If you have ever used a recent version of Ubuntu, you will no doubt be familiar with the Unity interface. Love it or hate it, Unity offers an incredibly quick and intuitive way to access your most commonly used applications from a launcher that appears on the left hand side of your screen. In a similar style, Swapps! (a new Android tweak) doesn’t attempt to completely replace the devices main launcher. What it does do, however, is offer a way of accessing all your applications from wherever you are without returning to the home screen.

fast payday loans for every one

Swapps! is the ultimate tool for multitasking on your android device. With a simple swipe action you can get to any other app you wish.

Swapps! launcher is always there, when you play, read or listen, you can always swipe and switch to another app.

Swapps! Active Panel is divided into 3 spaces:
* Starred – Your favorite apps will always be on top for quick access.
* Recent Used – the last recent applications that you used for quick switching between tasks.
* All Apps – Full app drawer!

Swapps features:

* Swapps contains full app drawer just like in your home app
* ‘Recently Used’ panel contains 5 last apps you opened
* ‘Recently Used’ app’s background process can be closes by long press on the app
* ‘Starred’ panel holds up to 10 of your favorite apps
* Swapps! is accessible anytime, regardless of which application is currently running, using a simple swipe!
* Notification icon can be disabled or made transparent in the settings screen.
* Fully customizable swipe-area (Side, Width, Height)
* Doesn’t affect battery life!!!

How to use Swapps:
- Swipe your fingure from the edge of the screen to the middle of the screen
- Choose an app that you’d like to launch
It’s as simple as that.
*KILL_BACKGROUND_TASKS permission is required to close background processes of recent running apps if the user chooses to.

Storage space is hard to come by and manage for some, especially if you have an entire archive of photos taken with a heavily modded, highly tweaked, HDR-enabled, twelve megapixel camera that seems to be the standard for modern day smartphones. Pictures tend to have a file size larger than necessary, but worry no more. Image Optimizer is here.

Developer teknoraver developed Image Optimizer with one main purpose, which is to heighten image compression ratios and optimize pictures. With support for JPEG and PNG files so far, Image Optimizer allows you to reduce file size of images, while suffering minimal quality loss. The application also allows users to optimize multiple images at once in a batch job. Image Optimizer also allow the flexibility to select the quality level of compression, and it has the option to skip certain images if compression level is lower than a user-defined threshold. The optimize function sets your pictures to the most suitable size, while retaining optimal image quality. Images can be organized by date, name, and size.

Image Optimizer is most useful for Android users who need to clear up some photo space, at the possible expense of some additional compression artifacts.

Description

Image Optimizer optimizes allows you to save space on your smartphone by optimizing your image files.Image Optimizer supports two optimization techniques, you have the choice:

★ compress your photos to save a big amount of space with a slight, often unnoticeable quality loss
★ just optimize your picture while retaining the original quality

If you have questions, bugs, suggestions, please contact me by mail, don’t use the market comment as It’s impossible for me to reply and help you!

Both JPEG and PNG files are supported!

Notes:
★ some devices with few space already compress images with an high ratio, so it’s normal to save a few bytes or nothing at all, since Image Optimizer will never save a new image bigger than the original!
★ on some devices the pictures are stored in a non standard directory, support for directory browsing is coming!

The evad3rs, new jailbreak team by Musclenerd, Pimskeks, Planetbeing and Pod2g released iOS 6.1 jailbreak solution as Evasi0n. Latest tool will work on all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running on iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2 and iOS 6.1, but you must make sure that these operating systems have been installed using iTunes restore function and not an OTA Software Update directly from iDevice’s.

According to the Evad3rs team, the following devices are supported on iOS versions 6.0 through 6.1:

iPhone 5

iPhone 4S

iPhone 4

iPhone 3GS

iPad 4

iPad 3

iPad 2

iPad mini

iPod touch 5

iPod touch 4

Apple TV 2 (NOT third-gen)

The “untethered” status means you can safely reboot your device without having to worry about losing your jailbreak or any of the built-in features, as opposed to a “tethered” jailbreak that requires you to plug your device into a computer and re-run the jailbreaking app anytime you reboot it.

Step 1: Download Evasi0n jailbreak tool tailored for your OS (Windows / Mac / Linux).

Step 2: Download iOS 6.1, and update your device to it using iTunes.

Step 3: Make sure you don’t have any passcode set on your device. You can disable Passcode lock from: Settings –> General –> Passcode Lock –> Off

Step 4: Make sure both iTunes and Xcode (if installed) are not running.

Step 5: Start the Evasi0n jailbreak tool on your computer.

Step 6: Connect the relevant iOS device to your PC or Mac via the 30-pin or Lightning cable (depending on the generation of the hardware). Make sure that the connected hardware is recognized by the jailbreak tool.

Step 7: Select the Jailbreak option and relax as the software performs the necessary steps in the background to inject and run through the jailbreaking process.

Step 8: Be patient, do not touch your device or anything on computer during jailbreaking process. When the jailbreak process has finished, Evasi0n will alert you.

Step 9: Once done, your device will reboot and you will have Cydia on your iPhone.

Here is Video tutorial of evasi0n jailbreak tool.

As you may already know Hackulous the famous hacker group behind installous and app sync for installing cracked apps on iOS devices has been closed. So if you need cracked/paid apps for free you might use some other cydia apps like appcake to install crack apps on iPhone. There is new method i have found lately which will actually let you install paid apps for free on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad for free with out jailbreak. Means you can install paid apps free on iPhone 5 and iPad 4 which are still NOT Jailbroken.

The whole method has been explained in the video posted below, before you continue kindly read the summary for this method.

Please sign in with your apple email ID on your iPhone iPod Touch or iPad before you begin.

1) Download the software called Kuaiyong from here:http://www.mediafire.com/?ls2ab5eli280js1
2) Launch the setup of Kuaiyong, and install it (simple setup)
3) After Installing the Software, plug-in your iDevice with USB Cable.
4) Launch Kuaiyong.
5) Watch Video for the interface of this program. You can search for a particular app in it as well. The names are tricky but with a little effort you will get used to it.
6) Once you have selected the app to download, hit ‘Red’ button as shown in the video. Wait for it to download.
7) After download is finished, your App will be sync to your iPhone/iPod Touch or iPad automatically.

Note#1: This works on all iDevices including: iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5
Note#2: This also works on all iOS Versions: iOS3, iOS4, iOS5, iOS5.1.1, iOS6, iOS6.0.1
Note#3: If the program asks you to sign with your Apple ID and then crashes then Please turn off your wifi on your device. Also turn off its 3G/4g or Edge network (Cellular Data) in your Settings then General then Cellular/Network. Then install/re-install app.

Disclaimer: This is done only for Developer Purposes. So be nice & keep it clean.

iPhone Dev team has just released Redsn0w 0.9.15b1, which includes a large number of features and improvements. Redsn0w 0.9.15b1 finally tethered iOS 6.0 jailbreak without asking for pointing to iOS 6 and installs Cydia, so you don’t have to install it manually. It also includes the new iOS 5.x.x restore feature, that will allow iOS 5.x users to restore their devices to any iOS 5.x firmware if they’ve the appropriate SHSH blobs.

Some of the key features of new Redsnow are given below:

First, the high-level new feature list:

restore from any 5.x iOS to any other (up, down or the same) 5.x iOS on all devices as long as you have the correct blobs (see more below)

Cydia now included in the tethered 6.0 jailbreak on A4 devices

automatically “Just Boot” tethered when qualifying A4 device connects in DFU mode

untethered 6.0 jailbreak on old-bootrom 3GS

untethered 6.0 hactivation on any 3GS or iPhone4

directly restore pre-A5 devices to earlier firmware — no more complicated 15-step how-to’s with stitching, iTunes errors, and “hosts file” concerns

fetch new signed blobs for any IPSW (present or future — no redsn0w update required) using Extras->SHSH Blobs->New

block the BB update for any 3GS or iPhone4 restore (past, present, or future — no redsn0w update required) using Extras->Even More->Restore

deactivate any iPhone, useful for testing your “official” unlock status through iTunes. (Please only deactivate your own iPhone!)

activation status shown on “Even more” page

significantly more (very nerdy) info returned by “Identify” button when device is in Normal mode

tethered jailbreak of ATV2 supported (but the only thing available for it is the SSH2 custom bundle availablehere — no Cydia yet. Must use “Select IPSW” for tethered boot of ATV2 for now).

auto-exit WTF mode for older devices with broken buttons

any time a set of blobs is fetched remotely (from Apple or Cydia), redsn0w also saves them locally (and will check there first if you click “Local”)

for your future restoring convenience, you should also submit all of your past and present TinyUmbrella blobs to Cydia if you haven’t done so yet. Resubmitting is okay and won’t cause conflicts.

There is tutorial guide on how to update your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS firmware without updating the baseband to iOS 6.

12: Once your device enter DFU mode the actual Jailbreak process will start and exploited with Limera1n.

13: Redsn0w will tell you when the restore has been completed successfully.

ultrasn0w isn’t yet updated for 6.x

by now you probably should be taking advantage of the extremely cheap IMEI-based unlocks of iPhones sold by established online retailers like http:://cutyoursim.com

still, IMEI-based unlocks don’t work in all cases. We’ll announce when ultrasn0w is ported up to 6.x

redsn0w will still hactivate your 3GS or iPhone4 if you run it before the device is activated. Due to the current tethered 6.x JB status, redsn0w now hactivates 6.x without requiring subsequent tethered boots. If you accidentally hactivate with redsn0w, use the “Deactivate” checkbox available from the Jailbreak screen, not the normal one in “Even more”

We will update this post once Ultrasn0w gets updated.

First unveiled in June, iOS 6 includes 200 new and updated features, including a Google-free Maps app, Facebook integration, the new Passbook app, and a Siri upgrade. iOS 6 is finally available for public consumption and you can get it one of two ways: You can plug your iOS device in to your computer and check iTunes for an update, or you can go into the settings menu on your iPhone (3GS, 4 or 4S), iPod touch (4G, 5G) or iPad (iPad 2 or New iPad) and navigate to General > Software Update. And while updating shouldn’t wipe out your previously stored data, you should back your device up just to be safe. And if you don’t see the update popping up right away, just give it a minute. These things can sometimes take a while when first rolling out.

iOS 6 is compatible with the following devices:

iPhone 3GS

iPhone 4

iPhone 4S

iPhone 5

iPod touch (4th gen)

iPod touch (5th gen)

iPad 2

New iPad

As informed earlier today, jailbreakers should stay away from iOS 6 as you’ll lose your jailbreak. iOS 6 tethered jailbreak for A4 devices will be released later tonight but for A5 devices (iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and the new iPad), you won’t get your jailbreak before months.

If you don’t normally save your contacts to your SIM card, it may be frustrating to have to manually punch in all your contacts when you start using a new iPhone or any other smartphone.

But the easiest way to transfer your contact list within minutes is to use Google Contacts to help sync your accounts between both Android and iPhone operation systems. But if you are un aware of Google contacts we are here to provide all other methods on how to transfer your contacts from Android to iPhone.

If the contacts on your Android device are saved directly to the device itself, you must export them from the device and then import them into an account that can be set up to synchronize with the iPhone. If the contacts on your Android device are already synchronized to Google, or to a Microsoft Exchange or Outlook account, they can be synchronized directly to your iPhone.

Exporting contacts saved on your Android device:

On the Android device, open Contacts

Tap the Menu key and tap Import/Export

Tap the option to Export to SD card

Save your contacts to the 00001.vcf file, which will be saved to the top-level, or “root folder‟ of the microSD card

Connect the Android device to a computer via USB cable. If prompted, ensure Mass Storage mode is selected to mount the memory card to the PC. If not prompted, check the notification bar for USB connection options.

From the computer, click on My Computer, and browse to the microSD card (listed as removable disk) and copy the new 00001.vcf file from the root folder to your computer

Now you can Import this .vcf file to your Gmail or Outlook account.

For Gmail, open your Gmail account on your computer and click Settings > Import> Browse and locate 00001.vcf on your SD card.

For Outlook, open your email on your computer, then click File > Import and Export > Browse and locate 00001.vcf on your SD card

Your contacts are now backed up to the Gmail or Outlook account and ready to import into your iPhone.

To import the contacts from these accounts to the iPhone:

For Outlook users, go to iTunes and select Import contacts from Outlook

For other accounts (including Google and Exchange accounts):

On the iPhone tap Settings

Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Tap Add Account

Tap Microsoft Exchange. (Do not tap Gmail for Gmail accounts)

Enter the Email address, Domain (Enter a Domain for Exchange accounts only. For Gmail accounts, leave this field blank), Usernameand Password

Tap Next

Tap Server and enter the Exchange server address (Enter m.google.com for Gmail accounts)

Tap Next

Tap to ensure that Contacts is set to On

The Google or Exchange account contacts are now synchronized to the iPhone.

If your smartphone screen or tablet isn’t scratch-resistant, you may consider getting an inexpensive screen protector to safeguard the glass display of your expensive mobile device from scratches and other wear and tear.

The below YouTube video will illustrate a simple trick and tip that will help you attach the screen protector film on any mobile device but without any air bubbles or creases.

The first thing as seen in the video is to ensure that you have a perfectly clean screen before you want to apply it. This goes right down to choosing the perfect room for application. You should do it in the bathroom, a naturally clean room, and run a hot shower for a couple of minutes first of all to generate steam with which you will wipe your screen completely clean.

After you have cleaned your screen, you will take the screen protector and the (usually) included applicator card – don’t worry if you don’t have an applicator card, a normal credit or debit card will suffice. You will want to slightly peel away the top edge of the screen protector and stick it to the edge of your device’s screen.

Next, you want to slowly peel away the screen protector further, constantly applying pressure to it as you do so, so that it sticks down to your device. Don’t worry if there are small air bubbles at this stage, you will be able to get them out afterwards. Once this is applied, you are able to remove the final layer of the screen protector by simply pulling the tab and gently pulling it away.

Now take your applicator card and carefully try to wipe the air bubbles out from underneath the screen protector. This can take a bit of time, normally a couple of minutes, but the more you do it the more you will benefit from the results.

Samsung plan to unveil the latest in its Galaxy line, S 4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2012, company officials and its local part suppliers told The Korea Times on Sunday.

The article states that this is part of Samsung’s annual cycle, but it is interesting to note that the anticipated launch date for the Galaxy S4 is just nine months after the Galaxy S3 debuted. If correct (and it is still too early to be sure), that time-frame is significant. Apple traditionally launches its devices later in the year, so Samsung’s move to bring its phones to market earlier hints that it wants its newest models to hit the market in the middle of Apple’s launch cycle, to maximise sales opportunities and avoid direct rivalry.

This seems just a little bit soon to me, given that the S3 only launched in May.
