Toshiba will come with the World's Thinnest Tablet which is codenamed Toshiba Excite. Toshiba Exite Tablet is probably already ready to be released in January 2012. Already this tablet was exposed at IFA 2011 last september along with Toshiba AT200. Now, an official Announcement come early from Toshiba website about Toshiba Excite release date.But the website Mobile Syrup in his report declared that the new tablet Toshiba Excite will be released one month later in February 2012. Glass Keyboard and Mouse with Multitouch functionality

Jason Giddings, an inventor and engineer, introduced an amazing concept of Multitouch Keyboard and mouse which is purely made of Glass and Metal. Using the same technology as biometric systems that capture finger prints, Jason has created a Keyboard and mouse with multi-touch functionality that is been put up on Kick-starter. These multi-touch peripherals have no moving parts and they are rechargeable Lithium batteries and completely wireless.

The technology used here is "FTIR(Frustrated Total Internal Reflection)".It is a touch screen technology which uses a series of LEDs at the bottom edge of each device to make infrared light bounce inside the thick panels of glass. When our fingers make contact with the glass, it frustrates the internal reflection redirecting the IR light downwards. There it is captured by a simple camera which is placed at the base. Then the images captured by camera are processed to determine where the fingers have made contact.

This device runs on open source software. It means any developer can potentially manipulate it beyond the functionality of other multi-touch devices. A user can push the number tab off the keyboard to dedicate that area for some other things like music mixing or video editing. This will maximize the functionality of the Keyboard and mouse.

And you need not worry about the minor accidents such as coffee spills and doughnut on the peripherals because they are designed to be resistant to such accidents. The aounds can be turned on or off as per user's choice.

The e-paper takes heat to transfer images & text to the surface and that data can be erased by inserting the paper into a thermal writing device like Fax machine.The researchers are using a modified printer to erase the paper by rolling it backwards. The main property of the e-paper is that it has a plastic film covered with a cholestric liquid crystal.

This device does not need a backlight to print and it can produce different colors. It can be reused upto 260 times. The developers say that this i2R e-paper is a good replacement for paper signs and posters,notebooks or bulletin boards.

HTC 's Interface to connect with India in Hindi

HTC is making a serious attempt to assure their Indian customers that they are taken seriously and they have plans to introduce Hindi user interface in a few months from now. Darren Sng, senior director of product marketing in Asia at HTC said that, by December , HTC will launch a Hindi user interface for their smart phones running on Android and after that we would be launching patches for some other Indian languages like Bengali, Oriya,Tamil etc.

When we launch the Hindi update patch, users will able to download it through the company's via a computer. After downloading the Hindi patch users are able to surf the menu and also type messages in Hindi using Hindi keyword.

This is one of the great thing done by HTC to connect with consumers because Google's Android 2.2 currently supports only the Chinese and European languages, there is no Hindi version of the OS even through Android is one of the most popular smart phone OS in India. Hindi is one of the most commonly spoken language in the world. Android and other smart phone operating systems don't have a version of it. Although there are feature phone operating systems in Hindi from both MNC and Indian brands, the problem is that the letters on the keyboard are usually in English.

Pioneer Launches New Blu-ray Home Cinema Systems

Pioneer has reveled four new Blu-ray home cinema systems to beef up your movie watching audio. This new home cinema system come with 'basic and 'regular' flavors, with all four main systems including up to 1100-watt power output, with a de facto 5.1 speaker setup.

Placecast's Shop Alerts service, which delivers retailer and commercial offers and discounts to consumers via their mobile phones, is announcing new functionality today - integration with mobile smartphone apps.

As we have written in the past, Shop Alerts is a white-mark geofencing platform for business that want to deliver geo-triggered offers to their customers on their mobile phones. Consumers can opt-in to receiving text-message in many ways such as at a store, online, mobile websites, via text messages or on facebook. Geofences are virtual areas set around physical locations. When an opted-in consumer is inside a geofenced area, she receives a message from a business, including a discount, notice of a sale, directions to a store or other content.

By using the new feature , retailers deploying mobile apps can allow consumers to receive a location based messages from the retailer's nearest store or other relevant location, with out the app being open just as ShopAlerts programs work on any phone, this latest feature works on any smartphone platform. After a retailer integrates with Shop Alerts, customers(who are opted into receiving alerts) will receive location based push notifications.
