I watch and read in great interest as all the events unfold in Perak. This must be the greatest JOKE of Malaysian politics of all time!

Just a couple weeks ago. One UMNO members declared that he quit the BN coalition party to join PKR, today he is back on with UMNO. What a CLOWN! The three missing politicians who claimed to be sick, seeking treatment elsewhere and etc today stood beside the BIGGEST CLOWN in Malaysia, Mr. Najib Razak as he declared them joining BN and one going indepedent. Najib Razak is, IMHO, the most scandalous, dirtiest and lowest integrity leader that Malaysian has ever seen!

How can Najib announce that BN is going to take over the Perak government? Just because he was able to 'convinced' them to join BN or somehow these MPs who are not happy with PKR jumped ship and reading out loud the Perak state law which enable him to form the state government if the MB lost majority support? I wonder where's the integrity of these so called people representative!

These people just doesn't appreciate the democratic process! The voice of the people is the mandate. They are chosen to lead and help the people. They positions are not for being clowns and jumping here and there when they are not happy and change support for the political party that gives them the most benefits.

In any case, resigning from your post and changing party should result in an election. Let the people choose again. These clowns must understand that the people in the constituency has the final say.

Well, I'm sure Najib Razak is trying not to have any election because he knows for sure that the people will not vote for these clowns that jumped ship if they represented BN's party.

I just cannot imagine what Malaysia will be from March 2009 onwards with Najib Razak at the helm of Malaysian government. Even before he is the Prime Minister he can do all these. Also, with all the allegations of him related to the murder of Altantuya and etc which he just blatantly denied, how can Malaysian trust such a man to lead the country? I just can't see his credibility!

Lets see what's up next in the program for this CIRCUS.

Singapore: 20% personal income tax rebate

Singapore Government has just announced that households will get a 20% personal income tax rebate for 2009 assessment. This certainly a good news for most people in Singapore especially at this time of global economy crisis. Year 2009 is going to be a tough year for everyone especially those businesses that is affected by the current crisis.

This measure by the government is certainly much appreciated by everyone in Singapore. Cheers to the effeciency of Singaproe Government

SINGAPORE: Households will get a 20 per cent personal income tax rebate for Year of Assessment 2009, capped at S$2,000.

There will also be 40 per cent property tax rebate for owner-occupied homes in 2009.

Together, these two tax rebates will cost the government S$532 million (S$75 million for property tax rebates and S$457 for income tax rebates).

Home-buyers will also get more help to pay for their first home.

The Additional CPF Housing Grant for first time home-buyers will be increased from S$30,000 to S$40,000.

The household income ceiling to qualify for this will also be raised from S$,4000 to S$5,000.

8,000 home-buyers are expected to benefit from this scheme each year costing the government about S$150 million per year.

Malaysiakini: Minister rejects human trafficking claims

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar today acknowledged that many Burmese nationals have entered this country via the Malaysia-Thai border but denied that there is human trafficking.

“Where did these foreigners get their information? They assume that they know more than we do. If there is proof, action can be taken. Don’t make wild accusations,” he said.

Malaysia's big bald headed Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar is in the state of denial yet again! I just don't understand how many times he has to be proven wrong before he would finally admit that the facts presented right in front of his face is CORRECT! Doesn't he has a complete picture of what's happening in the country? Must Malaysians be informed by foreign experts to tell them what's happening?

KT by-election RESULTS - PAS won by 2,631 votes

Malaysian voters ringing the bells again in the latest by-election in Kuala Terengganu. Yet again, Malaysians are telling the ruling government, Barisan Nasional, that it is no longer the preferred government.

PAS won this by-election by a majority of 2,631. Although this is not a huge win but it was enough to spell the change of preference for the Malaysian people. It is the 2nd consecutive by-election lost by the UMNO-BN candidate this year. In both by-elections, the prime minister in-waiting, Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak was heavily involved.

Well, in my humble opinion, Malaysians are telling MR. Najib Razak that he is not the preferred leader in this country. Can you imagine how bad it looks when such a 'big leader' from the ruling government tried all his might to win 2 by-elections and yet lost? Before the poll on Saturday, he was confidently telling reporters that he had confidence that the KT people will vote for the UMNO candidate and they would win.

I'm waiting for the day the next Malaysian General Election comes. Hopefully, Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak will be brave enough to call for election when he becomes the Prime Minister this March to prove that he is indeed Malaysian's choice to be the Prime Minister to lead the country. Here's something that I feel all ladies should take note of. Please read this or send it to females that you know. This is a real confession of a rapist.

This is important information for females of ALL ages . Guys - please forward to the female members of your family and all your female / girl friends and associates.

When this was sent to me, I was told to forward it to my lady friends. I forwarded it to most everyone in my address book. My men friends have female friends and this information is too important to miss someone. Please pass it along.

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts :

1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle . They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed . They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly . Many of them carry scissors around specifically to cut clothing.

3) They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

4) Men are most likely to attack & rape in the early morning, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocery store parking lots . Number two is office parking lots/garages . Number three is public restrooms.

6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.

7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.

8) If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas , or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.

10) Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: "I can't believe it is so cold out here", "we're in for a bad winter." Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a line-up; you lose appeal as a target.

11) If someone is coming toward you , hold out your hands in front of you and yell STOP or STAY BACK ! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back . Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

12) If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yell I HAVE PEPPER Spray and holding it out will be a deterrent.

13) If someone grabs you , you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm (between the elbow and armpit) OR in the upper inner thigh VERY VERY HARD . One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches.

Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it hurts.

14) After the initial hit, always GO for the GROIN . I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he's out of there.

15) When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible . The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

16) Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings , take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts!!!

The true Malaysian English, at its best. Where loads of cynism and 'rojak' english are evident. If you speak Manglish, you will know that it is NOT English. It's way more complicated than that.

As proof, Manglish has more words than English. A classic example, 'lah'. Why lah? Dowan lah!

I have not own a car yet. It's definitely in my plan next year. I need a car for my job. Well, in Singapore, it's pretty normal that most people do not have their own garage because people here lives mostly in condominiums and flats. Only those who can afford they own landed house might have a garage.

My dad has a garage. It was pretty messy. My dad decided to make a garage cabinets for his garage after my mum complains for weeks! After getting the carpenters to measure and make the cabinet, my dad's garage looks much neater and organized. Everything is place properly with tags so that my dad wouldn't forget where he took the gadgets.

The garage cabinet definitely has make life easier for my dad as he doesn't have to hear my mum's nagging anymore about the garage.

It's late into the nights and I could not get my eyes to close for a good night sleep despite my eyes has been staring at my laptop's screen for more than 4 hours with the lights off.

I stumbled a really nice post by a very open minded lady in Singapore who openly writes about her life and sexuality at Ping.sg. She was writing about the real intention of guys buying drinks for girls in clubs and pubs - "Buy me a drink? Give you a lay!" She wrote part of the post in a very tactful manner by portraying 3 girls who almost got into trouble for inviting guys buying them drinks on purpose. Well, nothing bad happened but it should be a reminder to girls out there thinking that they are attractive and it's alright for them to use that as a weapon to trick guys into getting free drinks from guys. As the saying goes, there is no FREE LUNCH in this world.

Frankly speaking, at the time when I was still single, often when I went out drinking or clubbing with my buddy, he will always trying to 'hunt' for potential 'prey' of the night. Otherwise it wouldn't be a fun night. One of the tactic was of course to offer drinks. I'm not sure what girls are thinking. Are they thinking that guys offer drinks just for the sake of buying them drinks? There are always motives behind that offer. It's either to get laid or the very least is to befriend with the girls.
