Google do surprise us always when it comes to the release of anything new. This time also they didn't make any exceptions. The long waited Android 8.0 Oreo was released on 21st August in New York.
The Android Oreo will first be made available on Pixel and Nexus devices.

Here are the few coolest changes that had been done in the Android O...

1. Picture within Picture:
Multi-tasking will now be even easier with Oreo, as we will now be able to view an image or a video even being in a different screen. Unlike Nougat, we don't need to split the screen, within a small window we can now be able to see image or video, just like we do it in YouTube or VLC.

2. Fixed the Battery Issues:
The Doze Mode released in the Android Marshmallow had improved the battery life compared to it's previous versions. But this change is supposed to be resolve the remaining issues regarding the battery drains in Nougat.

3. Smart Text Selection:
This feature is undoubtedly a great one. On selecting a text, the OS will determine whether it is an address or email or phone number and will prompt options to either view the address in Map, or send mail to the id or call the number.

4. Auto-fill:
So, far we used to see this feature in Chrome, that whenever we fill in a form, Chrome fills the saved email or username or password automatically, now this feature will be available for every form we fill in our device.

5. Setting Menu:
The setting menu that we will gonna see in the new Oreo will be slightly different from that of Nougat devices. The setting options which we use most often will be available in the menu. Also the number of options have been reduced.

6. Notification Dots:
On new notifications for each app, there will be a dot over them, and on tapping them we can get a see a list of options that we may do.

7. Snooze Notification:
When a notification is there and we don't have much time to view it, we can just tap it and snooze the notification for sometime, after which it will again come back.

8. Wifi Aware:
This function works so that devices can communicate when they are close, via Wi-fi aware, without necessarily having to use the internet connection.

9. Rescue Part:
Another new Android 8.0 feature has been announced. Rescue Party will help prevent bootloops, one of the most dreaded mobile phone issues. When core system components are crashing over and over again, Android will notice and take steps to recover the device. As a final resort, it will reboot into Recovery Mode and give the option to factory reset the device. This feature will be enabled by default and doesn't require any special hardware, though it's only for phones running Android Oreo.

10. Adaptive Icons and Emojis:
Now, app icons will change it's shape according to the app developer's UI. It can appear circular or square depending on devices. And one of the new changes is the change in the emojis, which are now more round and gradient.

How to control your android smartphone from your computer?

In some of the previous posts about controlling computers using our smartphones I found many of you asking for the opposite. That is controlling your smartphone using a computer. You can use your laptop's touch pad or mouse to browse your phone or do anything you prefer. Now, if your phone has support for otg cables then you can simply plug in a mouse to your device and do the same. But for the rest, whose devices do not have that support you can try out this handy trick.

Prerequisites

You will need to have a couple of things for this trick to occur. So, make sure you follow all the steps below and install the needed softwares.

1. Download Universal ADB Driver. Click here to download.
2. Install the ADB Driver by double clicking on the .msi file and following the instructions.
3. Install Vysor - Android Control on your android device. It's available in the Google Play Store.
4. Add the Vysor app from Chrome Web Store to your browser. Click here to land on app page.

Enabling USB Debugging

Hope you are done with all the previous steps. Now, you need to enable USB debugging on your device for this to work. So, if you have it enabled already skip to the next section else continue reading.

To enable USB debugging you must have Developer Options enabled in your device. To do it, go to "Settings-About Phone" and tap on "Build Number" seven times continuously. You will get the message that "You are a developer now".

After enabling Developer options open it and scroll down to USB debugging. Turn on the slider and press OK and you will have USB debugging ready.

Action Time!

You are ready now to test it out. Plug in your Android device to the computer using a USB cable. Open Vysor from Chrome Apps. Your phone will be auto detected in the app as shown below.

Click on "View" and accept the access on your phone and you are done. Within a few seconds you will see you phone screen opening in the app.

Now you can control your phone using your laptop's touch pad. I tried to play Temple Run 2 using this(Although I did very bad). So, try it out and let me know your feed backs in the comments below.

How to turn your smartphone into a spy cam using Airdroid?

Well, first of all this is not a prank. It can be done. So, if you have an old smartphone that you barely use or if you just want to try out this trick then this will be a worth read for you. In this tutorial we will be using an application called Airdroid. So, atfirst you will need to install the app on the phone which you wish to turn into a spy cam.

Connecting Device :

First open the app after installing it on your phone.

Now go to the link : web.airdroid.com

Now in the app click the scan button which will open the QR code scanner. Use that scanner to scan the QR code shown in the Airdroid website on your computer screen.

Spy Time :

In a flash you will log in and you can then see everything that's on your phone like music, videos, photos etc. You can also view the contacts and make calls or send messages straight from your computer.

From the menu, just click "Camera" and then the trick begins. You can now view everything on your computer screen that your phone's camera can see. Just walk around and test it out. But make sure you are connected to the internet while you do so. The best option would be to stay connected to any WiFi network for even better performance. When you are done spying you can simply turn it off by closing the window. You would notice one thing that the camera, when opened doesn't show up on your phone screen.

RAM boosters on android are a myth - Reasons why you should not use them

RAM or Random Access Memory is a type of volatile memory that's incredibly fast. This memory is used by the system to store currently used instructions. This memory is automatically cleaned when the system shuts down.

During the early stages when Android came into the market it was very less optimized and had so many issues that consumers used to complain and most of them were regarding RAM management and multitasking failures. So, many developers back then came up with different applications that will kill the on-going tasks and boost the device.

Well, back then those applications proved to be good for the consumers. But over the years Android has developed and grown into a much better optimized operating system. Today's Android is much more different than it was 3-4 years back. It doesn't have any of those optimization problems now and this is the fact which makes those applications out dated.

Windows vs Android RAM Management :

All of us like to have better amount of free RAM on our smart phones as we think that would increase the performance of the device but to be honest for our Android phones that's totally a myth. The source of this myth is our experience with the Windows computers. The RAM management in Windows and Android are completely different.

When using a Windows computer we need to make sure that our system has enough free RAM to keep the applications running smoothly. It's because whenever task requirements are more than available RAM, Windows is forced to use hard drive as virtual memory to support the applications which is much slower compared to RAM.

Android's service handler monitors all these apps and whenever RAM is required for some operation it kills the app with least priority.

So, now you know how both the systems implement RAM. Suppose you have installed any of the automatic task killers or RAM boosters and turned it on. This application would kill all the processes running in the background and many of them are necessary to run your frequently used applications. So, after boosting your device when you try to open those apps, the same files are loaded onto the flash memory back again which makes things bad for both the device and you SD card.

As you would know that Android uses SD card to store basic informations which is a flash memory and the major drawback of this is limited number of write cycles provided by the SD card. So, when you load the apps over and over again it puts a lot of pressure on the card as well and can decrease it's lifespan.

Even the developers of Android claim that when it comes to memory management we should leave it to Android itself as it knows what to do and when to do. How to control your presentations using a smart phone?

Sarah is preparing for a presentation tomorrow and she is trying to find out ways to make it better and stand out from the rest. Unfortunately, she has lost her remote clicker pen to control the presentations without touching her laptop. But, now how would she do that?

Well, Sarah won't have to worry anymore now as there are applications that she can use to control presentation using her smart phone. And that's what I am going to show you all in this tutorial. There's an application provided by Microsoft called "Office Remote" that can be used to control your powerpoint presentations using your phone via bluetooth.

Getting Started

First of all you need to install the app to get started. So, I am listing the links below for different stores depending on which ever operating system you are running on your device.

Office Remote is currently not available on itunes but you can download Microsoft Remote Desktop on your iphone and give it a go. It's equally good.

Lets use it!

So, we are done with all the installations now and it's show time. Turn on bluetooth on your desktop or laptop and pair it with your device.

Now, just open any powerpoint presentation to test it out. If you have correctly installed the plugin mentioned above you should be able to see Office Remote in the menubar of powerpoint as shown below.

If you see that then just click it and "turn on" Office Remote again shown in the left side. If you don't find it then simply reinstall that and restart your pc.

After you have turned it on. Just open the app in your phone and make sure bluetooth is turned on over there. It will show you a list of paired devices to connect to. Choose your pc from that list. Then it will show you the office documents that are currently open in your pc as shown below.

Choose the document from the list and press it to open, When that opens in your phone you will find it opening in your laptop as well. So, projector can project that. You can press those arrows shown above to move over from slide to slide. You can also close the presentation by touching those three dots and then "End Show". There are several other handy functionalities as I have discussed below.

Extra Features - Pro style!

The Pointer :

In the above picture you can see that the preview of the next slide is shown. That itself is a benefit. Now just tap on that next slide preview and drag it towards your current slide and on your pc screen you will see a red pointer. Move you fingers and the pointer will follow you. This feature is handy when you are trying to refer to a specific position of a slide like highlighting some pie charts or something like that.

View All/Jump Slides :

This application not only lets you switch between slides one after the other but you can also view all slides to jump to any particular one if you want. Just touch gallery icon and it will list all the slides in your ppt. From there you can simple touch and open any particular one.

The Timer/End Show/Last Slide :

Presentations can be tricky at times when you have to finish within a specific time limit. Well, now you don't have to calculate time while you are speaking. This app will do that for you. When you start the presentation the timer automatically initiates.

You can also go to the last slide or end the show from the app itself as I have mentioned before.

Now, that's all you need to know about this app for controlling your presentations. By this time some of you might be skeptical about the fact that I only talked about controlling powerpoint presentations, Well, you are right. This app can do a lot more than that. How to remove computer MALWARE using Command Prompt

Are you frustrated with this kind of pop-up error message ,though having antivirus software installed in your PC??A computer virus is basically a malware which can be harmful to your computer by replicating itself and its infective property may damage your boot sector of the hard drive besides data.As example 'Ravmon' , 'New Folder.exe', 'Orkut is banned' etc.This adware or spyware may carry over through USB or Flash drive.

Now, in this case, you must follow the

steps given below to check unwanted files and folder in your Drive and delete it.

**Note that, this trick can also be used to remove unwanted files/folders from your Pen Drive too.

STEP1:If your file is virus infected then opening that file from its location may infect your system hard drive also.So,removing it from Command prompt is a better choice.

Open the command prompt and go to the tainted drive that has the infected file by typing "Drive name with colon"(D:)then press enter.

STEP 2:Now to check the presence of any unusual .exe file,type "attribe -s-h*.*/s/d"without quotation and then press enter.And proceed by typing "dir" which will show you all files/folders in that drive,

**attribe -s-h*.*/s/d -This command mainly contains many kinds of attributes.Are you guys aware of all the attributes of any file/folder?

Read-Only(R): Read-Only attribute will prevent software programs from saving changes to a file.Note that this kind of file will not prevent it from being deleted.
Hidden(H):A file marked with the hidden attribute will be hidden from view under normal viewing conditions.
System(S):A file or directory used exclusively by the operating system which should not be altered or deleted.
Directory(D):This attribute is tagged to folders or subfolders to differentiate them from files.
Archive(A):This bit is used by software applications that modify files as well as backup software as a “communication link”.
Not Content Index(I):Windows has a search function which indexes all the files and directories in the drive in order to achieve faster results.

**To view what attributes are assigned to a file, type the following:

ATTRIB C:\Folder\Filename.ext

STEP3:Now if you want to delete it then just type "RD autorun.info(i.e.name of file/folder to be deleted)" or rename it to delete it manually.(using command prompt if you want to rename the specific file then type rename "Path of files/folders to be deleted"(space)"Name that you want to give" or REN "Name of the files/folders to be deleted"(space)"Name to be given"

EX:rename "autorun.info" "example file.txt"

STEP4:You may delete that file from the directory after renaming it though anti -virus will not detect any malware in that drive now.

Guys ,no doubt this is quite a long process but sometimes this trick may be useful when one of your folders is troublesome by hanging your PC when you open that folder.So deleting those .inf,.exe,.dll,.log extension files you may keep your system as well as pen drive malware free.

Right now, it feels like the world is divided into two groups: those who are playing Pokemon Go, and those who are wondering what on Earth the rest of us are talking about. START OF THE GAME

-Initially three Pokémon will appear in front of you. You can choose from Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle; after capturing one, the other two will disappear.

-However if you walk away from the original three four times, you'll get a fourth starter Pokémon option-Pikachu.

CATCHING A POKEMON

-As you walk along other Pokemon will pop up on your map.

-Tapping zooms in on your avatar launches an augmented reality experience with the Pokémon dancing around amidst your surroundings. If you don't see it on the screen immediately in front of you, move your device around until it appears. There are arrows on the side of the screen to guide you in the right direction.

-Once you've found the Pokémon, it's time to throw a Poké Ball to try and capture it.

-When trying to capture a Pokémon a ring appears around it which if is green is easier to catch, if yellow you have half chance while a red is probably the difficult to catch.

-Some Pokémon may jump out of your Poké Ball after one or two shakes. However you can recapture it by throwing another Poké Ball.

-There is a Nearby Pokémon on the bottom right corner of the screen to see which Pokémon are nearby.

-Special item like Incense, Lure Module can be used to attract Pokémon to your location.

-Pokédex contains complete information on all the species you've already caught.

-Pokémon shows you all the Pokémons that you have caught.

POWER UP AND EVOLVING A POKEMON AND LEVELLING UP THE TRAINER

-You need Stardust to power up your Pokémon which you get from capturing a Pokémon or hatching eggs.

-For evolving you'll need Candy which is specific to a partiular type of Pokémon. You get Candy the same as Stardusts or you can transfer duplicate Pokémon back to Professor Willow in exchange for the candy that helps to evolve Pokémon into their more powerful form.

-Your trainer – the character you play within the game – levels up by earning experience points for everything you do and slowly increasing in levels of experience. Higher the level of your trainer the rarer and more powerful pokémon you can attract and you’ll also get access to better pokéballs

-When you hit level 5 you’ll be able to join one of three local teams and train at their pokémon gym.

BE CAREFUL WHILE HUNTING

-Since walking around with your eyes glued to your phone is a bit of a safety hazard, the game is designed to allow you to keep your eyes free while you wander. You can keep your phone at your side while you walk; when you are near a Pokémon, you'll get a notification in the form of a vibration and (if your sound is turned on) the Pokémon's unique call.

BATTERY

-The app drains your battery very quickly, therefore you cannot play it all day long without any backups.

-It is suggested to close all your other apps and switch on battery saver in Pokémon Go’s settings and switch off AR when catching Pokémon or battling at the gym.

-There is in app purchase options too where you can buy Pokécoins with which you can buy Poké Balls , Incense, Lucky eggs, Lure modules, Egg incubator, Bag upgrade, Pokémon Storage upgrade.

After the launch of Mi 5, the Chinese smartphone company was working on it's successor, the Mi 5s. But, earlier news suggested that this new Xiaomi flagship may come with a dual rear camera. All the rumors was proved to be correct after the latest leak of the device.

This is not all.. the Mi 5s is also going to come with a 6GB RAM with a SnapDragon 820 processor and a 5.5 inch FHD display.
Apart from these the smartphone will also feature a finger-print sensor and a "Force Touch Technology".

Fix - Windows 10 start button not working

Windows 10 surely has brought about a change in the windows industry and it has received a lot of positive feedback from the end-users. But it's still a new operating system and there are lots of bugs in it and today I will try to solve one of those. It was yesterday night when I found out that the windows start button was not functioning and even cortana was not functioning properly. I tried a lot a of things like running back end scripts and all that and nothing worked. Later I did this simple trick that solved my issue and will surely solve your's.

STEP 1 :

First you have to open "System Configuration". Now there are two ways to do so. Check out which one works for you.

1. First press "Windows key + R" to open Run. Then type "msconfig" and press Enter.

2. If your windows key is not working as well then press "Alt + Ctrl + delete" and open Task Manager. Click on "File" and then "Run new task". A prompt will open type "msconfig" in the prompt and press "Enter".

Both the steps will open System Configuration window like this below.

STEP 2 :

Now in the System Configuration window move to the "Boot" tab. Select your windows (If you are running on Virtual Machine) and tick the checkbox for "Safe Boot". Select Manual and press OK.

Now the system might prompt you for a restart. But before doing it read the full article.

STEP 3 :

After restarting your machine you will enter safe boot and a minimal windows will open. There follow the above procedure to again open "System Configuration" and this time just do the opposite by deselecting "Safe boot" check box and press OK.

Though phones vary in quality and features significantly still what everyone desires is to have a good quality picture and in that case everyone trusts their own phone and believe they could have better quality pics using their own phones along with the conception or sometimes misconception that their camera is better :P

Although great photos can be captured anytime and anywhere, it's the images captured during low-light conditions that often turn out to be especially impressive. These images offer a 'soothing' ambience that is often not found in day light shots. However, getting those perfect low light shots is not a cake walk.

Still there are some general tricks – both technical and common sense – you can pick up on to maximize the image quality in low light.This is the main test in which many cameras fail that is getting better quality images in low light

Understanding Exposure:Basic Terminologies

First of all we should understand the two main variables affect exposure (how bright the image appears on your phone) : Shutter Speed and ISO.

The shutter controls how long light hits the sensor. The longer the shutter is open, the brighter an image will be. However, you run the risk of blurring the image due to movement so this should be kept in mind.

The ISO value, on the other hand, determines the sensor’s electronic sensitivity to light. Higher ISOs allows us to brighten an image without changing the shutter speed, but always at the expense of a noisier image

Here are some simple tips that you can follow to get those perfect shots even with or without proper lighting:

1.Go Manual

Use Google device manager to locate your phone

Did you ever think of what will you do if your phone gets lost and you have lot of important information not to be accessed upon by others? Yes, you can lock your sim card and lock your information through app lockers, but what if the lock is hacked? And isn’t it good if you got to know about your lost phone’s location?

For this, Google’s android device manager is of much use. Here we are demonstrating how to set up android device manager for your devices.

Pre-requisites :

1. You device should be signed in to Google with your Gmail account. Generally it requires no further attention, but if you are not signed in, then sign-in now! It will help you immensely.

2. Enable Location access in your device. Use of GPS is not mandatory here.

3. Go to Google Settings > Security and check whether these 2 options are enabled or not :

At least enable Remotely locate this device option to allow Google to access your device.

After checking all of these, open Android device manager in your desktop/laptop from link www.google.com/android/devicemanager

If it asks for password then enter password.

(OR, Type ‘find my phone’ in the address bar of chrome to get it as a result of Google search.

Result is as a form of Google map. For 1^st time, it asks for password.

Its advantage is that once you sign-in for first time then it generally doesn’t ask for password again unless you restart.)

But the interesting fact : The phone rings even if it is in silent/vibrating mode!

2. Now if you find that your phone is truly lost and suspect information hack, then click Set Up Lock & Erase. Okay, if you have the option Allow remote lock and erase option enabled then jump to next step, otherwise a notification will be sent to activate remote lock and reset.

Then the dialogue box changes to :

Set a password for the device for unlock.
Or, you can allow it to erase all the data in the device. And if your device is offline on that moment, then it will perform the job when the device is online.

**If someone intentionally keeps on altering or deleting files on the Windows Installation Drive(generally Local Disk C:)and causes instability.The elegant way to prevent this is to hide the drive.

So,guys,It is a straightforward method to disable the display of local and network drives.So,based on circumstances you may apply specific or all hard drive hide method by following underneath steps.

Here,we are showing 4 processes to safeguard your confidential documents.

1.Hide drive using DISK MANAGEMENT:

STEP 1:In Windows 8/10,You may go to "This PC" or "My Computer" and make a right click to select "Manage" option then Computer management console box opens and double click on "Storage option".Now do the double click on "disk management snap-in" to pop up your all drives.

** You may use a run command(WINDOWS+R) "diskmgmt.msc" without quotes in the text box and the Windows 8 Disk Management will start right away.

STEP 2:Choose the specific drive that contains your confidential data from the Disk Management console and right-click on it and pick out 'Change letter and paths' and click on remove button.

It may ask for some confirmation then just click on 'YES' and now you may feel free about all your sensitive data.

2.Hide drive using GROUP POLICY:

STEP 1:Open the run window by pressing Windows+R and type "gpedit.msc" or search under settings by typing "group policy" and then select "Edit group policy" from search results to open the local group policy editor.

STEP 2:Search for "File Explorer" folder.

For the easy appliance,the navigation path is given below.

User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/File Explorer

STEP 3:Locate and access the settings named "Hide these specified drives from My Computer" and double-tap on it to open the console box.

STEP 4:Select the specific drive from option bar and check the "enabled" box and click on 'OK'.

For example,if you select Restrict C drive icon only from option bar,the C drive icon will be hidden from your computer and File explorer also.
**If you disable this option and select "Do not restrict all drives",the hidden drive will be shown again under "My Computer".
**There is also 'HELP' option to guide you all through this process.

3.Hide drive using Windows Registry:

**AS in this case you are changing to your windows registry,so,it is better to keep backup of your registry before proceed forward.

STEP 1:Open run command box (Windows key+R) and type 'regedit' and type Enter to open Registry Editor Console and follow the below path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE –> Software –> Microsoft –> Windows –> CurrentVersion ->Explorer

STEP 2:Now right click on Explorer pane and choose New->DWORD Value(32-bit)/DWORD(64- Bit) as per your processor specification and name it "No Drives"

**It is case sensitive.

STEP 3: Now modify "No Drives" value as per your necessity.Moreover, the value may be Decimal or Hexadecimal.Below the drive value list is given.

A: 1, B: 2, C: 4, D: 8, E: 16, F: 32, G: 64, H: 128, I: 256, J: 512, K: 1024, L: 2048, M: 4096, N: 8192, O: 16384, P: 32768, Q: 65536, R: 131072, S: 262144, T: 524288, U: 1048576, V: 2097152, W: 4194304, X: 8388608, Y: 16777216, Z: 33554432, All: 67108863

Now,you may choose more than one drive to hide.Say ,for example,'D' and 'E',you type '24',then you will be able to hide both drives.

STEP 4:Now restart your computer and you will not find your hidden drive.

**If you wish to get back your deleted drive then delete the 'No Drives' register key.

4.Hide drive using CMD:

STEP 1: Press Windows+R and then type cmd and command prompt appear. Then type"DISKPART" and a new window may appear.

**This may be not applicable for some Windows versions.

STEP 2: Now type "List Volume" and press Enter.A list will appear.

STEP 3: Now remember the volume letter or number which you want to hide and type "SELECT VOLUME number or letter".

STEP 4:Type "REMOVE LETTER C"(here I want to hide the Local C: drive) and now press Windows+E or open My computer to check whether it is hidden or not.

**The hidden drive become visible again"ASSIGN LETTER letter of hidden drive".

So,Now you can safeguard your personal confidential document by hiding the specific drive and you may unhide this hidden drive also by above explained easy measures.

How to Edit the hosts file?

Hosts files can only be modified by administrator of the computer. So, if you are the administrator simply open any editor, such as notepad in Administrator mode(Right click on notepad and click "Run As Administrator").

Now, navigate to the location of the "hosts" file as given below and open it in the editor.

After modification in the hosts file, simply save it by Clicking "File->Save". Now, that you know how to modify the hosts file, I will start showing you a few tricks you can do using it.

Block any website you want

This is the simplest trick to try using the hosts file. You can block any website you want by mapping your local computer's ip to the url of that website. So, that no one using your machine can access that particular website.

Open the hosts file as said in the previous section and then type the following line similar to the picture below.

127.0.0.1 example.com

Change "example.com" with the url of the website and save it. Remember one thing that if someone type "www.example.com" then they will be able to open the website. So, in that case you have to add the same line of code for all of them like this :

127.0.0.1 example.com
127.0.0.1 www.example.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.example.com

Redirect Websites

You can also redirect one website to another one. As an example, when you type "facebook.com" then you are redirected to Facebook's webpage but using this trick you can direct "facebook.com" to Twitter's webpage. All, you need is the ip address of the destination website.

In this trick, I am redirecting google.com to Bing's webpage. So, open command prompt and type the following and then press Enter.

ping bing.com

You will be seeing ping statistics and a few more info. After bing.com the ip address of the website will be visible. Copy it. Here the ip address is : 204.79.197.200

Now, open hosts file similarly and then add the following line in a new line and save it.

204.79.197.200 google.com

Now, try opening google.com and you will be redirected to bing.

Create Website Shortcuts

This trick is similar to the last one. Here you can make any word or letter or string redirected to any particular website. So, get the ip address of the website similarly and then add the following line :

204.79.197.200 billgates

Now, whenever you type "billgates" in your browser and press enter you be redirected to bing.

First Developer Preview of Android N is out now with support for multi-window

Google has announced the first Developer Preview of the next version of Android, named Android N (for now). Till now Google has only announced the new version of its Android at its annual I/O conference and at that time only they released the preview version for developers. But this time they are releasing it early (or in Google's own word "really early") so that by releasing a “work in progress” build earlier in development, they would have more time to incorporate developer feedback. Also this earlier preview would allow google to "hand off the final N release to device makers this summer, so they can get their hands on the latest version of Android earlier than ever."

Here are the new features which are included in the Android N Developer Preview:

Multi-window:

One of the much awaited feature was multi-window, which allows users to run two apps at the same time. Developers who want to incorporate split-window into their apps would first need to change the value of a new manifest attribute called android:resizableActivity to true. Once this is done their apps could be launched in multi-window mode. They would also be able to specify a minimum allowable dimension for their apps, preventing users from making the window smaller than that size. Note that, multi-window is available to all forms of devices out in the market - phone, tablets as well as TVs. In TVs developers would also get a picture-in-picture mode..

Direct reply from notifications:

In Android N you would be able to reply to incoming messages directly from the notification. Note that, it uses the same API as in Android Wear, so developers would not need to make any changes in the codes of their apps which were already available for Android Wear.

Bundled Notifications

Developers can now group notification from the same app (like individual messages from a messaging app) together.Users would be able to expand the notifications into individual notifications by using a two-finger gesture or tapping the new expansion button.

Improved Doze Mode, Project Svelte and support for Java 8 language

Doze mode was launched in Android Marshmallow for saving battery when the device is stationary. In Android N, the Doze mode doesn't require the device to be stationary for a while to work. It can even work when the screen turns off.

Also Google announced to invest in Project Svelte - which is an effort to reduce memory needs of Android so that it can run on more broader range of devices, even low-end hardware.

Along with this Google is also bringing the Java 8 language features to Android with N. You can use them with Android's Jack compiler.

Getting Started:

You can download the factory images of Android N Developer Preview by heading to the Android Developers website. The Android N Developer Preview is only available for Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Nexus 9, and Pixel C devices.

Note that this initial preview release is for developers only and not intended for daily use or consumer use as their are some known issues. Google says that "as it will go closer to a final product, it’ll be inviting consumers to try it out as well."

Android Beta

Google is also making it more easier for you to try out N on your devices with the new Android Beta Program. You can update your Android devices to the developer preview of N and receive ongoing updates via OTA just by visiting g.co/androidbeta. There you would be asked to first sign up using your gmail account and then your eligible devices would be shown. Then you can select the device you want to enroll and after that within 24 hours you'll receive OTA notification on your phone.

You may also opt-out of the program at any time to return to the stable, last official public version of Android. Note that, if you opt-out when your device is running a beta version of Android, all user data on the device will be wiped.

Samsung Unveils the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in India Starting at INR 48,900

Samsung has launched its 2016 flagship, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge in India, at an event in New Delhi earlier today.

The Galaxy S7 comes with a 5.1-inch, 2560 X 1440 pixel Super AMOLED display with 577 ppi. Its dimensions are 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm and weighs in at 152g. Whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a much bigger 5.5-inch display, curved on both sides. Its body measures 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7mm and weighs in at 157g.

Moving to the specs department, both will come powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC or Samsung's own Exynos 8890 and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. Both comes in two variants, 32GB and 64GB, expandable with microSD card up to 200GB. The Snapdragon model comes with Adreno 530 GPU whereas the Exynos model comes with Mali T880 MP12 GPU.

The camera department comprises of a 12MP, f/1.7 sensor with smart OIS and a new Dual Pixel technology, which allows for some clever ambiguity of its large sensor pixels and makes for amazing low-light performance and blazing fast autofocus speed. The front camera is a 5MP, f/1.7 one.

The Galaxy S7 is run by a 3,000 mAh battery whereas the S7 Edge has a much bigger 3,600 mAh battery. Both the devices supports wired and Wireless Fast Charging (WPC and PMA standards).

Other connectivity features includes dual-band WI-Fi ac, MIMO, Bluetooth v4.2, ANT+ and support for both NFC and MST and payment systems that rely on them.

Both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Samsung's own TouchWiz UI. The Galaxy S7 Edge comes with an improved Edge Apps platform consisting of a lot wider physical area and thus offering more info at a glance.

Lastly, both the devices comes with an IP68 rating, i.e., both are completely waterproof.

Now, as for the price in India, Samsung has launched the 32GB dual SIM variant with the Exynos 8890 chipset. The Galaxy S7 is priced at INR 48,900 and the Galaxy S7 Edge at INR 56,900. Pre-bookings for both start from today until March 17. For all those who pre-book Samsung is providing them a free Gear VR with their purchase.

Ubisoft releases The Division's launch trailer

While the game is scheduled to release on March 8th this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC(Windows), its beta version for Xbox One was released on February 18th and for PlayStation 4 and Windows, it was released on February 19th.
