First of all not even single auto driver in Chennai following the Auto Fare Tariff announced by the Tamilnadu Government in 2013. Around 95% of the autos running in Chennai not installed Tamilnadu Government Electronic Fare Meters. Another important thing day by day auto drivers threatening the passengers with extra-fare. So passengers in Chennai suffered a lot. Some of the auto drivers also behaving like rowdies. So these innocent passengers don't know what to do in those situations? and how to complaint against these rowdy auto drivers. So here is the solution for this never ending problem.

Autos running in Chennai Metropolitan area, keeping in view the above representations and accordingly, the Government direct the State Transport Authority to fix the
rates of fare for contract carriage auto rickshaws plying in Chennai
Metropolitan area as Rs.12/- per Km, the minimum fare as Rs.25/- for the
first 1.8 Kilometers, the waiting charges as Rs.3.50 for every 5 minutes and
the night charges from 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. as 50% etc. of the total fare

How to Give Complaint Against Overcharging Auto Drivers

Here are the steps to follow to lodge a complaint against these arrogant auto drivers.

First of all, before lodging a complaint against any auto driver. First note the Auto Driver Name and the Auto Registration Number clearly (which is behind the auto driver seat) and write down in a piece of paper or save it in your mobile phone and also take a photo of the auto registration number and auto driver face with your cell phone camera. This is very very important because this the right proof to the traffic police suppose if you're ask to come directly for the detailed enquiry. Now starts the complaint process. I will explain you how to do it perfectly.
Remember the minimum charge only Rs.25 that too for 1.8Km. So be aware of that always. If they ask for Rs.30, Rs.40 or Rs.50. Then don't hesitate. Take your cell phone and lodge a complaint immediately and also try to record the auto man speech completely. So that you can show the audio recording to the respective traffic police to get the remedy. This is the only way you can stop those auto drives from over-charging. Otherwise it's very difficult to stop them.

Sree Venkatesa Perumal Temple, Perambur - Introduction

Sree Venkatesa Perumal Temple was built in the area of 10,000 Square Feet., by Sri Ramanuja Bhakatha Jana Sabha and promoted by Sree Venkateswara Trust. This temple was consecrated by His Holiness Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeer Swamigal on 12th June 1992 and was made open to public worship. With the continued support of devotees, a three-tier Rajagopuram has been completed in the year 2003. In addition to this, the Moolasthanam has been renovated by fixing granite slabs. A new "Vaikunta Vasal" has been fixed with moorthies of Dasavatharam on its doors. The temple has been given a face lift with various other additions / alteration works, well suited for the convenience of devotees.

The Second Samprokshanam (Kumbabishekam) was performed in august presence of his holiness Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Sirmannanarayana Ramanuja Jeer Swamigal on 7th April 2003 for the Rajagopuram, Moolasthanam and other vimanams. In the last 22 years, the temple has gained wide popularity all over chennai and thereabouts, because of fullfillment of devotees prayers by the Almighty Sree Venkatesa Perumal. With the support of the devotees and patrons, the temple saw vast improvements. Apart from Sri Venkatesa Perumal Sannadhi, we have sannadis for Sri Padmavathi Thayaar, Sri Andal, Sri Chakkarathazhwar, Yoga Narsimhar, Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Ramanujar and Sri Thirumalai Vinayagar. Northeast monsoon hit the Chennai city on Friday, there was complete chaos in the city.

With unrelenting rain from friday night onwards the roads were soon flooded, leading to traffic pile-ups, and leaving commuters stranded in knee-deep water in several areas.

Though meteorologists described Friday’s rain as possessing all the characteristics of the northeast monsoon, the Regional Meteorological Centre plans to declare the arrival of the monsoon on Saturday. S.B. Thampi, deputy director general of meteorology, said the department would declare the onset after monitoring the persistence of the conditions.

While the rain brought cheer to a city reeling under relatively hot conditions for the time of the year and dipping groundwater levels, the joy lasted only a couple of hours until roads — including key ones like - Perambur High Road, Madhavaram High Road, Patel Road, B.B.Road, Melpatti Ponnappan Street, Paper Mills Road and so on.

Though the city is used to such a situation, the fact that it happened with a few hours of rainfall got residents questioning the role of the civic body.

In the absence of proper rainwater harvesting systems, water from buildings streamed onto already inundated streets. Motorists on arterial roads , including Jawaharlal Nehru Salai, Poonamallee High Road and Rajiv Gandhi Salai, were stranded for long hours in crawling traffic. “Several main roads in Perambur are flooded with knee-deep water. I struggled to repair my car that got stuck on the inundated B.B.Road, near Vysarpadi Railway station.

The meteorological department has forecast that rains will continue on Monday and Tuesday too.

No immediate relief for Jayalalithaa bail plea adjourned to October 7th

BANGALORE: AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa will have to spend at least five days more in jail here as the Karnataka High Court today adjourned to October 7 she pleas seeking immediate bail and challenging her conviction in the disproportionate assets case against her.

As the matter came up before the vacation bench, noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani, counsel for Jayalalithaa, pleaded for suspending the sentence pending appeal under Section 389 of the Criminal Procedure Code and for her release on bond.

Section 389 states that pending any appeal by a convicted person, the Appellate Court may prescribe that the slaying of the judgment of conviction or order appealed against be suspended. Likewise, if the individual is in confinement, that he or she be liberated on bail, or on own bond.

G Bhavani Singh, who was a Special Public Prosecutor in the Special Court in the disproportionate assets case, told the judge that he had not yet received any official notification appointing him as the SPP for the criminal appeal filed in the High Court.

"I read a report appearing on a daily about my appointment as the SPP to handle the case, but I haven't received any official notification appointing me as the SPP," he said this on yesterday. But today he argued in the court that she should not allow to release in bail.

"Since I haven't received the notification, I am not authorized to represent the case," Singh added.

Singh sought more time, at which point the vacation bench judge, Justice Rathnakala posted the matter for hearing on October 7.

In her petitions seeking immediate bail and challenging her sentence, Jayalalithaa has maintained that the charges of amassing wealth against her were untrue and that she had acquired property through legal means.

Jayalalitha has also contended that the trial court has overlooked several judgements and has not considered the binding nature of various income tax orders and decisions of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, which had accepted the income and the level of expenditure pleaded by her.

The pleas of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's aide Sasikala, her relatives V N Sudhakaran, disowned son of the former Chief Minister, and Ilavarasi, who have likewise prompted the High Court seeking bail and challenging their conviction, were also placed for hearing on October 6.il and challenging their conviction, were also posted for hearing on October 6.

In a verdict on Saturday at the end of an 18-year old legal battle, Special Judge John Michael D'Cunha had convicted Jayalalithaa, sentencing her to four years imprisonment, and slapped a staggering fine of Rs 100 crore in the Rs 66.65 crore corruption case.

In her appeal, Jayalalithaa pleaded for suspension of the condemnation and the judgment of conviction and also declined to ante up the Rs 100 crore fine imposed on her.

The hearing came up before the vacation bench as the High Court is on Dasara holidays from September 29 to October 6, now finally this case postponed to October 7th that is after Dasara Vacation holidays.
