LG announced two new ultra-thin 55-inch “full LED” LCD TV’s in Seoul. Both the models are extremely thin and promises superior picture quality, quality and design.

LG announced two new ultra-thin 55-inch “full LED” LCD TV’s in Seoul. Both the models are extremely thin and promises superior picture quality, quality and design. A total of 3,360 LEDs are used for backlighting, which is seven times more than that used in the existing high-end LED TV’s. The models also feature 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio through enhanced dimming technology that divides the screen into 240 blocks with a refresh rate of 240Hz thus ensuring smooth display even while watching fast-paced action scenes. Another innovative feature in these modes is the enhanced wireless feature, which eliminates the need for image compression. Hence the content from the DVD players and game consoles can be sent wirelessly without and degradation in the image quality.

The model 55LH93 is priced at around KRW 7 million (approximately 5500 US Dollars) and the 55LH95 is priced around KRW 7.6 million (approximately 5900 US Dollars).

Apple today introduced the upgraded iPhone 3G S which is twice as fast as the iPhone 3G and it also comes with built-in support for 7.2 HSPDA for faster web browsing at WWDC 2009.

Apple today introduced the upgraded iPhone 3G S which is twice as fast as the iPhone 3G and it also comes with built-in support for 7.2 HSPDA for faster web browsing at WWDC 2009. The new model takes advantage of the OpenGL ES 2.0 standard for enabling high quality 3D graphics, gaming and applications that require lots of graphics.

The new iPhone has longer battery life, 3 megapixel autofocus camera, video recording and hands free voice control features. The 3MP camera can take pictures while adjusting the focus, exposure, contrast and color automatically for best possible pictures. Also the automatic macro focus mode takes care of the close up shots.

Voice Control feature allows the user to issue voice commands by speaking into the built-in microphone or through the headset microphone. Users will be able to call others by name or by number, skip tracks, pause and play, or even select a song or ask what song is currently being played through the voice commands.

Now, there is a jog like structure with buttons on the bottom, we don’t what it does but it sure looks interesting. It remains to be seen if this new design does anything useful in terms of usage. No word on the pricing yet but will hit the stores in Japan at the end of July.
