Miranda Lambert, the chart topping country singer, has had a great year in music, attracting fans from outside of her genre for her personality and amazing voice. Her upcoming concert is one of the most popular shows coming to Tallahassee, and if you plan to attend, you’ll want to buy tickets now.

Miranda Lambert will be playing at The Leon County Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola Street, near your apartment at Tenn Street Station. She’ll be joined onstage by Chris Young and Jerrod Nieman to round out the set list and to produce a great show. The concert is set for May and still a few months off, tickets are highly coveted, so it’s important to try to snag them early before they disappear.

If you’re in the mood for some good, clean fun, do yourself a favor and check out Lofty Pursuits. More than just a coffee shop, they have ice cream, candy making, vintage toys, a board game night, and a yo-yo club!
For a relaxed evening out, head down to What? Cafe. You can choose from coffee or espresso, any number of flavored teas (and bubble tea!), a smoothie, or your favorite beer. Get Kids Involved in Tennis with the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger

Get involved with a Tallahassee tennis competition by letting your children volunteer as ball kids.

Have a child that loves the tennis pros that they see on TV? USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger men’s Pro-Circuit tournament is coming up near your apartment at Tenn Street Station, and the tournament is looking for children to take up the post as ball kids.

The tournament is an excellent opportunity for young tennis fans to interact with their favorite sport or for them to earn community service hours for a club. Ball kids will be needed March 31 and April 1 as well as April 2-7 in the after school hours. Volunteer staff will supervise the ball kids, though there is also a need for parent volunteers “to help with the ball kid lounge each day/evening of the tournament.”

Each child participant will help with two 8 hour shifts. For their time and effort they will receive official Challenger hats and t-shirts.

Introducing yourself to your neighbors and getting to know them seems simple, but it can be a tricky process. Luckily, our community is here to help you get to know your apartment neighbors at Tenn Street Station. There are many ways to get to know the people around you, and some are literally right at your fingertips.

Resident events are a great way to meet neighbors, and a fun way to stay engaged in your community. Still, not all of us have time or a flexible schedule that allows us to attend such functions. For the person the go, try our online communities as a way to meet your neighbors. Tenn Street Station is on Facebook and Twitter. We post updates on residents events, so if you can make it to one you’ll be sure to know about it, as well as information on places near your apartment where you could meet people if you’re new to the city. You can also tweet with us or post on our wall to interact with your neighbors and get to know them better.
