As we embark upon a new year, with resolutions that are made, are like that of an all excited ‘inflation’ of a balloon, only to pop within the coming weeks leaving your ‘hands open’ and nothing but the remains of an idea that ‘seemed’ good at the time…. you look around to see if anyone saw the balloon in the process of it being inflated and with a swift swipe of the hand you get rid of any remaining evidence and settle comfortably back into the chair that held your impressions from before.

You know THAT chair… the one that gives you want you want rather than what you need, the chair that feeds you social justifications that ‘yeah it’s ok’ everyone else is doing that. However – all that you receive is the same viewing deck that seemingly didn’t serve you last year because if it did you wouldn’t be desperately trying to jump out of it, only to be pulled back in time and time again.

So now that you’re comfortable in your chair…let’s explore beyond this and step into a greater awareness of self and therefore a collective experience for that little step we take in our journey, albeit a baby one at times, it adds up to the bigger picture….the some of the parts that impact the whole – you are the some of the parts….so question is do you like the ripple effect you are having on the whole and do you even turn your attention to how profoundly this does impact…. beyond your immediate experience?

Think of it like this…a pebble is thrown into the water, a once undisturbed surface is now rippling beyond the immediate ‘crash site’ but you only watch it at the moment it lands and then turn away, completely unaware of the impact it’s having beyond your perception of this. This is what happens with your thoughts, your actions, your level of integrity with self and with others, your immediate reactions to situations, people and experiences in your life.

“Are you playing at the surface of the water?”

What if you could turn around and watch this impact over a linear period of time and to see over an entire lifetime that direction has taken a completely different path based on that micro action? Only that in the multidimensional sense – time is not linear, it is an ongoing dance facing back onto us the reflection of what it is we place out into the cosmic landscape, for it to only come back to us in another dimension and form….would you do things differently then? If you knew your choices, actions, thoughts – every little micro one – had an impact on you, the you that is in this realm and the you that is in a parallel reality, impacting the you back here? Still with me?

There is a constant requirement to receive the experiences we ‘need’ in order to assist us in our evolutionary journey, a constant requirement of the essence of truth is to ask self – is this within integrity and in my truth? Where can I improve? And if I fall and slip I know it’s there to remind me just how little I really know.

To remain the everlasting student of life, in humbleness, with kindness and compassion is the key to our time here on this planet, to integrate effectively what we already know in our being and to do it with elegance and grace. To understand that if we buy into ‘gossip, lies and the shadow elements of this society’ we are also representing the collective….one of us go down…we begin to drag others with us. This is a team effort this ‘human’ thing… and the appearance of the illusion of separateness is a well designed visual trick that is a veil just waiting for the inquisitive mind to ‘figure it out’.

So begin by doing a self ‘stocktake’ are you in integrity within your energetic system, do you care enough about your grid system to change your current reality and get off that comfortable chair, rearrange the furniture and heck, even clean out the entire house? Sometimes a good clearing and reflection of your current reality is the thing that is needed for you to step further into your integrity and your truth, sometimes people around you won’t like what you’ve ‘done with the place’ but it is no ones business but yours, as it is not your business what they think or feel about it…that’s there’s.

When you rearrange life because you know that you have some energetic leakage in your temple, it can’t be fixed just by stuffing something in the hole because you’ll just end up with a place – that when the sun is shining – feels nice, but when it rains….oh boy you wish you fixed that hole (and the some of the parts that effect it!).

Know that you are making every decision – not just on your own behalf – but on behalf of the collective…the generational energetic lineages of past, present and future. So watch with a keen eye the energetic grid system you hold and how to keep it lit, for it it will be the very torch that can give you light or shadow…you get to decide which one.

Self love to me is an interesting term that regularly gets taken out of context. It’s like we become kids in a candy shop and our human desires and needs become the most important element. What do I mean by this? Well there is a line between what self love is and being narcissistic. Where we are taught in the ‘modern spiritual bypassing’ to go ‘within’, to love self first.

I agree with this to a level, however, there is a key element in these teachings that are missing. The ingredient of ‘spacial awareness of others and our environment’ otherwise we are a society of people looking within and having no consideration of the outer world because we get so absorbed in our ‘inner-verse’ and forget we are an intricate web of our uni-verse (one verse, one song). We hear the spiritual wankery term of people saying ‘Oh that’s you’re shit, not mine’ We take no responsibility or compassion for others and become just a glorified version of selfishness under the guise of ‘being spiritual’.

What is love?

So before I dive into this, let’s look at love. The term love is another one taken out of context…for example ‘I LOVE chocolate, I LOVE food, I LOVE greens’ then we translate this term into relationships and because it is so trivialised, our expectations meet at this level and become a relationship expectation. Love isn’t about a wanting, needing or desiring. I have the deepest love for some special people in my life but I don’t NEED to be in their company or see them anymore. I know that letting them go with love means it is to love without needing, sitting in that paradox is somewhere a lot of people couldn’t compute, because we are so conditioned to want, to desire and to need.

So the practice begins with finding a space to really understand the term love and what it means to you. Can you practice a love without attachment, for example can you give something to someone without subconsciously looking for a thank you, can you do something for someone without the desire for connection, without the desire to be ‘seen’. Can you practice the art of being non important.

Can you now do this for yourself? How can you find love for yourself – without attachment, to allow yourself, your emotions, your feelings, to flow through you without beating yourself up? Can you care for yourself without asking why you need to do it? Can you listen to what your soul really needs in the silence of your own company? Sometimes when I am sad and I share it with people, I see their human self buying into a story of drama around it, when for me it’s exactly like feeling happy, it is just something that moves through me, we don’t look at someone that is joyful and think ‘oh no, they are happy, I hope that they are ok? I hope nothing is wrong’.

5 Self love tips

So here are 5 tips for you to explore in your self love journey

Your self love isn’t about ‘just’ you…if you find it hard to be kind to yourself, tell yourself you are a representative of the collective ‘feminine’ or ‘masculine’ or both, and know that any choice you make, you also impact the generations of women or men both past and present. You tip the scale of what it means to be love.

Each time you shower when drying parts of your body, tell that part how much you love it and you dry it. Give it compassion and love no matter what your body looks like, smile at it and imagine that part smiling back at you.

Listen to your self talk – what is it saying in each moment, what can you hear? Do you like what you hear? If not, pattern interrupt it with the word ‘change’ and think of something, someone or an experience that makes you smile, replace it with that.

It is by self forgetting the one finds – This is what I mean about getting to caught up in our story….someone, somewhere would want your life (remember that), and then find something kind to do for someone, when you forget about self and think about others this will shift your state of mind.

Love the darkness because it can show you the stars – Whilst the light guides us, it’s just as important to love the darker parts of ourselves, have a conversation with those parts and ask them what job they were doing? Often these parts are there to perceivably protect us, it thinks that it’s doing it’s job by protecting us from pain, harms way or hurt in someway. So instead of disliking these parts of you try and thank them for protecting you and appreciate them. The true power lies in knowing your darkness intimately but deciding not to feed it.

We give. We love. We hurt. We laugh.

This is our human experience.
In a world full of multi dimensional distractions we can lose sight of our inner strength, our inner worth, our inner voice.

Then we begin on an epic journey to find that voice as we begin the dance of polarity between the head and the heart. And often get lost in translation wondering is this the voice of my head or my heart? In the moments of confusion, we must silent the busy mind and realise that the very nature of us even questioning means we are in our head and not our heart. Therefore our heart hasn’t been heard. It is that moment where you say to self ‘you already know the answer’

It’s the one that comes to you within the first milli second of asking that. You know. And yet you still fight it. Because that is the journey that we have towards the complexity of the mind into the simplicity of the heart.

If you hear the answer stand in conviction to that and watch the universe gift you with new doors that are yet to be opened. But they cannot be opened if you’ve still got your shirt caught in the other door.

You either have to rip the shirt to move forward or stay there …stuck with a door you don’t even recognise anymore….you already know the answer. The only person you are trying to fool is yourself. But your heart wins every time. If you honour it….it will honour you. For it is the only thing that will remain loyal to you all your life….so be loyal back and (regardless) if the ripping of that shirt stuck in that door hurts you….you are gifting yourself the ultimate gift. For you and those around you. Even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time.
You know the answer. You know the answer.

Into perceived purpose ….we are born
To dive head first into polarity
We discover the existence of
Our intellectual distractions
To steer us off from that which ‘is’
And yet…we peer around the corner
Seeking that which requires no seeking
To find meaning to that which
Has no capacity to provide translational justice to
The meaning through this conscious simplicity

Our life and our perceived purpose cultivates
In the preordained soil of chaos
Predicated on the supposition
That we steer the natural order
In the illusions of separateness
We are the observatory receivers
Of consciousness experiencing
Through us, for us, to us, collectively
Integrated into one prodigious symbiotic brilliance
And yet….we still search for meaning

To intellectualise our purpose for being here
Distracts us from our ‘being’ here
Our meaning is developed as we develop
To discover who we are and why we are here
Is the interwoven alchemical mixture of self
And yet…. We still search for meaning

Is our ‘meaningful’ search the very thing
That takes us through the vortex
Of the experiencing of this very ‘meaning’ that we seek?
Could it be that not having the answer….is the answer?
Not having the defined meaning….is the meaning?
Once we surrender to the insatiable search
It is then that meaning presents itself
Beyond anything our imagination could hold

She holds within the structure
Of the carved out visceral story
A case of fragility to the myopic eye
Yet the inquisitive sees beyond her veil
To find at the core an indissoluble strength
That gifts her flight with an effortless glide
In the wings that elevate and hold
Within them the rapture of love

The delicate warrior she uses no force
Only light of the ‘Kingdom’ within
Yet in it resides the soldiers
That have withstood a thousand bloody battles
The scars worn below interlaced layers
Yet no trace can be seen upon her face
And the broken skin from the chains
That were worn upon her arms
Show nothing but the stillness
Of inconspicuous droplets
That make up her ocean
That sits within the helm
Of that which is pure love

Within the sophisticated chaos
She stands grounded and unbroken
Within the arms of perceived adversity
It is held in the regal hand of truth
And sits with a deniable raised chin of integrity
Beyond the paradoxical state of it being
Both a blessing and a curse
In her arcane knowing of the universal order
She will lay herself down in surrender
Into the oncoming ‘cosmic’ lessons
In a glorious display of self sacrifice

For it is in the unknown that she knows
It is in the unseen that she sees
It is in the silence that she hears
She sits in the space between the ‘notes’ of life
Often misunderstood and unseen
By the ‘notes’ themselves
She observes from the distance arm of acceptance
In this unified human experience

Her work here is one of love
And her wisdom of antiquity
Allows her to withstand
The storms of ubiquitous time
But not in the bravado of desire
Rather in the silence of her own company
And she knows for every piece of love
That she places delicately upon this path
She receives the equal or greater challenge
Through the rules of polarity

But she never stops believing
In the very thing that brought her here
The core of her essence
To love rather than be loved
This is the road seldom travelled
And is often the loneliest road of all.

In the essence of deliverance
of a soulful embrace
She opens the doors to her heart
But only to a select few
Opening with a cautious optimism
For the fall could be like
the intolerable stir in the cauldron
Of ‘loves’ exquisite alchemy
A place that keeps the seeker intrigued
The wanting of more
In the desire of feeding
That which is never satiated
The recipe built from
Rigid instructions which only
Encourage the wild heart to rebel
To go outside of societal instructions
To create her own
Taste that is ‘out of the ordinary’
She takes a sip from the forbidden cup
In that window of time
That feels like forever
Where the taste hits her palette
In the eager awaiting of future reaction
Where she will either
Smile or frown from the experience
She still finds the willingness to open the doors
And in through vulnerability she falls
Her key is to remember
Who it was she stands for
And her voice that sings
Into her own frequency of truth
She lays her head down
To rest from the experience
As the little girl sits and waits at the end of the bed
Patiently she looks at the door
Each day and night that passes
For she knows that through all the hurt
There will be safe place for her vulnerability to finally rest
And it is then that the little girl
And the woman that she is
Will sleep as one intertwined into
A peaceful slumber where she knows
She is held and in that holding
She sees that it was her that she was waiting for..

As you sit back on your chair
and reflect on your life
Do you like what you created?
Have you being impeccable
with your word?

Being honest with yourself?
Being mindful of every thought?
That adds into the collective
Did you surround yourself
With the true reflection of self?

Did you live with grace and elegance?
Or did you fight it with the glove
Of ego and did it bleed
And heal over or completely
Transform you?

Did you hear your words?
Did you see your actions?
Do you feel your impact?
Are you sitting back at the end of your life
And feeling proud of your ‘being’?

Did you like yourself
When nobody was looking?
Because ultimately that’s the
Only one you end up with
When this experience is over

So always reflect and refine
And learn from mis-takes
Not to be more spiritual
Not to be seen as enlightened or wise

Do it because you care about
Your impact on the collective
And you care about your
Generational representation
That you hand down to our
Next beloved care takers of this planet.

How you show up matters.
You matter
You are the Newtonian
Representation of
Cause and effect
You matter.
