			<title>EXHIBITION Frei Otto. Thinking by Modeling</title>

			<description>The exhibition aims at introducing new perspectives on the work of Frei Otto as well as formulating present-day questions concerning the future of our built environment involving architecture, technology, sustainability and society.

Frei Otto (1925-2015) is among the most internationally celebrated and innovative German architects of the 20th century and is a central figure in building the culture in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. In March of last year, he received the Nobel Prize for Architecture, the Pritzker Prize, for his work, which is the most highly recognized award for architecture in the world. On the occasion of this honour, the �S�dwestdeutsches Archiv f�r Architektur und Ingenieurbau� (saai) and the W�stenrot Foundation are planning the biggest exhibition to date of the work of Frei Otto in cooperation with the ZKM.

			<title>ANNOUNCEMENT RUBBER DESIGN COMPETITION</title>

			<description>The Rubber Design Competition will be a contest of ideas, open to students, researchers and professionals from the world of architecture, design and engineering and aims to stimulate ideas for new applications of elastomers in different fields. Specifically, The Competition aims to find the most impressive ideas relating to the range of products which can be feasibly made, in addition to proposals for optimising and improving current rubber-sheet production processes with a view to creating new lines of products. 
The Competition is being promoted by Tovo Gomma S.p.A together with support from the interdepartmental laboratory TEXTILES HUB at Politecnico di Milano. 
The initiative is being sponsored by the European association for the development of membrane structures (TensiNet), the Italian Society of Architectural Technology (SITdA), the Industrial Association of Brescia (AIB) and the Building Technologists Italian Association (ATE).
The registration period for the Competition will close at 00:00 on 30 September 2016.
