How to Create a Bootable Pendrive from ISO

Many operating systems and recovery soft wares are coming in ISO format. We can create a bootable DVD or Bootable pendrive with that ISO file. recently, windows 10 operating system released with an ISO download facility. This short guide gives you information about creating a bootable pen drive or flash drive.

Download the ISO file from official websites. The file extension for this is "filename.iso".
If you are using windows or linux or mac operating systems, download unetbootin from official site, open the software in your computer.
If you don't know the ISO distribution type or If you want to create a disk with Windows 10, select "Diskimage" radio button. Next Insert the pen drive and select the location of the ISO file. click on OK.
Wait till completion of the copying files to the pen drive. It will automatically creates a boot sector on pen drive to load at booting stage of your computer.
After finishing the installation on pen drive, click on exit and remove the pendrive. No need reboot instantaneously. If you want to upgrade to windiows 10, just open the pendrive and double click on the setup file.
If you want to do fresh install of windows or linux, restart your system and boot with pen drive. You can press F10 (might vary from system to system) at boot to display boot options.
If it is not appeared, you required to change the boot options by pressing F2 at startup to modify BIOS settings.
Now proceed with the installation process,

How to Enable Hibernate option in Windows 10

Open control panel in windows 10 by doing "right click on the start button".
Search for "Power Options" at top right corner search box and click on the power option button in the results.
Select the option "choose what the power button does" on the left side of the window.
Click on "Change the settings that are currently unavailable".
Give a tick mark to the "Hibernate check box" and click on save changes.
Now click on the power button to see an extra hibernate option along with default three options.

How to Upgrade to Windows 10

If you reserve your copy of windows already, you can wait till your time comes or do the manual upgrade process and it's easy.
If you don't see the reserve icon at bottom right corner of the windows task bar, you need to update your PC or do enable automatic updates.

Run the tool as administrator. This tool will now download the windows 10 for you based on your PC configuration. One option is for direct upgrading the PC. Other option is for downloading the windows 10 for other devices (ISO file or directly to pen drive), ISO file is recommended for own system too.
You may get a strange error sometimes " Something Happened". It is actually meaning less. You supposed to change system language to US in control panel, region settings.
Formats tab: select English (United States).
Location tab: United States.

Administrative tab: change system locale to English (United States).
Now restart the system. Re-run the "Media Creation Tool" as an administrator and follow the step 3.
The tool will start downloading as per your choice, direct upgrade or to the flash drive or as an ISO file. I personally recommend ISO file. If any problem occurred in the future, we can directly write that ISO file to the flash drive and proceed with fresh installation.
Which version of Windows 10 should I download? (source: microsoft.com)
Now wait and relax till completion of the downloading process. It will create an ISO file or creates a flash drive (Move to step 11) or will do step 10 if it is direct upgrade after downloading progress 100%.
It will prepare your system for installation and also it will do some update process (If it is direct upgrade).
If you are doing through ISO file, write the ISO file to the pen drive using "unetbootin". Now open the pen drive and double click on the "setup" file directly from Windows 7 or from Windows 8.1. (Click here for the guide to create a bootable pendrive from ISO).
It will start the updating and installation process. You should have lot of patience.
After installing the files, It will do original upgrade. It might take around 1 hour to complete based on your system performance.
Wait till completion of the upgrading process and finish final basic procedure.
It won't ask for any key during this process and your windows will activate automatically. If your system is activated once, you can perform complete format and reinstall at anytime with the ISO file what you've downloaded.

Asus Zenfone 5 is latest and hot release this year. It has a wide variety of features with android version 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and upgradable to 4.4 (KitKat) version. I've tested with many applications along with different games and found performance is pretty decent. So start reading review of this phone.

This is my 30 days of experience with the phone about different pros and cons.

Display/Screen

Pros:
Screen look is superb with capacitive 5 inch IPS Display and HD (1280x720 pixels) screen resolution and 294 PPI (Pixels per Inch).

It is using Asus TruVivid Technology. And one interesting thing is Gorilla Glass 3, protects from scratches.

Brightness is good and at satisfied level. 16M colors.

You can drag and drop all apps on the home screen. You can also make apps as different groups. See the side image Asus, Google icons.

Cons:
It would be good if it supports FULL HD display (1920x1080 pixels). But at this price it is acceptable.

Conclusion: It is not recommended if you want higher screen resolution or size.

It has very rich set of hardware specifications, Processor giving unbeatable performance with Hyper Threading Technology.

PROCESSOR: 1.6 GHz Intel atom Dual core (No need of quad core unless you are a high end gamer)

RAM: 2GB (Both 8GB and 16GB versions have same 2 GB RAM).

INTERNAL STORAGE: 8GB

EXPANDABLE STORAGE: up to 64GB (MicroSD).

Camera:

The camera quality is pretty good with tons of options.

Rear Camera: 8 Mega Pixel with Flash support

It supports FULL HD (1920x1080P) video recording with white balance, Exposure value, Video quality (TV, HD, 2M and FULL HD) and video stabilization.

Other features are also interesting like Smart Brightness, Guidelines, Review Duration Settings, Shutter Animation, Camera sound on/off, Location Services, Anti Flicker (50Hz/60Hz), Power Saving mode and Save to MIcro SD card options.

It has many more other features, so that I said it has tons of options in settings, more than like a point and shoot camera. Sample pictures taken from this mobile in HDR Mode.

Conclusion: It is definitely the best choice. You can compare this camera with higher priced mobiles.

User Interface and Connectivity

Asus custom user interface called ZENUI gives you a high range of satisfaction. You almost addict to this mobile if you are good social and an internet user, with this multitasking user interface.

Connectivity : It supports all most all wireless technologies like GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, FM, Meeracast, Mobile Data Connect (2G or 3G) and USB Connectivity.

Note: Only one SIM can connect to 3G at a time and other in 2G mode. You can switch 2G and 3G between those two sims.

Asus Zenfone 5 is now supporting OTG Connectivity from recent updates.

I connected 16 GB pendrive, 1TB External Hard Disk(External power is required, my transcend drive already have extra cable attached to it), Mouse and Keyborad. Everything working fine.

Conclusion: Overall, it is an excellent buy. It has OTG support also, so it is unbeatable in the complete connectivity.

AUDIO/VIDEO

It can play all types of resolutions up to FULL HD. It is excellent in playing of videos till FULL HD (1920x1080) Pixels. I tried in VLC and MX players.

The audio quality is pretty decent. But Loud Speaker is not so loud, it is enough for noise less room. If you are a headset lover to hear the music, it would be a great festival to you. It has decent call quality and excellent audio recording facility. So don't worry about the audio system. Keep aside all your fears.

Conclusion: Loudspeaker volume should be higher, If you don't want a loud speaker much, proceed blindly.

Battery Life:

It has 2110 mAH Lithium non removable battery.

I've heard many complaints on battery. But I am getting 7-8 hours of continuous Wi-Fi usage with a single charge. Based on the game types it is giving 3 to 6 hours at a stretch. One complete day for just Normal calls and music for few hours. Battery is draining faster in 3G mode.

But finally it has pretty decent battery life in this price range.

How to Recover Deleted Files with Free Software

You intentionally or accidentally deleted your files from your Hard Disk. It would be good, if those files were available in Recycle Bin and you can go for quick restoration. Sometimes we permanently delete the files from disk by pressing SHIFT+DEL or by emptying the Recycle Bin.

Badly, you need those files after some time. So what to do? Don't worry, still we have a chance to get them back.

What is happening in the Deletion process?
When you delete any file or movie from hard disk, your operating system will just mark that space as available for further writing. So when you want to save a new file or a new movie, the Operaing System may save that new file in the previously marked space or in a new space. You're lucky if it is in free space, your chances of getting that data are poor when it overwrites in the marked space with your new file.

Don't panic, take a long breath and try this procedure without worrying.

Step 1: Download a free software called Recuva and Start installation process.

Step 2: During the installation process, you will find a screen with install options. Make sure to keep tick mark on the third checkbox. And click on Install button as shown in below figure.

Step 3: Your installation process will finish in a moment and you will get a new welcome screen. Just click on Next button.

Step 4: The next window comes with a list of possible file recovery options. Make sure "All Files" radio button is active.

Step 5: Select the file location, where you deleted your files. If you don't know, keep the default option as usual, such as "I'm not sure" and proceed with "Next" button.

Step 6: Click on "Start" in next screen to start the scanning process. That's it. You're done! All your files were back.

Note: You can Right click and select "Scan for Deleted Files" option on any folder or drive.

How to Show or Hide Recycle Bin.

STEP 1: Right click on desktop and select "Personalize" option from the menu.

STEP 2: In the personalization window, find "Change Desktop Icons" at top left side and click that option.

STEP 3: You will get a new popup window titled "Desktop Icon Settings" with many Check Boxes.

STEP 4: There are Five Desktop Icons with their check boxes are available in that window. See the tick mark in the above picture for clear understanding. Just enable the check box to display that icon on the desktop and disable the box to hide from display on desktop.

We are very familiar with VLC Media Player, now a days each and every system has this player due to its wide range of killer features like Simplicity, Free and Open source, Streaming online videos, Conversion of video formats, rotating videos from different angles, and many more. VLC has many killer features which are not available in most of the players, this tutorial gives you a wonderful feature that VLC player has. We know that we can increase the volume to 200% in this player, but we can also zoom the video while playing.

Step 1: Open a video that you would like to watch in VLC Media Player.

Step 2: While playing, press CTRL+E on the keyboard to open Adjustments and Effects or you can also open by clicking on the extended settings button at the bottom left side of the screen.

Step 3: Go to Adjustments and Effects --> Video Effects --> Geometry.

Step 4: Click on Interactive Zoom Check box.

A solid filled circle: This problem generally appears when you buy a new battery for your system. Really you can feel free and relax if you are facing this problem. Do small change in the “More Power Options” can resolve the issue. Let us see how to do this.

No battery in the system or Change to New Battery or Does not Fix Well in the battery slot. Finally it’s an indication for the replacement of the battery. But any way let’s try this procedure, Shut your computer completely and remove the Battery from the slot and directly start on AC power, after that shut down again, re insert the battery and start your system. Save Web Pages as PDF Documents in Google Chrome

We generally need to take some print outs while booking online tickets, online application forms or E- Mails from our inbox or any WEB PAGES, but the printers are always not available for printing those required pages. So we save those pages as html files or copy the text into word documents and could carry in pen drives/flash memories for taking the prints.

During the copying process the format might be changed and not properly arranged, so here is a simple solution to save those documents directly to the PDF (Portable Document Format) with out changing the structure or format of the printable document and we can carry in the pen drives for prints.

Google chrome is providing this facility with free of cost and some easy steps might require to do this. Here i am taking E-Mail page as an example.

1. Select the page you want to take print.

2. Print that document (press CTRL+P) on key board or press the PRINT from the menu bar.

3. A new window will appear on the screen for printing the document. Just change the "destination" as PDF

4. Save the document and carry it in any flash drive or store the document in your mail or Drop box or
Google drive or any free cloud storage services.

Firefox and Chrome Split Screen

How to split one screen into multiple in Chrome and Firefox?

In our previous post we explained how to use Internet Explorer in a Chrome. It is very flexible to work if we divide the screen into multiple sub screens. So let us do the process by adding an extension to the chrome called Split Screen.

We generally used to do copy paste of some stuff from one window to another window or writing some thing by using multiple windows, at that time it is really help ful to use. All we have to do is add this extension to chrome.

A new icon will appear on top right side of the chrome. If you click on that icon as shown in below figure, the screen will be partitioned in to two.

This option is also available in Mozilla Firefox (It's works really good in Firefox than chrome) as split panel. After installing this add-on, Firefox will restart and split panel will works fine. All you have to do is right click on any part of the screen and select split with any of the sub menu options like left, bottom and right.
