Logos.  Every company has one.  When you see a company logo on a billboard or ad after time you begin to recognize it as their symbol.  Consumers become attached to these logos.  It gives a connection to the company.  Over the last 3 years JCPenney has changed their look 3 times.  The biggest and most noticeable over haul was the most recent logo change- just the letters jcp in the left corner of a red box.  This change was put in place by the short lived CEO, Ron Johnson.  Now that Johnson is gone the company has gone back to the well known full word &#8216;jcpenney&#8217; logo.  It is more recognizable and brings the connection back between the customer and store.<br />
When shaping your company, the logo has a lot to do with it.  It goes everywhere your business does.  It needs to be representative of who you are and speak to the consumer.  You might be stuck with it forever so think long and hard about it.  Many companies, like GAP have tried to do logo updating only to result in an uproar from consumers.  They then revert back to the trusty initial logo.  Below are some well known logos in compressed t-shirt shapes&#8230;<br />

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk Foundation recently released an ad that has a different message for adults and children.  The messaging uses lenticular images and is based on height.  When adults or individuals taller than 4&#8217;5&#8243; read the ad they see an unhappy child along with a statement about abused children.  When children or anyone shorter sees the add, they see an image of a boy with bruises and a message with a phone number stating that &#8220;if somebody hurts you, phone us and we will help you&#8221;.</p>
<p>This powerful ad created by the Spanish Organization ANAR is an example of demographic/socioeconomic segmentation marketing.  Meaning it is based on age, gender, income, occupation, education, household size, and/or stage in the family life cycle.  There are other market segments to consider when creating a marketing message. Let&#8217;s go through these marketing segments when deciding on how to utilize a compressed t-shirt.</p>
<p>-Demographic/socioeconomic- based on age, gender, income, occupation, education, household size, and/or stage in the family life cycle. Who is your audience?  Is it adult men, women, youth or a combo?  Our most commonly ordered shirt is a unisex heavyweight.  This option is a basic quality promotional giveaway that can and is worn by everyone.  If you know that your audience is more fashion forward then consider a ringspun or if they are out in the field go with a bright orange that will pop.</p>
<p>-Geographic- based on address.  This category ties into the demographic/socioeconomic.</p>
<p>-Phsychographic- groups that have similar attitudes, morals, lifestyles.  Most likely whoever you are giving the shirts to are from the same mindset. Consider if they would be more comfortable in a shirt designed with your left chest and full back imprint or can you push the creative envelope and design a side wrap.  Making a design imprint decision is important.  The recipients have to feel comfortable wearing this product.</p>

The roller skating baby commercial went viral back in 2011 and left us wanting more.  Evian has come through with a fabulously entertaining commercial of babies dancing.  You might be asking yourself how this connects to Evian water?  There are actually multiple ways that babies and Evian are branded together.<br />
1.) When Evian was first introduced it was marketed as a safe water to give to babies because of it&#8217;s balanced composition.  It is still sold this way in many European markets.<br />
2.) We all have a youthful, fun spirit within us.  A baby lives inside us all!<br />
3.) These babies will be our future.<br />
Since Evian&#8217;s tag line is &#8216;Live Young&#8217; their line of baby and me commercials is a perfect fit for their marketing strategy.  The utter cuteness of the little actors themselves has helped these commercials go viral.<br />

Phil the patriotic, a college graduate and football quarterback from Louisiana Tech, created and patented a now multimillion dollar duck call, Duck Commander.  His sons run the empire now along with their wives and Uncle Si.  If only I could spend a day with these people. I&#8217;d be happy, happy, happy!  Si and Jase would have me in stitches, Willie could shed some light on the life of a CEO and we could sit down to dinner with some of Miss Kay&#8217;s frog legs and pie. Hey!<br />

However to Eric Ducharme, a mermaid and merman, the mermaid&#8217;s counterpart, are all too real.  He impersonates them by wearing a tail that he fashioned himself for long swims.  This lifestyle, which will be part of TLC&#8217;s &#8220;My Crazy Obsession&#8221; has also become a business.  Eric owns Mertailor LLC, a retailer that offers silicone, rubber, and urethane tails in different colors, textures and styles. When Nasty Gal started in 2006 it was shunned by many in the Silicon Valley and LA regions where the business was based.  People just couldn&#8217;t get past the name of the company that was launched to sell one of a kind vintage pieces.  Well Nasty Gal has proved itself with a cult like following.  It has now grown to be a multi million dollar business that was on track to make $128 million in 2011.  ShopNastyGirl.com sells vintage inspired, some &#8220;naughty&#8221; yet tasteful clothing, shoes and accessories.  The owner and employees are bold trend setters that don&#8217;t shy away from wearing what is comfortable for them although it may not be fully accepted by the general public.<br />
It&#8217;s success has come from the owner knowing who she is and shaping the company brand with those ideals and strengths! Kudos to Nasty Gal!<br />

<strong>Company Promotion:</strong> Scottsdale Insurance Company requested pricing on a variety of compressed items before settling on a white beach towel printed with a playful graphic. The towel print conveys both the tone of the company and the theme of the 2013 underwriting conference at which these will be given away to over 500 lucky recipients.   </p>
<p><strong>Result:</strong> The size of the graphic and vibrancy of the print was of utmost importance.  We ultimately printed the artwork centered at 23&#8243;x50&#8243; on a 30&#8243;x60&#8243; White Beach Towel 10.5 LB/DZ velour.  The full color digitally printed insert card mirrored the print on the towel that we compressed into our DVD shape.  The end result was a towel that compressed 1.75&#8243; in depth.  This is a perfect promotional product that travels well and is immediately usable.<br />

<p><strong>Result:</strong> The detail of their image could only be captured with our digital printer.  We printed 11&#8243;x14&#8243; fitness towels with a 14&#8243; tall graphic.  The final product makes a strong statement.<br />
