The telecommunications testing LTE, mobile technology, multiply the speed of Internet access

In recent years, the advancement of 3G technology has meant that the
speed of Internet access from a mobile terminal has exceeded the 7.2
megabits per second (Mbps).
This was unthinkable a decade ago, although the theoretical limit of
this technology is at the 30 Mbps. Now the same could overflow if
successful a set of technologies grouped under the heading 4G.
The characteristics of this future protocol, as mentioned previously,
are a permanent 4G connection wether it be a video call or an IP voice
conversation.

International telecommunications bodies have not yet approved the 4G
standard, but we know that the fourth generation networks in mobile
telephony will be qualified to pass a series of technological
challenges, such as transferring data to more than one gigabyte per
second and even , 100 Mbps if the receiver is moving at a speed
exceeding 60 km / h.
In the U.S., some operators already offer contracts based on 4G cities,
and in Spain, the leading provider of mobile phone access have already announced the first pilot tests in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia .

These networks, whose antennas will have a different configuration to
that of third generation networks, should be based on IP protocol in
order to encourage the development of services such as high definition
video on demand, instant multimedia messaging and video calling .

 LTE, the candidate

4G technology will promote the creation of services such as high
definition video on demand, instant multimedia messaging and video
calling

So far, it has not chosen any system to be crowned as 4G standard,
although the main candidate is LTE ("Long Term Evolution"), a set of
technologies designed to make all communications in a wireless network
protocol arise through IP is used on the Internet.

This would imply that all traffic from the telephone network would
consist of data, compared to the current system, which comprises two
distinct channels: for voice and data. In the future, telecom operators will offer the first service using Voice over IP . This will allow the marketing offers based on flat rates for mobile voice.

In Spain, the leading provider of mobile phone access have announced pilots in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

While still in testing phase, the mobile LTE ratios has achieved download speeds of 326 Mbps data and 82 Mbps upstream.
In addition, the latency period (time it takes from a packet of
information is sent until it reaches its destination) is much lower than
the average achieved with an ADSL connection.

About a hundred of telecom operators worldwide are currently conducting
tests to make their communications networks have this technology in the
coming years. Thus, if it imposed between the main operators, users do not need to change terminal when traveling to other continents. Now, countries like China, India or the United States, operate with different networking standards to those of Europe.
Faced with the LTE technology is WiMax , which despite their location can be more quickly and economically, have ruled many handset manufacturers and operators. The reason is that LTE can deliver greater bandwidth and range up to 100 miles, compared with 50 miles of WiMax technology. This system will provide coverage for mobile broadband services in rural areas.

 4G in the world

In Europe, the commercialization of this technology comes on the heels of the division of licensing spectrum after a redefinition of the current, following the digital switchover television.

Nokia, Motorola, LG, Alcatel and Samsung are among manufacturers that have chosen this technology

Unlike the rest of Europe, UK and France 4G networks will be deployed in the band of 800 MHz, instead of in the band of 2.6 GHz, for reasons of costs, since the 800 Mhz need fewer antennas.
In Spain, although this band is currently occupied by DTT and not be
free until 2015 under the so called "digital dividend", these
frequencies have been auctioned, and surely will be used for the
deployment of LTE.
Nokia, Motorola, LG, Nortel, Alcatel and Samsung are among manufacturers that have invested in this technology. It is expected that the first devices on the market in 2012, but will be data connection cards and USB modems.
Will be designed to reach speeds up to 100 Mbps According to the
consultancy ABI Research, in 2013 the market will be counted more than
30 million phones based on 4G.

The number of applications available in store for the Android Market is growing exponentially, and currently reaches nearly 250,000 a figure which is lower than that offered in the Apple App Store which is around half a million. The problem with having a huge amount of apps is its hard to find the right application thats compatible and can be used on a standard level across different websites or import/recognize different types of formats. This article aims to narrow the search and recommend the top ten applications.

43% of the time spent by American Android users is monopolized by ten apps, according to Nielsen. The remaining is dominated by 50 others of various kinds. Although the consultant does not indicate what these stellar applications are, it is easy to assume that it's installed by default on the phone as Google Maps or YouTube, and other highly successful smartphone software, along with popular games such as Angry Birds.
Android Market customers can find alternatives better than the official facebook app. However, few users know that there are interesting alternatives to the most popular programs and services that can even mean better results. Sometimes, the most popular is not the best, but the simplest or most widely promoted by business interests. The following are recommended applications based on their utility, rather than popularity.

SwiftKey is an application for Android devices such as mobile phones and tablets, to replace the touchpad for a version with more functionality and features such as predictive text, which allows you to write more efficiently and quickly. Its mobile phone version will cost 2.78 euros.

Another alternative to the official implementation of Android is K-9 Mail , a free email client that lets you customize and sync folders, will notify you when you have an incoming email.

Regarding web browsers, Skyfire is one of the most used due to its ability to play videos in flash technology and has user experience similar to that of a desktop browser.

Social networking site Facebook has an official app for Android devices that supports much of the functionality of the standard version of this network.

However, Android Market customers can find alternatives to the official Facebook, with lots of features and benefits. Amongst them FriendCaster , which also has versions for Android-based tablets and IPAD.

 The SwiftKey

As for music, it is advisable to use TuneWiki , a player with social networking features allowing you to discover new music by the likes of other users and the different lists of recommendations. This player not only allows free play of the music stored in internal memory, but you can also access online radio and music on demand systems. It is compatible with platforms such as Last.fm. It is also able to find and synchronize the lyrics of the songs that are playing.

Nimbuzz is a free instant messaging application, compatible with the messaging systems used by most users, like Yahoo IM, AIM, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Facebook Chat and others. It also allows free calls between Nimbuzz users and is compatible with the SIP standard calls for voice over IP .

Press News is an application to read news and content. It includes dozens of features such as the option to import RSS feeds from other platforms such as Google Reader , access the most read stories or customize categories. Press News has a highly visual graphical environment, based on images and titles, which makes it very attractive for devices with large screens or in its version for Android-based tablets. However, lower to middle range Android devices have problems utilizing the GUI due to the size of the typeface and design.

As for games for children up to five years, AniWorld is an application where you have to take care of various pets, which helps children learn more about animals. There are two versions, one basic and one paid at a cost of two euros with a greater number of features. However, both versions have up to 36 types of animals to choose from.

Finally, to use the phone as a modem with the technique " tethering ", there are various applications to make use of this action. Among them, EasyTether available in a free basic version and a paid, with more features and costs 7 euros. It is compatible with computers that work with Windows operating systems, Mac OS X and Linux.

The consumer electronics manufacturers produce consumer products and new versions of it every few months which isnt new news about technology. In the following year after the product launch an updated version is released doubling the memory and storage capacity. However, there is a market segment where new products go on sale every five years, which is in the case of video game console tech.

In recent years smartphones and tablets technologies have dramatically increased hardware and software capabilities allowing them to gain features and benefits similar to those of traditional game consoles. For this reason, the leading manufacturer of portable game consoles, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, need to maintain the attractiveness to consumers, in order to prevent the user from the being replaced by a tablet or a next-generation computer handset.

Nowadays, the consoles on the market are the so-called seventh-generation and launched between 2005 and 2006. The oldest is Xbox 360 , although over the years has experienced some hardware and software upgrades, as well as having the latest peripherals and drivers that have led to renewed sales, and the peripheral Kinect to interact with this console without using a traditional gamepad.

On the software side, the Xbox 360, like the other competitors, has focused on being the media center of households with access to online games and on-demand audiovisual content. The latest development is an agreement with a Spanish telecom operator to bring Internet TV to the console through some of their online services. In addition, Microsoft said at the end of the year is scheduled to release the new service XboX Music , which will have an initial catalog of more than eleven million songs.

 Nintendo Wii U

Nintendo's bet for the coming years a new console called Wii U , which will be released during 2012 and which is still unknown price. Presented at the last E3, focusing on developments in gaming, the Wii console has a control U-shaped tablet with 6.2 inch touch screen and ability to play HD video at 1080p.

The characteristics of this remote place it in the market segment of tablets, like the iPad, which have become an alternative gaming
platform

This command will not be compatible with the current version of the
Wii, with the traditional controls of the Nintendo consoles, like the
spider buttons, along with two " joysticks "located on each side of it.
It also has an accelerometer, gyroscope, video camera for video
conferencing or taking photographs, along with microphone and speakers. Thus, the characteristics of this control-tablet as fall within the market segment of the tablets, as the iPad , which in turn both won games as an alternative platform.
That is, Nintendo Strikes by invasion of the market of its competitor,
which can give good results especially in markets like Korea and Japan,
where the brand is very popular.
Users can interact with the command to expand the possibilities of games.
One of the examples shown in the presentation of the console allows you
to use the command located on the ground and the point where it placed a
golf ball, which once hit appears on the TV screen.
With this new concept, Nintendo wants the experience of playing not
have to depend exclusively on the TV screen where it is connected.
Although this command is not compatible with the current model of the
Wii, the games themselves may be used today in the new console will
support the other accessories on the market.
It will offer some games through its online platform, designed
exclusively for the command-tablet, which will be compatible with 3DS. One of the first games announced is Lego City Stories .
As for Nintendo's portable console, since last July can be downloaded from eShop (the Nintendo online store) application for 3DS Nintendo Video
, designed to provide audiovisual and multimedia content to the
console, especially music videos, video clips, cartoons and exclusive
content in both two and three dimensions.

 Sony PlayStation

For its part, Sony introduced earlier this year its new technology handheld console, renamed later as Vita PS .
This console will be available in Spain this Christmas, will cost 249
euros in the version with wifi and 299 euros, for the model with wifi
connectivity +3 G. One of the selling points of this handheld is that it has power similar to the PlayStation 3 (PS3).
Thus, rumors in the industry revolve around when Sony announced a renewal of their next console star, the PS3. For now, the entertainment segment manager of Sony in America, Jack Tretton, said last June that Sony has no plans to launch a new PlayStation in the coming months.
However, according to Digitimes, the next generation of the PlayStation would be available in the market during 2012 , since its entry into the chain production in Chinese factories is intended for late 2011.

It's called "vaporware" to the expectations created around devices that ultimately did not go to market

In recent years the concept of 'vaporware' has become widespread and used for any product to announce its release, although it need not be related to the field of consumer electronics or new technologies. However, in technology has a special meaning, closely linked from the cultural point of view to the changing digital age.

The emergence of a new technological product always brings an increase in expectations, which the consultant Garthe explained and defined by a graph called 'Hype Curve'.

This curve consists of five phases that a product goes from launch to the stage of consolidation. Thus, the cycles of concepts such as the so-called Web 2.0 or blogs , can be explained by this curve.
However, one product 'vaporware' usually gets a promise (false or real) that never fails to produce the expected benefit and even goes through cycles that define the 'Hype Curve'. As stated in Wikipedia , the term 'vaporware' may have popularized in 1984 with the technical support and investment in new technologies, Esther Dyson .

Marketing to forget the "fiascos"
Often the 'vaporware' is used by technology companies as a marketing strategy to distract the market with future features of new products. In this way forget claim that a current product that has been a commercial level "fiasco."
The history of operating systems and the 'vaporware' go hand in hand. Thus, in the past, often ad nauseam announced new features that would imply a break in some aspects of these systems and ultimately never added to the final version marketed.
Wired magazine is responsible for ten years to publish a list of ten products of the year you were classified as 'vaporware'. Now include all types of products, from records to military equipment.

'Duke Nukem Forever'
The products listed as 'vaporware' by Wired in recent years highlights the game 'Duke Nukem Forever, the sequel to one of first person shooters most popular in the early 90's.
This was announced in 1997 along with some first images of the final result. Then, due to a series of internal disputes in the development phase, the release dates were postponed from year to year. In December 2007, showed a new trailer announcing that they were serious this time.
In 2004, after appearing in this list for three consecutive years, Wired magazine awarded the prize "a lifetime achievement ', one of the candidates to appear on it year after year.
Finally, the game appeared for the PC and Xbox 360 just a couple of months, and got bad reviews from all publications . So much so analysts were hard with the game, describing it as outdated aesthetically and vulgar, the promoter of the game threatened to veto events in all those publications that were adverse.
The winners of this list include Steorn Orbo , a magnetic motor capable of bypassing the first law of thermodynamics , which heat up when he was not running in the absence of friction between materials, Tesla Roadster, an electric sports powerful and autonomy; Windows XP Service Pack 3, an update to XP which took four years to launch despite repeated promises from Microsoft, and Optimus Maximus , a keyboard, OLED displays consists of only several prototypes have been tested and whose outlet is delayed continuously.

Web TV: Evolved

Two new ways to get even more telly on your telly

Apple TV
Tiny looking square shaped Apple TV downsizes 80% compared to the older model & specially made for hiring movies & television to you, and i mean tailor made because there isn't a storage method, designating streaming the single available option. Movies begin at $3.99 for thirty days rental; once you begin viewing you have exactly 48 hrs. TV show seasons start at $2.99. There are 7000 movies to choose from on iTunes, 3400 of those movies are High Definition.
In contrast to Boxee Box, surfing the net out of your sofa isnt possible, even though you are able to browse Picasa,YouTube and others through their programs and stream files through the Pc or Macintosh. The controller is pretty basic but not to worry, because you can always turn your ipod/iphone into a virtual remote.

The Details
1 720
Optimum resolution is not as big compared to the Boxee, maxing out to 720p, the likely cause is 1080p offers much stress on your internet connection
2 Internet Sites
You may stream from YouTube, Netflix, MobileMe and Flickr. Standard browsing isn't permitted
3 Processor
The processor inside apple tv is the same as the one used in the ipad and iPhone 4

D-Link Boxee Box
A cross between a a Streamer and a Media Centre PC would best represent the Boxee Box. It has Intel's 1.2HGz Atom CE4100 processor, the first chip designed for use specifically with the internet TV applications - it'll also be in Sony's Google TV- Enabled sets.
The Boxee Allows streaming from your PC or Mac and full web browsing via the double-sided QWERTY remote. You can check emails, view sites and watch videos streamed from nearly any website. You can easily share or recommend shows because it syncs direct to facebook. There's also bespoke content and apps from your favorite TV channels and social media websites including Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Picasa.

The Details
1 1080
Thanks to an HDMI socket you can run footage at up to 1080p HD to your TV
2 Upgrades
"Dynamic upgrades" mean it automatically updates the software, so you won't need to worry about that
3 Remote
One side of the remote has a QWERTY keyboard, the other a laptop-like trackpad for navigation

The previous 360 was akin to having a jet engine inside your living room, but the new one, according to microsoft, is whisper quiet. Hot on the heels of the Pavilion DM4 is the HP Photosmart eStation. This has to be the ultimate printer for travellers, particularly those travelling for company. It's not a portable printer. Rather, it sits inside your officejust like any other printer. The distinction is that it has an email address. Use the email address to sendprint jobs to it from where ever you occur to be within the world. So lengthy as it's on it'll print straight away.

Although this might appear like an odd inclusion for a printer, all of the apps are created for the product. Most of them are games or activities that will be printed out and taken with you.

The eStation can print at resolutions up to 9600x2400dpi and comes with a detachable 7-inch screen. Even when detached you are able to still use it to operate the printer. Cool concept but possibly just an additional thing that will get lost. And when you are paying $699 for a printer, you dont wish to lose its peices.
Apple's new phone may be closer than you believe

Already rumours in regards to the iphone 5 tend to be hitting the fan. Is there going to be a quick release to cover up the fact that apple iphone 4 had Antenna problems? Will 5th age bracket iPhones bring God-like pace mobile web? will it make your old-fashioned pocket book obsolete? let's discover what the rumour mill must say, and which iPhone 5 whispers are most likely the most persuading.
The iPhones launch day will probably be within winter...
Apple has established a rythem when it comes to iPhones produces, with new versions apearing in late june or early july next year. It's a safe wager that the iPhone 5 release day may also be late 06 or even early this summer.

...Or maybe the iPhone Five release date will probably be previously
iLounge says it's supply thinks apple may push the apple iphone 5 release day forwards - possibly to the month associated with january 2011 - due to the iPhone 4 aerial issues. It's not clear weather such a hurry release would just be an iPhone 4 having a various antenna or even if it would turn out to be some thing much more considerable.

The iPhone 5 specs might contain a digital wallet
There is some speculation that Apple might contain Near Field Discussion (NFC) Technology within the apple iphone 5, turning it into a type ofcredit/debit card. Nevertheless, because Techeye.net notes, "apple offers looked into NFC before" so this is most likely not imminent.

The iphone 5 specs will likely be comparable to the apple iphone 4
According to the Chinese Financial Every day News (by way of AppleInsider), with the exception of Qualcomm chipsets - which might replace the present apple company iphone's Infineon ones -- Apple's staying with the exact same providers for the 2011 apple iphone Five components.

The apple iphone 5 specifications will probably be evolutionary, not really revolutionary

We'd expect the basics of the iPhone Five specs to obtain a bump - much more memory, quicker processor chip and much more storage -- but DVICE quotes just one expert who claims how the specs consist of a new antenna, 1.2GHz processor along with a 3.7" screen rather than the present Three.5". The iPhone Five might also be produced from a new type of metal.

The apple iphones 5 specs may contain LTE support
At least One analyst thinks the apple iphone 5 will assistance LTE, super-fast mobile broadband, despite the fact that that might be restricted to the US. That could makethe iPhone Five a 4G phone, that will not be confusing whatsoever. LTE is definitely coming - AT&T within the United States plans to roll out it's LTE service in Next year - but an LTE iPhone has been stated for a while. Would it make a difference to Australia? Not likely.

The actual iPhone 5 cost will not alter
If, like the relocate the iPhone 3 towards the 3GS, the apple iphone 5 is an development of what originates prior to - and i also believe it will probably be -- then we'd expect the price to stay much more or less the exact same. If apple really wanted to get back into everyones good books, presently there would be a price decrease, but realistically, it might most likely nothave to go to those measures.
