For $12, one man briefly owned Google. Well, he owned its domain name.

In a blog post on his LinkedIn page, Sanmay Ved, a student at Babson University, detailed how he was able to purchase one of the most iconic domain names in the world for just $12.

Ved was playing with Google Domains, the company's domain registration product, when he found that Google.com was available to purchase for just $12. Tinder is introducing its "Super Like" swipe feature to users worldwide so you can let people know when you super duper like them.

It’s just like the other functions, so you can either tap a button or swipe. In this case, you’ll click a blue star or swipe up. If you stumble across the profile of someone who Super Liked you, a blue banner will appear at the bottom of their photo notifying you. LG's clueless when it comes to designing smartwatches.

Earlier this year, the company released the Watch Urbane, a smartwatch that tried so hard to be fashionable, but completely missed the mark on comfort. On Wednesday, the company unveiled the second-gen Watch Urbane, the world's first Android Wear smartwatch with LTE.

It's great that LG's trying to make a smartwatch a true standalone phone with cellular connectivity, but the new Watch Urbane is just as clunky and ugly as the old one. What the heck is LG doing?

There are lots of great places to people watch: the subway, theme parks, malls. And a Southern California mountain lion has found another fun vantage point: power poles.

The mountain lion was photographed Tuesday atop a utility pole in Lucerne Valley, California. It apparently climbed up the pole for refuge after being startled by a school bus full of children.

After the bus drove away, however, the cat seemed to like the view from its new hangout spot. So it stayed there all afternoon.

A Nova Scotia man broke into a home in British Columbia, showered, brushed his teeth, wrote in the home owners' diary and fed their cats

It's a lot like Airbnb if you don't pay attention to the home invasion part.

33-year-old Christopher Hiscock pled guilty on Monday to possession of stolen property and being unlawfully in a dwelling-house

According to the National Post, the residents of the home returned after a night out to find Hiscock sitting on their couch drinking coffee.

Prosecutor Mike Wong told the court, "He used (the residents') toothbrush and shaver, he had taken some meat out of the freezer to thaw and he had written in their diary.'' Read more...

While flying home with her family, four-year-old Phoebe Steel nearly lost her beloved teddy bear RaRa at Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Little did she know that RaRa was about to go on the journey of a lifetime.

After noticing of her daughter's missing bear, Jen Heuvelmans Steel, Pheobe's mother, contacted the airport through Facebook to see if they could track it down. Not only was the bear found in a lost and found drawer, the airport staff was ready to send RaRa back to its rightful owner.

Hurricane Joaquin continues to be a weather forecasters' worst nightmare

It is currently slamming into the central Bahamas with a dangerously long duration of hurricane force winds, storm surge flooding and heavy rains. Computer models have shifted the forecast track hundreds of miles eastward from where it was on Wednesday night, lowering the likelihood of a landfall in the Carolinas, and putting southern New England on higher alert
