exactly bold), which is why we are loving the Military Memory Bracelets,
a DIY accessory idea originated by Give An Hour. Launched in Fort Bragg, NC, teens constructed the bracelets
out of twine and colorful beads to show that they have a parent in the
armed forces. It serves as a great conversation starter when they see
each other wearing them, and now Give An Hour — a nonprofit organization that helps military families affected by the
current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan — is encouraging military communities across the country to give the bracelet their own unique spin.

One way each town can give their Military Memory Bracelets their own
unique meaning is by giving each bead a symbolic association. There can
be a
color for having a parent deployed in another country, one for moving to
another state, and even one for honoring a lost loved one. It’s up to
