Vanessa Hudgens’ and Alex Pettyfer’s new film Beastly has finally hit the US after its release was pushed back from the original release date in the summer of 2010.

The young stars attended a premiere at The Grove’s Pacific Theater in LA on Thursday, February 24th to help promote the overdue flick. Hudgens looked hot in a strapless purple dress, while Pettyfer looked dapper in a smart grey suit over a blue shirt.

However, British actor Pettyfer had more to worry about on Thursday than his outfit – on the same evening as he was promoting the movie, a fire broke out at his home in Beverly Hills.

A representative for Pettyfer’s ex, Glee star Dianna Agron, made a statement to Entertainment Tonight about the incident – “There was an electrical fire in the garage while no one was home. The house was not burned. No one was hurt.”

Pettyfer was late to the premiere, but apparently this had nothing to do with the fire – instead, he blamed it on the LA traffic.

Beastly will hit cinemas on March 4th.

The world might stop revolving as pop star singer and teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber got himself a haircut.

Known for his plastered hair all over his head look he now sports a new do. He had recently won an MVP honor last week at the All-Star game in Los Angeles.

On Monday morning Bieber used Twitter to say, “thinking about getting a haircut…hmmmmmmm”. Bieber wen on to later reveal his new haircut on TMZ Live. He told the show that he’d had his hair cut earlier for a music video he’s doing with the group Rascal Flatts.

Bieber had his regular hair doer Rachel do the hair cut. Bieber stated he “wanted to change it up” even though he was nervous at the time as he was hoping for a more mature look.

He actually showed off his new do earlier in February on the covers of such mags as the Hollywood Reporter and Rolling Stone.

Justin Bieber’s controversial comments on abortion have been clarified by Rolling Stone magazine editors who say an error left out part of the quote.
During an interview with Vanessa Grigoriadis, the 16-year-old pop singer spoke bluntly about abortion, sex and homosexuality for an article in the publication’s new issue. Bieber’s lightning rod comments came from a question about where he stands on abortion.

“It’s like killing a baby,” he said.

When asked if he believed in abortion for rape victims, Bieber replied: “I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

The frank comments immediately drew fire. But the Rolling Stone editors say an incomplete quote was used.

“The full quote, his response to whether abortions should be allowed in cases of rape, reads, “Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don’t know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

A new picture has been released by Summit Entertainment from Breaking Dawn, showing a shot from the location of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s honeymoon.

The picture shows a beautiful sandy beach with lanterns arranged as if to guide a pathway down to the sea, where a boat is anchored, waiting. The sky looks grey and foggy, and there are a few plants to be seen to the right hand side of the shot.

The picture was tweeted on Valentines day, along with a message that said “Happy Valentine’s Day from Isle Esme!” The name of the tropical island obviously had something to do with the couple’s choice of name for their daughter, Renesmee. The hybrid offspring of the on (and off) screen couple is played by Mackenzie Foy in part one of the final instalment of the vampire love story.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One is chalked for release on November 18th 2011, starring Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. It will be followed by the final nod to Stephanie Meyer’s cult novels, Breaking Dawn Part Two, on November 16th 2012.

Miley Cyrus, of Disney fame, has announced plans to return to the music business by way of a huge tour in the near future.

The controversial teen star of Hannah Montana has recently taken a break from her career in music to break into Hollywood.

So far she has starred in LOL: Laughing Out Loud alongside Demi Moore, and So Undercover with Kelly Osbourne. Her very first foray into acting away from the Hannah Montana franchise was in 2009’s The Last Song, in which she starred alongside old flame Liam Hensworth.

Cyrus, who has found herself at the center of quite a few sensational headlines in recent months, has confirmed that she is planning on leaving acting behind for the foreseeable future. “No movies lined up. I’m going on tour,” she told E! Online.

We wonder whether her upcoming tour will see the return of a wholesome Miley Cyrus of the Hannah Montana days, or the reveal of the wild girl image that she’s been crafting over the past few months.

Nickelodeon songbird Miranda Cosgrove’s video for ‘Dancing Crazy’ has been released. The vid shows the young singer sneaking out of her house at 11pm to hang out with her friends, singing  ”I like you and you like me/ We get together and we’re happy.”

The track, co-written by pop-rock sensation Avril Lavigne, is from Cosgrove’s upcoming EP, High Maintenance.

It is chalked for release on March 15th in the US. The track was produced by critically acclaimed producer Max Martin, and the album includes a production by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer fame.

It seems that the teen pop sensation has quite a few fans in the music business already, despite the fact that she is “always talking about [our] relationships and stuff”.

The EP follows Cosgrove’s debut album, Sparks Fly, which was released in April of 2010.

The energetic pop-rock album was co-written with Claude Kelly who has written for Britney Spears, and Cosgrove herself co-wrote several songs.

The EP also features video footage of Cosgrove behind the scenes at her album photo shoot, in the recording studio and rehearsing for her tour, which is due to start in Atlanta on February 15th.

Leave it to veteran actor Michael Caine to hit the news for making amorous moves on Vanessa Hudgens.

Hudgens says in the March issue of Details magazine that Caine 77, has been flirting with the actress since they’ve been working on the movie “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”.

Hudgens praises the actor for his talents and enjoys the fun of his playful nature.

Hudgens 22, continues that in some of her scenes where she’s supposed to be seating that Caine assisted by applying oil on her chest and using bottled water Evian by spraying her on parts of her body.

She says that Caine often takes over the job of the makeup artists in order to assist her.

Hudgens who broke up with actor Zack Efron 23, states that the two are still friends and chat now and then. She also talks about her friendly discussions with director Quentin Tarantino.

It’s certain that the romantic leanings and playfulness of Hudgens and Caine will bring about more curiosity toward their movie project and it could lead to more box office power if the public gets teased enough and want to see what all the action is about.

In the wake of his recent film debut, it seems that pop star Justin Bieber also decided that it was time to release a brand new song, in order to keep his fans happy.

The song, called “Dr. Bieber”, takes the teen artist into new territory, as he raps about how he has caused a fever that “spreads across the globe, into every single home, city and country.”

Although the artist had played the song during a soundcheck party, the full studio version was just recently released.

The tiny star raps, “Bieber Fever spreading rapidly and it’s uncurable. I repeat uncurable. I got a PhD, I don’t need a fake ID/ You females know of me, I’m so sick with no IV/ J-U-S-T Bieber Fever on the street, time to realize I’m the beast.” The singer continues on, saying, “This is not a cold, not a flu, not a sickness. This is good and doesn’t hurt to get this. You were never cured and you never will regret this.”

The teen star is currently promoting his new film, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”, as well as getting ready to perform at the Grammy Awards on February 13.

To those of us who have read the Twilight novels, it will come as no surprise that Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, 20, is to become a vampire in the final installment of the cinematic nod to the popular novels by Stephanie Meyer.

Her co-star (and rumored real-life lover) Robert Pattinson has openly praised Stewart’s portrayal of a vampire.

“It’s like she wanted to do it the entire time,” Pattinson said to MTV News “It’s really funny, it’s like a completely different environment on set when she’s a vampire and when she’s not. I think she’s going to do it really well.”

And Pattinson isn’t the only one singing the praises of the young star. Peter Facinelli, who plays Stewart’s adoptive father in the flick, saying “She’s doing really well. She looks fantastic.” He continued, “For some reason, once they put those contact lenses in, [she looks] very statuesque.”

The final part of the vampire franchise, Breaking Dawn, will be released in two parts. Part One will be released on November 18th 2011, while Part Two is chalked for release a year later in November 2012.

Despite previous reports that have said Universal Studios would be looking for a less high profile actress for the part of Snow White in new flick, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman”, it has now been suggested that Kristen Stewart is in the running for the part.

Allegedly, Viggo Mortensen of ‘Lord of the Rings’, has been in talks with producers about playing the lead role of Eric, the huntsman, who is sent by evil queen Ravenna to kill the beautiful Snow White. This could be Kristen’s first starring role after the final ‘Twilight’ film has wrapped. The other actresses up for the part are Saoirse Ronan, Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander, who have all screen-tested for the part.

At present, Kristen Stewart is filming the final installment in the vampire franchise, ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’. The movie will be split into two parts, the first due for release on the 18th November 2010, with the second part to follow in November of 2012. She stars alongside real-life beau Robert Pattinson, as well as Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.
