"Read More" option: the latest feature from Blogger

This is just a post to test the latest feature from blogger: The "read more" feature, something that has taken blogger a long time to deliver on by itself.

Earlier to this, bloggers had to use hacks developed by ace blogger and amazing coders that are always one step ahead.

I am trying this feature now and as one can see the feature works fantastically. This is where I learnt how to do it: BloggerBuster

In this huge world of templates there are designers, then there are modifiers and then there are genius coders.

Antonio Lupetti of Woork is one such genius who is a master at using various social networks to derive traffic to his blog which in itself is a mine of tutorials.

True to the word genius Antonio changes the design of his blog from time to time and with every change can be witnessed an exquisite touch, such a rarity on the blogosphere and particularly on the blogger platform, that he pulls off stunning designs that would immediately catch one's attention.

The Latest Blogger Template

This shall be my first template recommendation/review. This is kind of ironic because I am upto reviewing a template that I currently use.

Why am I choosing this to be the first Blogger Template I review?

Because the moment I saw it I thought I should have it on this blog(Template Pro). It has got stunning looks and could not think of anything better to start with.

What genre would I put this into?

Obviously, Magazine. Check out the demo site from the author himself. He has employed a judicious mix of pictures that look stunning when published in side-by-side posts which is the latest craze among blogger templates.

The looks ?

The looks are an absolute treat. A very good choice of colors obviously makes pulls up an otherwise bland looking template.

Sidebars, footers etc?

The sidebar I must say is a bit crammed. Too congested and narrow. Could be a problem if you want to write an into about yourself.

Perhaps more could have been done on it. But still we can yield that bit for a great product.

The footer widgets are just as simple as the sidebar. Nothing special. But they do fade into the background when you look at the whole page, which I think is a huge plus.

Widgets and stuff?

Very good. Particularly the entire header frame is widgetised making it more user-friendly to bloggers who would use it. So are the widgets at the bottom of the page. There is loads of stuff that can be added on without much of a hassle.

Drawbacks?

The fonts on the main page should have been better. The current on presents a very clumsy look of whatever little text appears in the already tiny post display box. Same with the sidebars as well.

An overall well thought out template.

Template Pro is created with the specific purpose of it being a template guide for people looking for professional templates.

The publisher of the blog will use various resources available on the internet and showcase to its visitors the best of what is only somebody else's work and in each such case shall publish a deserving link-back to the original author/source of such content used/showcased/discussed on the blog.

However if in any case a deviation from the above policy is noticed please impose it on yourselves to inform the publisher about the same as and when such deviation may be witnessed for a due rectification of what might be a human error.

All other content on the blog that goes without any credit shall be credited to the publisher. Usage of such content is permitted so far long as such contents original source is properly quoted: like a link-back etc.

Why Template Pro?

I must admit that I am not a template modifier or coder but a very huge enthusiast that would get onto the blogs of the most famous of all of those coders to check for the latest designs and developments.

And it has always been a pain to know that there has never been a proper review site or recommendations site for people that are looking for clean designs. For people like me who are not so savvy with the code part of blogging (even now I am grappling with the design for this blog).

There are indeed numerous sites and blogs dedicated to showcase every other template that is churned out of the brains of enthusiastic developers/modifiers but I have never come across any such that would only pick the best of the lot and show us it.

I want this blog to be just that. A guide to show people the best stuff: the most professional looking templates. Hence 'Template Pro'.

Templates, Reviews and ....!

This is only the second post. And I am still thinking on what all to have on the blog. There are going to be many a template suggestions and picks for sure. 'And what else?' has been the question on my mind since the previous post.

One feature I want to do on the blog is to review latest professional Blogger Templates. 'Reviews' because there is no such thing as perfection, if we could allow a few exceptions, but there is always scope for more perfection. What I like may not be liked by others and vice-versa.

I shall try and put forth my views on what is in and what is missing from what could be a great 'Template Pro' recommended Blogger Template. There is always going to be many a near misses for some templates to be a great one. Template Pro shall point that factors our. I couldn't perhaps deal into the coding details for I am only a user and not a creator of the templates but reflect on the necessary ingredients - read looks and features - for every Blogger Template.

Hope this journey would be a fruitful one and we shall all end up finding the best template for ourselves.

Day in and day out we have been witnessing extraordinary efforts being put in by bloggers around the world to create/modify newer templates for Blogger Platform. In the din of it all, one might find it difficult to choose the best template with a professional feel from a bit too many available, like it happens with me all the time. Hence I created this blog to write about such templates that I think deserve to be called a Professional Template.

Only Templates that are a cut above the rest and top notch in design and visual impact shall be featured and the designers celebrated on TemplatePro. Those that would leave a lasting impact on your blog visitors.

I hope to do a good job out of it and I hope Template Pro would be of some use to you in picking up the best template for yourself.
