Innovation never has an end. While there are many devices and sensors are being taken into research for gesture recognition technology, a group of people from the University of Washington have used a technology that most of us already use in our homes to make a Whole-Home Gesture Recognition system. The technology is nothing other than WiFi.

The WiFi Signals are disturbed by human movements. And for several movements the disturbance pattern can be found uniform always. The WiSee technology is based on recognizing these different disturbances for our gesture, to do something which we intend to do. This lets you be anywhere in your home and promises to respond your gesture, provided you are within the WiFi range of your home network.

This could serve you in a lot of scenarios wherein you want to control something in your home from where you are.You can control the music system, Turn of the TV from bedroom , even though you forgot to do, control lights and what so ever. This technology doesn’t require any change in the current WiFi standards, which means that you could use your current WiFi to establish the gesture controls.

The team that innovated this, claims that their prototype of WiSee that they tested could recognize a set of 9 different gestures with an average accuracy rate of 94%, which is great for a prototype phase. The project page hosted on the university, provides a link to the paper on this technology.

A video on the demonstration of this technology must give you a better understanding of it…

I cant wait for the commercialization of this technology. What is your view on it???

The recent Mobile World Congress acted as a preview for a number of new smartphones; among these were the …

The recent Mobile World Congress acted as a preview for a number of new smartphones; among these were the new Motorola RAZR HD, as well more unusual smartphones like the CAT B15 and the ASUS PadFone Infinity. The show also provided some insight into the future launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, as well as previews of some of the best new phones from Huawei, ZTE, and Nokia, which range from high end ‘phablets’ to entry level smartphones for emerging markets.

RAZR HD

While Motorola are already enjoying success with the RAZR i in the UK, the RAZR HD represents a more powerful addition to the manufacturer’s lineup – a 4.7 inch screen is combined with Android Jelly Bean, and 4G connectivity; the HD’s screen boasts a 1280 x 720 resolution, and a 1.5 GHz processor, as well as Kevlar and Gorilla Glass backing.

CAT B15

One of the more unusual smartphones at the show, the CAT B15 is designed by the truck and vehicle manufacturers, and while it’s not going to win any awards for style, it’s one of the most durable phones available. The CAT B15 is waterproof and dustproof, and can apparently be dropped from a height of 1.8m without the phone causing damage.

Huawei Ascend P2

A Chinese phone that features superfast 4G as the result of an LTE Cat 4 modem, the Huawei Ascend P2 claims download speeds of 150 Mbps; the phone’s powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, and has a 4.7 inch HD screen, as well as a 13.1 megapixel camera, putting it into the premium category for new smartphones.

LG Optimus L7 II

This new LG features a 4.3 inch screen and Android Jelly Bean, and is at the lower end of the smartphone market for 2013 – the LCD screen has a setting of 480 x 700 pixels, while the phone has an 8 MP camera, as well as a VGA front facing camera. The 1 GHz processor is dual core, and LG are hoping that the smartphone will be a sound entry level choice for new buyers.

ZTE Grand Memo

While it’s unclear whether or not this ZTE smartphone will get a full release outside of China, its specs are certainly impressive – a 5.7 inch 720p HD, a quad core Snapdragon processor, and a 13 megapixel camera make it one of the most powerful phablets in the world. The processor speed means that the phone will be able to handle 3D effects, as well as 4G LTE.

Nokia Lumia 720

Although not expected to have 4G, the Nokia Lumia 720 is another promising entry to mid range phone, and comes with a 6.7 megapixel camera and an impressive battery life. Nokia are hoping that battery life, and a wide angle lens for their camera, as well as Windows Phone 8 as an OS, will make the Lumia 720 an attractive budget buy.

LG Optimus G Pro

This smartphone has a 5.5 inch 1080p display, as well as a QSlide multitasking app, a quad core Snapdragon 600 processor, and a powerful 3,140 mAH battery. The LG Optimus G Pro can also be used as a remote using the QRemote app, and weighs just 6.2 ounces.

ASUS PadFone Infinity

A combination smartphone and tablet, the 5.5 inch screen quad core phone part can be attached into a 10.1 tablet station – the result, 2GB of RAM, and the flexibility of a 1080p display on a larger device.

ZTE Open

Another phone from China, this ZTE smartphone is intended as a budget option, and features a 3.5 inch screen, just 256 MB of RAM, and a 800 MHz CPU – the ZTE Open also comes with Firefox’s open source OS, and a 3.2 MP fixed camera, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, and an FM radio.

Samsung Galaxy S4

While not officially launched during the show, the S4 was teased via the announcement of a March 14th release date – we now know, the S4 has an eight core Exynos 5 processor, a 5 inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution, and the option to control the screen by hovering your hand above it.

From iPads and iPhones to food processors and homemade ice cream machines, people absolutely love their gadgets. However, all of these items can get quite pricey, so savvy shoppers want to make sure they are making good investments. What are some smart tips to follow when purchasing a new gadget?

Set a Budget
As with most items, it’s easy to fall in love with something only to find out it is too expensive. To avoid doing that, set a specific budget for your new camera or electric can opener. Ask store associates to show you items that fall under that amount, or look online and browse only ones that are within budget.

Try Them Out
When you’re purchasing a new phone or an expensive e-reader, it’s always a good idea to test out the product first. You’re spending a lot of money, so you want to be sure that you like it. Ask a friend if you can use his or hers for a few minutes or hours to get a feel for it. Most electronics stores will allow you to test out a few of the devices in the shop. This is the best way to try a number of them.

Consider Space
Do you really have enough room to fit a copy machine in your house? Will the new computer have enough space in the corner of your office? Be certain to buy something that is practical for the space it will occupy. Of course, many gadgets, such as iPhones, small kitchen utensils and the like, do not really have a space requirement.

Consider Function
No matter the size of the item that you’re purchasing, you need to consider if it is really a worthwhile investment. Students should check with teachers before buying e-readers as the teachers might require students to use old fashioned books for a variety of reasons. They should also find out if they are allowed to take notes on laptops in school. Many schools won’t permit it because students can easily access social media sites or other websites when they are supposed to be working. Think about how much use you’ll get out of it too. If you never have any desire to take videos, is it worth it to buy a camera that has that function? If you don’t like to text, wouldn’t it be better to simply stick with a basic phone model?

Warranties
Before walking away with your new expensive piece of equipment, ask if a warranty is included. You don’t want the gadget to break as soon as you get home. In the unfortunate case that it does, you want to be sure that the store will cover the cost of any repairs. Be sure to read through the terms thoroughly before you leave. Furthermore, never underestimate the power of good home insurance on all your valuables!!! This way you can protect things even years down the road, after your warranty is up.

Buying a new gadget is fun and exciting because you have something to show for it once you leave the store. Just be certain to make a smart investment by purchasing something in your budget that you will actually use. Just always be sure to invest in quality insurance on ALL of your gadgets, so you’re not left wanting if anything negative ever befalls you!

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, today at the press meet at Menlo Park campus of the company, revealed the …

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, today at the press meet at Menlo Park campus of the company, revealed the most hyped Facebook Home, which the rumors regarded as the Facebook Phone. If you were lucky you would have seen the live coverage of the event was featured in our blog.

Mark Zuckerberg in his address said that today’s smartphones are built around apps and the new Facebook Home will put people first over apps. The Home will turn your Android phone into a social phone to deliver you a better social networking experience.

The Facebook Home was unveiled on a HTCs new phone called HTC First, which comes pre-loaded with the Home. The phone is also the launch partner for the new feature from Facebook for Android. The HTC First will be available starting from April 12th from AT&T at a price of $99.99 in a contract for two years.

The Facebook Home is also available for other Android devices and it will be available for download from the Play store Starting from 12th of this month.According to the CEO, the Home app from Play Store at launch is optimised for HTC’s One , One X and Samsung’s Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4 and Note II.Support for more devices will be rolled out soon.

What is it special on Facebook Home?

As the name of the product indicates, it aims at delivering you all your social feeds right on the homescreen which the company calls as Cover feed. On the cover feed one can read updates, view uploaded photos and all such social activities of friends. You can also get notified right on your home screen. To keep it neat for the updates you would be seeing your friend’s cover photo as back ground. You would be able to Like it with a double tap or just write down a comment inline as=nd everything is as simple as that.

Another noticeable feature in the Home is the Chatheads. In situations that you are using an app and a message pops from your friend on the notificatios and you are forced to ignore it as you want to use the app, or you want to use an app as you are chatting with your friend side by side, Chatheads feture from Home comes handy.Where ever you are on your phone ,literally, when a message pops from your friend on the right edge of your screen you could see a bubble with your friend’s profile picture and a unread message count , clicking which you could reply inline over the app activity that you are using without destroying that activity or closing the app. When you are done just swipe to close inline replies to continue using the app.And the best part is Chatheads also work with SMS as the Home app is integrated with Android.

It is said that it will be a custom modified Android ROM by Facebook which would run on HTC Myst and recently there had been leaks through APK rips to which access was limited only to Facebook employees. It is expected that the Facebook’s version of android will be first run on an HTC phone and other Android phones will be getting a separate App that can be downloaded from Play Store.

Facebook has got attention of media on it by its announcement of something promising to be cool. Facebook is largely used on smartphones as people could share what they want to share with their friends from where ever they are.Being this the case Facebook’s move towards some better promising features for smartphones is a great idea to keep its position from the competitors.

Let the rumors be apart. Let us hear from Facebook what it has really got for us. The event is scheduled at 10 AM PST (Pacific time). The count down below should tell you what time it is for you.
Ever since the great J.C. Penney spam scandal hit and the stories of black hat SEO entered the mainstream …

Ever since the great J.C. Penney spam scandal hit and the stories of black hat SEO entered the mainstream Google has become increasingly intolerant with almost any type of link spam shenanigans and tougher overall on grey hat SEO. Panda and Penguin, the two monikers that Optimizers began to dread hit poor quality links and shabby, keyword stuffed content really hard and the entire SEO strategy had to be revised around them. The rules might have seemed arbitrary to a lot of innocent siteowners and admins who, either through their choice of SEO specialists, innocent mistakes or following the word of the Internet got hit with some of the restrictions but people working in the field know very well that the changes were necessary. Yet what should you do if you’ve been hit but you want to fix your Google problem?

The first think that you should do is make generous use of the Google-provided disavow tool. The disavow tool lets Admins remove links from spammy sites that are bringing your overall rating down. Say you’ve invested a while back in some disadvantageous affiliate management and the links from affiliate sites are not that great. The disavow tool is a quick and easy way to make sure that those links can be stripped of their effects towards you fast and easy. Of course, sometimes the disavow tool is an extremely bad choice. If it is not the linking sites that are reducing your rating it might be the links themselves. Certain words or phrases, certain text locations and a host of other factors like, for instance your site not producing enough content or faulty Internal SEO. What is the solution in these cases? Often the culprit is a lot of involuntary keyword spam (a certain linked keyword linked across several articles like a link back to a blog), and modifications. Experiment with various keyword arrangements on the host site (if you can) and make sure that there is no overt link cluster anywhere.

If links are your problem you can contact the administrators of other sites and ask them to fix it for you, just dropping them the link and text modifications. Yet more often than not, there is something more wrong with your site.

Google doesn’t launch a manual penalty lightly. After all, links are their lifeblood too. If Google found the time to hit your site you should probably rethink your mass appeal strategies. Create better content, stick to your post schedule and grow your social network presence (which is apparently also important in ranking) especially on G+ and Twitter. Remember that the problem almost always is a host of bad links or poor and infrequent posting. So use Google’s webmaster tools sparingly and discipline yourself to post more exciting stuff and build an audience. Then e-mail Google to reverse your penalty. You might be surprised how fast that works.

Every company want their product to be sold at a high rate and should conquer all over the world …

Every company want their product to be sold at a high rate and should conquer all over the world in their specific arena. The main thing I found needed to be done for boosting the sales of any kind of product is to improve the marketing procedure. A few years back, when internet was not so popular, the marketing and advertising had been done by individuals. But today is the era of internet marketing. The internet generation prefers to ‘Google’ every product for information regarding it before they buy it. I find this concept very much booming these days because the profit percentage is far better at it. But wait, before proceeding I need to tell you about this Affiliate Marketing.

According to me in simple words Affiliate Marketing is the marketing which allows me to post the link of any product or service’s special link on my blog or website and if any visitor purchases that product using the link from my website then I’ll get a small percentage of profit from the seller of that product or service.

Now isn’t that a better way to get some profit without much hassle and just sitting at your home! Moreover the profit is for both me as an affiliate and company. Basically what I’m doing as an affiliate is jut promoting a product by taking advantage of my website’s traffic and good reputation and frequency of popping up over the internet.

But I need you to know this. No matter how I’m promoting the product, that product should be of good quality so the visitor should come back again for more purchase. If the quality is not so good or up to the mark then not only the company but my website also has to face some problems in losing popularity!

How to get Associated with an Affiliate Program:

I find this discussion very much important as without getting any affiliate product I can’t race on this track for profit. To find an affiliate program or product it is necessary to get some research done. First of all I need to be sure that which product I’m going to promote and after it I need to find an affiliate program associate with that.I also find Google very helpful in suggesting some of the latest trendy products which are in demand to affiliate and as we all know if I’ve Google it then there is no point of discussion left.

One more way is just like as using an intermediate website to get a deal. That intermediate website will charge some amount of money but will surely get a perfect deal and I don’t mind paying some bucks for that. Do you?

If nothing happens in your favor even after all above then I’ve two tips for you now mentioned below.

Check out online stores which are big fish in the market in selling online product, I tell you these websites always look for options to improve their sales and you and I could be assets for them.

One last way which I find a little difficult is going through the blogs and websites of the same niche as that of mine and then getting hint form them that which type of product I should promote using my website.

How to Increase Product Promotion

Now, once I’ve got all the affiliate product, service and good commission rate than the question arises that how do I suppose to promote it? I find many ways when I did research on that promoting topic and what I all get, I’m sharing with you below.

The most effective and genuine way to lure visitors who are visiting my website to purchase any product is to show them as advertisement of that product.I can put an ad banner next to the article or below the address bar or anywhere else where that add could be very much visible.

Using my Facebook, Twitter and other social networking accounts to promote my blog is surely a good way. As more the visitors to my blog more the purchase will be done.

I can also provide information about what I’m promoting on my website by writing articles and publishing them in online forums and other article optimized websites.

Ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and buzzle.com could be good options for anyone.

I find people more interested in something when they are watching videos of that particular product or service. I can also make a video about the product I’m promoting and then can use YouTube to make me popular as it did to Justin Bieber.

Now, I’m damn sure that you know very much about the Affiliate Marketing and you can start promoting a product on your own blog or website. Best of Luck folks.

Twitter says that this way you can tweet more information. The vovels in URLs will not cost you and non-latin characters are not affected by this service, which means you could tweet without restriction in chinese, japanese and what so ever.Try to check tweeting the new Twttr style in the box at link below.

Facebook pages are today growing more than the user profiles.A single person administrates more than a page on Facebook. It is a medium where contents usually go Viral.

Today while updating the the blog’s Facebook page, I found that the timeline did not update with the content posted.I thought it would be due to some network error.Posts show up on the news stream though. But the timeline still remains without getting updated.

I later recognized it wasn’t just me who encountered the problem.Almost all page administrators have encountered the same problem and the Facebook seems to have a bug.Being this 1st of April, our mind refuses to take anything serious. Maybe this is just to prank the page owners on Facebook. It may also be a real bug, whatever.

The Facebook help center already has questions regarding this issue. If it is to prank users, why does Facebook want to target pages, instead targeting all users would fool all common users rather than just page owners. To know if it is a Prank or a Bug, let us wait till Facebook discloses something about the issue.

Update: The issue is solved now and it seems to be a Bug.

Google though present the search results in a pleasing way, feels they missed something. An engineer at google finds when he tales his dog for a walk that she understands the world by sniffing the smell. This is what made google to introduce Google Nose beta.Search for nay item in Google nose and the smell will be transmitted. All you need to do is come close to your Monitor and Sniff!!

Yes,it is an April fool prank.Sorry if you believed it is real. May be you should wait years to get such search tool.An engineer explains hoe the smell is produced.

He says, “Googles aroma indexing program has indexed 50 million scentibytes of smells.By intersecting photons with infrasound waves google is able to realign molecules to a particular pattern to emulate the smell”
