Create Shortcut to Shutdown/Restart PC

Normally it takes a hell lot of time just Shutting down Windows, you have to move your mouse to the Start Button, click on it, move it again over Shut Down, click, then move it over the necessary option and click, then move the cursor over the OK button and once again (you guessed it) click.This whole process can be shortened by creating shortcuts on the Desktop which will shut down Windows at the click of a button.

Create Shortcut to Shutdown/Restart PC

1. Right Click on an empty space on desktop and click on New > Shortcut.

2. Enter ‘shutdown -s -t 00‘ in the space provide against Type the location of the item.

3. Click Next and enter a name for the shortcut.
4. Apply a proper icon to it . You can now shutdown Windows through the shortcut. The -t flag lets you set the time lapse in seconds.
5. In order to Restart you PC just replace -s with -r

1. Log on to your Facebook account and write the status in the text field.
2. Click on the security lock icon just bellow your status field and a drop down menu will appear

3. Under the section Hide This from, enter the names of the friends, from whom you want to hide your status update.

4. Click on Save setting.

That's all. Now when you will share your update it will not show to the friends that you have selected. Make share you have saved your setting before you share your update and this is just for one time, you need to change the setting before you share any thing other.

Twitter is being used by many, and many faces a problem of sharing any file on Twitter. You can tweet, share links and your thoughts but not file. TwileShare another application that can make the use of Twitter better. You can share your pics, docs or pdf files on Twitter via Twilrshare

For using TwileShre you just have to log on to it with your Twitter account. But since this is in Beta phase so you just have to request for an invitation in order to use it. Once you got an access to Twileshare just select the file you want to share on Twitter upload it on TwileShare and Twileshare will tweet that link to Twitter. You can share files like .doc, .jpg, .gif, .pdf and .png.

Ask questions to Google Talk Guru

Google has recently introduced a service that allows you ask question to Google and in return Google will tell you the answer to your question. This is an experimental service launched by Google, where you can chat with the Google Guru and ask you questions.

Google Talk Guru setup
1. Log on to your Google account and sign in to Google chat.
2. Click on the link Google Talk Guru and click on Invite myself to chat with Guru or send a chat invitation to guru@googlelabs.com

3. Find guru in your contact list and send queries to guru

That´s all. Now ask you question to to the guru and get information like sports results, weather forecasts, definitions etc via chat.

Add your Personal Image in Gmail Background

Google initially introduced Themes in Gmail to give a new feel to the interface. Now they have gone one step ahead by giving the option to create your own theme. You can give a personal touch to the Gmail by changing the background of the Gmail by a personal picture.

Adding Image to Gmail Background
1. Open Gmail and log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click on Setting.
3. Under the Theme tab, click on Create your Own Theme & and a new window will open showing you the options for the creation of theme.

4. Click on the Arrow at the top left corner of the screen an open the options. Now click on Select in front of Background Image.

5. A window will open showing you the Google uploader. Select the desired option to upload the image.

6. Click on upload.
That's all. You have a new interface to your Gmail.
