE, 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi) are included in MessageMe which makes the App a normal competitor to all other Messaging Apps available in Google Play.

But as a normal user of messaging applications, you could simply doubt whether there’s a need of another Messaging Application on the internet while there’s already a numerous apps in this stage. But I should say, MessageMe is a bit different from your normal messaging applications like Whatsapp or Viber. MessageMe development was led by Arjun Sethi, cofounder of a Silicon Valley based startup.

What makes MessageMe different?

Doodles – Be more creative buddies! MessageMe allows you to perform some Creative (Sometimes, Crazy ) stuff in your messages rather than stuffing it with text and some media attachments. Not only kids, any of your crazy or geeky friends will love this.

Light-Weight – MessageMe seems not to be greedy about your device’s battery neither of performance. Your device will be standing with proud even if you put MessageMe background for a while.

Multiple Logins- You can run MessageMe on numerous devices but the restrictions limit it to be either Android or iOS.

By adding Doodles to its communicative content list, MessageMe is actually giving itself a label ‘Fashionable’, of course. You can show your doodling skills from scratch as well as doodling on your existing photographs. When Doodles are added with normal shareable media like Photos, videos, audio recordings, etc. this small 5MB stuffed App becomes much better than you expect from Whatsapp or alternatives.

Addition of location and music sharing with friends is also a noticeable feature in MessageMe as none of existing apps are offering such. You can share a specific music file with your friends which are more intuitive than texts. Location sharing is also quite worth using.

Will MessageMe survive?

Most of you will be already in a thought that messaging app world is saturated and none of future app can get flourished in this field. But MessageMe’s developer, Arjun Sethi has a different perspective and he’s optimistic that MessageMe will surely succeed.

Conclusion

After finding all these facts, we must say that MessageMe is a worth installing Android Application and it has much more than a usual messaging Application like Whatsapp or Viber. But the application will be better if they are adding voice calls in it which will help the application to compete with Viber. What you think about MessageMe? Share it via comments.

Filedrop is a tiny and cute app for sending files between devices within one network. It is simple and friendly. Simply launch Filedrop on two devices and then drag and drop files between them.

The program’s interface is very elegant and is also very easy to use. Download and install the application on Windows and Mac on the same network. Run the program on Windows and Mac to start the search for computers on the same network with FileDrop. Simply drag the file you want to share in the box on the screen FileDrop Windows to share the file with your Mac and vice versa.

FileDrop is available for Windows and Mac, iPhone and Android version of the application will be available soon, so users can transfer files between the main desktop (Mac & PC) and mobile platforms all with a single drag and drop.

As default settings, FileDrop saves all files transferred in the Downloads folder. You can change this location by clicking on the Downloads button and then click the Change folder that is in the box FileDrop.

When you start FileDrop first on Windows Machine, Windows Firewall (if on), will display the message “Windows Firewall has blocked some features on all public and private networks.” Click the Allow button to start using FileDrop. And on Mac, you have to enable downloaded apps from System Preference> Security and Privacy.

How Filedrop Works?

Send files to nearby devices

Use your phone as a wifi usb-stick

Stream photos from your phone

Play music from your phone

Whether you’re a potential customer hovering over the checkout button or you’re a business owner looking to improve the security of your website in the hope that it draws in more click-throughs, one of the main things that can be done is to purchase SSL certificates.

Once a SSL certificate is bought, it can be installed onto a website or server and instantly improve the security of your business. This simple process is often all a business needs to show their customers that their welfare and security is of utmost importance, and there are many different options available, depending on requirement and budget. From the basic SSL certificate to the pricier Secure Site Pro with EV, there’s a certificate for everyone.

While many businesses are happy with the standard SSL certificates, Extended Validation can often be the wiser choice, offering a more in-depth confirmation of authenticity, to provide website visitors with absolute peace of mind.

The purpose of EV certificates is largely to provide the website user with a more visible idea of what the business is all about and adding to the verification that the certificate has provided. The green address bar is a giveaway sign of an EV certificate; as is the visible name of the organisation on the left hand side of the URL. For a business to be issued such a certificate, the licensed Certificate Authority must go through rigorous checks to confirm the authenticity of the site.

While many businesses may not need them because consumers already know who the domain belongs to, other organisations may feel that this added visible security will help their customers to realise that they are in safe hands and can trust the company with their sensitive information.

If you are planning to purchase a SSL certificate, be sure to weigh up your options and choose the one that suits your requirements perfectly.

Most people will think to test a system during its implementation, but what happens after?

Continual use of these systems means that you still rely on them, yet they aren’t constantly being tested for bugs or errors. You might be aware of pen testing, which is considered as one of the major formats of testing. This is something seen in other technology. A car is regularly tested to ensure its safe. Likewise, when dealing with online or computer based services, shouldn’t you use system testing to ensure your system is safe and working?

Changes

Part of the misconception that a lot of users have is that, because it was working when it was first installed, it’s going to be in the same condition. Software and computer systems are not static items. They are flowing data that interacts with everything around it. The wrong change somewhere else can often ripple through. Sometimes this causes unpredicted changes that slow down or affect the system, these are known as regressions.

As such, it’s important to test your computer system after major changes or developments. You want to ensure everything works in conjunction with each other, so the various methods of system integration testing available will check to make sure this is the case.

If not, you can usually flag up the source of the problem. Knowing is half the battle; in the case of technology, being able to pinpoint the specific errors lets you know exactly what to fix or replace.

Safety and Security

It should also not be forgotten that online business and commerce have a growing dependency on both their computer systems and the various software that runs on them. Some of this software is crucial to the businesses success. How can a website fulfil its purpose if the software that’s key to letting customers shop isn’t working, for instance?

Again, this is why you need quick and agile testing for your software too. If there are any unexpected problems, you need to be aware of them. Not only does this harm your website or business, it may be leaving potential loop holes for someone else to exploit.

Speed, performance, security and reliability are all key examples of factors that need to tested and checked up. If either one fails, then it’s going to disrupt the customer or user experience, which itself can develop into further problems. As such, a simple test now can save you countless problems in the foreseeable future.

03. Make sure the Samsung “Wireless Manager” application is installed on your phone. If you don’t have it yet, install it from the Marketplace. It’s a free application, located in the Samsung Zone.
04. Make sure you have set up an email-account on your phone.
05. Create a new email. You will need to address it to the email-account that is set up on your phone. Add the InteropUnlockByHeathcliff74.eml” from the archive to the email as a file-attachment and send the email to your phone.
06. Open this email on your phone.
07. Tap the attachment to download it.
08. Tap the attachment again to open it as an email on a new page.
09. On the new page tap on “Show all attachments”.
10. Tap on “Prepare.zip”. ZipViewer is opened.
11. In ZipView tap on “Prepare.txt”. An empty screen is opened.
12. Use back-button twice to get back into the mail-application.
13. Tap on the “mxip_ppgprov_1.provxml” file. This will show an error-message. This is expected behavior. Tap “close”.
14. Now DON’T press the back-button to exit any of the apps! Press-and-hold the power-button and power off the phone.
15. Press power-button to power on your phone.
16. When the phone is fully booted, start the “Wireless Manager” app.
17. When the app is opened, tap on “apn”.
18. Uncheck “Automatic APN”, if necessary.
19. Tap on the “Active APN” selection. This should show a list of available networks. One of them is selected.
20. Now it is important to trigger a selection-change. So first tap on another network. It will show a warning. Tap on “ok” to confirm. If you have only 1 network in the list and you can’t change the selection, then continue at step 24.
21. Select the original selection and tap “ok” to confirm again.
22. Press the back-button.
23. If you had “Automatic APN” checked before, you have to re-enable it now. Then continue at step 25.
24. When you can’t change the network, you may need to borrow a SIM-card from someone who has access on a different network. Power down the phone, switch SIM, boot phone, start “Wireless Manager”, tap “apn”, make sure a different network is selected. Perform the same steps again to go back to your own SIM and network. I have not verified this method, but it should work. Let me know the results!
25. You are now Interop Unlocked! But you are not ready yet. Some stuff needs to be restored. The ”InteropUnlockSupportApp.xap” will do this for you. The next steps will explain how to install
that app, give it the necessary Root Access and run it.
26. Go to www.wp7roottools.com. Download the latest version “WP7 Root Tools” (download from above link).
