Tecnomatrix and the Swedish company Holje Mekaniska AB a company partnership agreement.

From now on, Tecnomatrix is the official sales representative of Holje Mekaniska in Spain and France for the promotion and production of the Swedish company checking fixtures.

Holje Mekaniska AB is specialised in the design and fabrication of checking fixtures made of aluminium profiles, enabling to check large assemblies of parts, such as car bodies, roofs, doors, panels and interior linings, and so on.

Holje patented systems, now available through Tecnomatrix, allow to get stable and lighter structures, used as well as holding fixtures for CMM as checking tools for your part assemblies.

Toyota showed off its super compact, C-segment iQ to the world a few days ago. The car was first shown in concept form at Frankfurt last year, and will be produced in late 2008 at Paris Motor Show.

Toyota is touting the iQ as the ultimate refined mode of transportation and at less than 118 inches (2.895 metres) in length, it’s certainly small enough to be a devoted city runabout.

The iQ is called a 3+1, meaning it is capable of carrying up to three adults along with a child or luggage in comfort.

Toyota is especially proud of the six engineering innovations it utilized to maximize interior space in the iQ in addition to the long wheelbase of nearly 79 inches, which minimizes overhangs but maximizes the space between the wheels.

• A newly developed compact differential, alone said to be responsible for over 100mm of added length in the cabin in comparison to the B-segment Toyota Yaris.
• Rear-angled shocks and a flat fuel tank under the seats
• A smaller heater / air conditioner unit that’s just as efficient
• A center take-off steering column
• An asymmetrical dashboard
• Slimmer seats claimed to contribute about 1.5 inches in length to the interior.

Despite its small size, the iQ received a 5-star safety rating in Euro NCAP testing.

“We came to the conclusion that, in order to ensure a sustainable future, there was a need for a radical change in vehicle packaging. We needed to create a break-through, away from the traditional belief that small is basic,” said Kazuo Okamoto, Executive Vice President in charge of Research and Development at Toyota.

The pushed-forward dashboard features temperature controls with an LCD display, as well as a 5.8-inch screen for satellite navigation system.

The iQ showed at Geneva sat on 16-inch wheels and powerplant choices will include two gasoline and one diesel engine. Toyota expects to sell 100,000 units of the iQ in its first year of production globally.

Ha reunido a 136 empresas, de las que 54 son españolas, para un total de 15 países europeos representados.

El éxito de este encuentro animó la cámara de comercio de Navarra a organizar para el año 2009 el II Encuentro de compradores internacionales del automoción.

MIDEST es una de las mayores ferias de subcontratación industrial de Europa, y ésta ha sido su 37ima edición en la que reunió a 1.805 expositores, entre los que 679 eran empresas no francesas. En total, se representaron 33 países en esta feria, esencialmente europeos, lo que representó un incremento del 4% del número de expositores en comparación con el 2006.

A pesar de la huelga de los transportes públicos de París que sucedió en el mismo momento de la feria, el servicio de buses desde el aeropuerto de París Charles de Gaulle y varios puntos de París permitió la llegada de 31.367 visitantes a la feria. En total, los visitantes procedieron de 65 países diferentes.

La sección España de la feria contó más de 40 expositores españoles, con la participación de 5 cámaras de comercio diferentes en la organización del evento. Para Tecnomatrix ha sido una feria muy provechosa por la cantidad de contactos que ha realizado. Gracias a la colaboración de MECAPLAST y MARPOSS, entre otros, Tecnomatrix ha podido exponer útiles de control interesantes y disponer de este modo de un stand que ha atraído las miradas de técnicos interesados en la materia.
