If you think quality content and articles are the only means of creating more traffic and customers, you are greatly mistaken and you need new outlook in SEO. In the world of search engine optimization, articles are just containers which should be considered as vessels for success.
Articles are of great importance to optimizing your website and company. However, put in mind that the searchers- your potential customers, does not type an entire article into the search box. Instead, they type keywords which they expect to turn out the sites which they want to see. In short, though your article can be hailed for a “Pulitzer Prize”, if it doesn’t contain any useful keyword, it’s still useless in the online world.
Keywords are the main ingredient in the success of a website. It is through these keywords by which webmasters anticipate every move of their customers. By choosing the right keywords and incorporating them into your article, you can expect dramatic increase in traffic to your site. But how can we make keywords that count?
First off, get the right domain name. The public will relate your company or your business to what your site name is. Now your articles or content should be filled with keywords related to what your company is offering. In this way, people reading your articles will have a strong sense of relevance to their needs. Do not forget to include the main purpose of your company. So if your company offers real estate services, explicitly state that in your articles.
Study the actions done by your competitors. Simply visit their page and study the keywords which they usually include in their contents and make use of it, too. In looking for competitors, be sure that you are choosing the one which performs the best in terms of ranking because doing what they’re doing might lead you to where they are right now.
Do a popularity check. Companies use several keywords and some of them might not work at all. If you fail to check the keywords you use, chances are, your company might not work out well. There are websites out there where you can check the popularity of the keywords they use.
Also, assigning different keywords for every page of your site is advisable. You have to remember that the competition is not against every website- it’s every page of your site that counts. The more keywords you include in a page, the more chances your pages would be given a higher rank in that certain keyword.
Lastly, although keywords should be the main focus in your article and contents, make sure that the articles you posts are making sense. Making senseless articles with deceitful keywords would make your site a black hat and doing so might jeopardize your site at large.
Keywords play a very vital role in the success of a website because these keywords bring your customer into your site, introducing them to your company’s services and products. The best method in creating useful keywords is thinking like your customer- if you are a customer, what keywords would you usually insert into the search box? After doing a critical analysis, you know the next thing to do.

Why is it that web writers do not get tired making contents? Notice that every time optimizing becomes the topic, contents never fails to be part of the conversation. The pure logic behind this is that the article you post in your site is the prime mover of traffic. In simpler terms, contents either make or break your site.
Making contents is an integral part of bringing your website into the top list of any search engine. This happens because contents carry the keywords which your customers type into the boxes.
How do we make contents that count? Since news spreads faster than the speed of light, the first strategy should be breaking the news. Breaking the news however requires the perfect topic and timing, of course. In choosing the right topic, what we should consider is the hotness of the topic, the chances that readers like bloggers and web writers would bite it. Making a catchy content is a big advantage since it makes your site well-linked and popular.
When is the right timing? Since most web writers also have their jobs aside from earning through the web, posting your contents during busy days such as weekdays might lessen the chances for users to bite your post. Full time web writers are exempted from this idea but there is a great chance for your content to be well-read and bitten if you post it on a Friday night or on a weekend.
Also, consider the lifespan of your post. Don’t invest on a content which has a very short lifespan of only a week or so. Try thinking of contents which can last for like months or couple of months. With this, the amount of traffic in your site does not peak only in a short period of time. This is a good way of maintaining traffic.
Another thing to consider is to overlap contents. You may do overlapping by posting new and hot contents while your previous content is still hot. People have the tendency to appreciate the work of a person who has just established a name. However, this requires perfect timing since when the attention of the public is diverted into a less exciting medium, chances are, they’ll look for another site with a better topic.
Being active is a good way for you to make your name and make it known to many content writers. By actively joining in message boards or thread forums, people would get to know you more. Being consistent with your username, however, is a must because being active would be nonsense if you have hundreds of pseudonyms.
Sales-talking is also important; however doing it at such an early stage is not a good strategy. You first need to develop and establish a name and let people think of you as an authority and knowledgeable person rather than a person who posts only to make money and sound desperate.
Being popular in the web is not an overnight process- it requires hard work and most of all, patience. Aside from being patient, smart thinking and a keen sense of what is right is a must.

The most common goal of website owner or writer is to make it to Google’s top search results. Since Google holds an estimated fifty to eighty percent of all internet users compared to other search engines, its top-search results is highly anticipated by many.
Making it on any search engine result is already a good indicator that your website is doing well against many competitors. However, it doesn’t end there, you need to maintain it, if not, strategize to move all the way on top.
Making it on the search result alone is already a hard task but with the help of several tips especially in Search Engine Optimization, your website or your company is just a few steps away from making it to the highly desired yet elusive Google search result top spot.
First, you have to think like a web surfer. If you are a customer looking for something, what keyword will you type in the search box? When you find the right words, make some quality article and contents using those keywords. When these articles are posted, this will build-up traffic and attract potential customers rather than ordinary page visitors.
Another strategy is going deeper into your company’s specifics and details. Putting in broad keywords is also helpful but in some cases, when customers are really into specifics such as your company’s specialization, location and products, giving out details is a big edge. If you cater to Diesel Parts, it will be wise to build up contents on the keyword “Diesel Parts”. Now it’s more targeted than “Auto Parts”.
The site’s creation and structure also determines how the search engine “crawl” your site. If you are a person who does not understand HTML, it is advisable to seek the help of an expert in making your site easily crawled and indexed by search engines. One misconception is that some web writers think that their sites are detected by search engines as a whole when actually the pages are ranked and detected per page and not per site. In this case, one suggestion would be submitting the pages to search engines like Google as individual pages.
Media hype is also a good strategy in building up your site. In fact, even without the help of SEO, your site can be visited by good traffic if the publicity of your site is great. However, chances become bigger with the combination of both. So why not try using both techniques?
Good publicity means that the public is made aware of your site’s existence- making more surfers visit your site out of their need for more information. This can be achieved through submitting specialized articles containing your website’s URL to publishers of online magazines, newspapers and the like.
Creating traffic for your website is not an easy task. Your eagerness and patience to place your site into Google’s top search results can go a long way. Relying in just a single strategy is already “phased-out” nowadays; combining techniques will bring you to Google’s number one slot in no time.
