So what does that mean? This simply means people wearing the Google Glass won’t have to switch to their computer or cell phone to be able to use Facebook. Built by Facebook, this app allows you to upload photos from Google Glass directly to your Facebook timeline. Moreover, you can also add an optional photo description, just by speaking it little loud and clear. Right now, users can’t tag people in photos from Glass, but they can tag the pictures after sharing them by going on a computer or mobile device.

Although the Glass is not released officially for public, we can see more and more companies already gearing up for the next revolution. This Thursday, Twitter also launched their app for the Glass about which you can read more here.

Using these apps like Facebook would be simple for the users, for example you will see a small icon on the right side of the image that you have already shared on Facebook (same goes for other apps too). If you then need to add some description to the image, that is also possible just by tapping it and speaking into the glass.

What is Multi-tasking?

In the technical sense, “multi-tasking” means doing more than one thing at the same time. This involves switching from one task to another until all of them are done. For instance, you answer calls on RingCentral Virtual PBX and reply to emails as you work on your PowerPoint presentation for your weekly meeting. On paper, this sounds like a good idea – you get more things done by switching from one task to another as you go through a multitude of tasks each day. Boredom does not become an issue; and it appears like you’re going through your to-do list at an amazing pace. However, experts disagree – the proof is in the end results!

Does It Really Work?

Switching from one task to another opens up windows for distractions, including browsing on Facebook, surfing the net, or sending out a few Tweets… before you know it, you’re no longer multi-tasking work; you’ve included distractions on your plate. This not only makes your work harder so you could finish, but also takes up most of your precious time. In practice, multi-tasking does not make your work better – it only appears that way.

1. Pomodoro

This nifty tool allows you to manage each task by spending an average of 25 minutes on each task with 5-minute breaks in between. If you need more than 25 minutes for a certain task, you can simply restart your timer; and off you go. I find this very useful, especially when writing articles. I usually set my first timer for research and the second one for writing. Then I set aside my article, work on another task, and go back to the article, set the timer again, and edit my article. So far, so good!

2. Wunderlist

I find this online tool very handy when it comes to planning my day because I have a way to tick off what I have already accomplished. Yes, I still like seeing my to-do list on paper (the transition is not that easy for me) because old habits die hard; but Wunderlist is slowly growing on me and I find it easier to track my progress now. No more sticky notes all over my desk (this used to drive my boss crazy!) and no more mess. I just have to wean myself from my cute notebook that holds my physical to-do list.

3. Evernote

This is my favorite among all the software out there. For people who heavily rely on research like me, this application is a lifesaver, not to mention a space saver. It enables users to save everything from URLs to articles, from websites to notes and pictures. You can even add your own notes; include tags to help you with your research, and include anything else that will help you with your work.

Here is a simple solution to focus on one window whenever you have many opened in the background. This is sort of an added feature that helps us in knowing which song is currently being played just by looking at the phone but this sometimes can minimize our privacy. There can be times when you wish that no body can find out which song you are playing, to add to your privacy or simply you wish to have a cleaner interface on your iPhone display.

So whatever be your reason, this post will help you in hiding the songs information from the iPhone lock screen. There is small tweak for this purpose called as Secret “Now Playing” (yes with the quotes in the name) and as the name suggests, this app will let you disable the Now Playing songs information from the iPhone lock screen.

The app can be downloaded free from the Cydia store but you will first need to configure the app in the settings after installing before it is able to take control. So just go the Settings, where you will find the app settings. To configure the settings, Enable the app from the first button as shown. Recently Microsoft warned all the Facebook users about a new browser extension Trojan that is spreading on Facebook and hijacking the profiles. This Trojan is called Trojan:JS/Febipos.A and was first discovered in Brazil but the rate at which it is spreading, we are sure it will include the other areas of the world soon.

The malware is a malicious browser extension mostly attacking Chrome and Firefox. When installed, it attempts to update itself using the following URLs:

Chrome browser:

du-pont.info/updates/<removed>/BL-chromebrasil.crx

Mozilla Firefox browser:

du-pont.info/updates/<removed>/BL-mozillabrasil.xpi

What this Trojan does is, it monitors the user activity to see when the user is logged into Facebook and when the user is logged in, it attempts to get a configuration file from the website <removed>.info/sqlvarbr.php. The file includes a list of commands of what the browser extension will do.

This extension/Trojan can be responsible for liking a page, share, post, join group, invite friends to group, launch chat to friends and comment on a post. In short this Trojan can do activities that you would not like to and that too without your consent.

Recent example of the activity of the Trojan. The configuration file contains a command to post the following message in Facebook:

Trojan can also like some malicious page and spread via the page (as shown in the screenshot). It may also post links on Facebook profiles. For example, the posted link from the Facebook page in the image above redirects to a website that sells cars.

As per MS, the simplest way to stay safe from this Trojan is to keep your security products up to date and always be little more cautious while installing an add-on for the browser [via].

People create false accounts in order to advertise or simply get attention. Most of them put photos of some attractive person to gain attention and thereby adding you to their list. Facebook too is not spared by fake and fraud profiles. So if you wish to scan and analyze a profile of someone you feel looks fake, then here is a tool for that too. This tool is called FB Checker and as the name suggests, it helps you to check and analyze the profile of someone you are visiting at the moment. It will then let you know if the profile is fake or not.

How FB Checker works:

1. You need to download and install this app called FB Checker and when you run it for the first time it will ask for your FB login. After logging in, you can leave it running in the background.

2. Now browse Facebook as you do normally in your favorite browser. You will see that whenever you open a profile, it gets automatically loaded in the FB Checker (present in the system tray).

3. To scan some profile, you need to view the photos of the profile in your browser and those will be loaded into the tool as well. Just make sure you view only the person’s photos and not any other photos like flowers, gags or he/she with a group of friends (as it would fetch more accurate results).

4. Now you will need to select the images to scan. Manually select the images and click the Analyze Profile button. The scan might take some time depending upon the number of the images selected.

5. On the next results page you will see the photo and the links of the web pages where this photo has also been found.

So doing this you can easily find out if the profile is fake or not. The tool is compatible on Windows all versions.
