With emerging technology, more and more tasks are being completed remotely. I, myself, encounter many occasion where I have to access some computer remotely, whether it’s to help my friend with something, or helping my boss find some files.

How to access remote computers with Chrome ?

You needed an application installed on your computer (team viewer), and the same application was required on the other side, but not anymore. Now you can use your Chrome browser for the job. Chrome has introduced an application, though it's in beta, which lets you access any computer with proper permissions.

All you need is to get the chrome application called Chrome remote desktop here. After you have added the application to your chrome, just open a new tab; there you will find an icon of Chrome remote desktop, and by clicking it, you will open the application.

Once you have the application, click on the share desktop and you will be provided with a unique Key that you can share with anybody you wish to invite.

After the remote meeting is over, you just simply disconnect the session.

So, this is how simple it is. Just install the app, create a unique key, and you are there.

Being a vigorous reader, I feel it overwhelmingly bothersome to scroll through the PDF to get to the page you were reading last time. What I used to do for the solution was to rename the document and putting the page number, where I currently am, in the end of the name.

The solution was fine, but then I grew weary of that as well. So after some research I found this simple solution to bookmark pages in a PDF.

Bookmarking a Page in PDF
Well, it's not exactly a bookmark, but it does the job well. What we do is that we ask adobe reader to remember the last page we were at, and open it next time the document is opened.

So how do we save the last viewed page in Adobe Reader:

Firstly, open a PDF document in adobe reader, then go to Edit in the menu bar.

then, go to preferences.

Select Document in the options presented at the left side of the window.

When you are at the Document tab, you will find Open Settings, and under that you will find 'restore last view setting when opening the documents'. Select this option by check marking it.

Now when ever you will open a PDF document, it will open it being on the page that was open when the document was closed last time.

This little tweak has helped me a lot and I hope that it will help other readers too.
