Planned my week & weekend to make sure I could get my 10,000th @SwarmApp / @Foursquare checkin at ITP @ NYU (aka: the grad program where Dodgeball was born!) BTW, we got a good thing going on in Kingston with @StockadeFC and it’s the start of something great in the Hudson Valley. Thx to the 100+ players who gave their all at tryouts, the 100+ fans and supporters who showed up to cheer them on, and the dozens helping & volunteering to make it all come together. #WeAreStockade is happening and it’s awesome.

Special thx for Nike who invited us to a NTC (Nike Training Club) vs NRC (Nike Running Club) session around the launch of the new #LunarEpic.

I was on team NikeTraing (and @chelsa was on team NikeRunning). I haven’t *trained* in, er, a long time and could barely keep up… but in a good way. It’s taken about 7 months for @StockadeFC to go from “crazy idea” to “oh, this is happening and it’s going to be f'ing awesome”. Glad we stuck with it thru the hard parts, thankful for the support of friends, volunteers and the community. #WeAreStockade

We held our very first tryout last night – had about 30 of the best players in the Hudson Valley giving it their all. Inspiring to watch and incredibly impressed by the quality of play. We’re off to a great start and will be looking strong by May.

Last night’s tryout was invite-only but we’ll be doing an OPEN TRYOUT on Sat Mar 19, 12-2pm @ Dietz Stadium in Kingston. (Minimum fitness = 2mi in 12 mins). Hope to see you there… fans welcome too! (at Kingston, New York)

Announced the @StockadeFC coaching staff today (!!) It’s fun when it all starts to come together :)

We’re proud to announce local coaching legend George Vizvary is joining @StockadeFC as the club’s first Head Coach!

You may know Coach Viz (left) for his successful run as head coach of SUNY Ulster’s men’s soccer program from 1968 to 2010 (534 wins, 28 losses, 159 draws) and as recipient of the Walt Chyzowych Lifetime Achievement Award in Coaching.
Joining Coach Viz will be Assistant Coach Rory Becker (not pictured) who holds us a USSF A License, previously coached at SUNY New Paltz, and spent 5 years as Olympic Development Program coach.
Chuck Wilder (second from right) will also be joining the staff as the club’s Goalkeeping Coach. He’s coached with Rockland Glaciers (PDL) & New York Fever (A-League) and has played professionally for the Tucson Amigos, Albany Alleycats & the New York Fever.
We’re expecting a great season this spring. A round of invite-only tryouts are about to kick off (thanks to the work of Lead Scouts Dan Hoffay and Nick Hoffay) and we’re planning open tryouts for Sat March 19 @ Dietz Stadium. Stay tuned for more info! (at Dietz Memorial Stadium)
