Beyonce is pregnant — no secret there anymore — thanks to her baby bump début at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. But what the audience and viewers may not have seen was her husband, Jay-Z, playing the ultimate father-to-be during the couple’s adorable backstage moments.

Us Weekly got the behind-the-scenes scoop from an eyewitness who confirmed, “Jay was doting on her the whole time… He was really taking care of her, asking her how she feels and helping her walk. It was so sweet to see him like that.”

Indeed, the music mogul puts up a tough rap star exterior at times, but it looks like even Jay-Z has a softer side, which his wife’s pregnancy is no doubt bringing to the fore. Of course, he still finds his Grammy-winning songstress plenty sultry, and he didn’t have any problem making that known to everyone at the VMAs backstage, yelling, “Mmm hmmm, Who’s that sexy lady walking down here?”

It wasn’t only Jay-Z showering attention on Beyonce, though. Her mom, Tina Knowles, was “getting her everything she needed,” too. The insider even revealed that the pregnant singer had attention coming in from plenty of other celeb friends, such as the hardcore Kanye West who “looked like a proud uncle.” Quite a different persona than that which manifested itself during his and Jay-Z’s onstage rap performance during the VMAs.

Even Jo Calderone himself, ahem, Lady Gaga herself paid a special visit (or three, or five!) to Beyonce’s dressing room where she stopped by frequently to rub her belly.

And, all those baby bump rubs must have brought Beyonce and Gaga good luck, as they both rocked out their respective performances during the show. They certainly created epic moments (and plenty of Twitter chatter and hashtags galore) at this year’s VMAs. Jo Calderone and a pregnant Beyonce: What a match!

According to a report published today on Boy Genius Report, Apple’s major US carrier partner AT&T is getting its staff prepped for the release of the next iPhone handset, expected sometime in mid-September. The report cites a ‘proven source’ that claims that AT&T’s retail arm has been communicating with its legions of employees, telling them to “finish training in order to have employees available for the influx of foot traffic expected in September.”

While this report is simply another rumor, there’s little doubt in anyone’s mind at this point that September will bring some sort of new or updated iPhone handset; it’s even possible that Apple will completely revamp its lineup and launch more than one new iPhone. The BGR report claims that Apple will announce the next iPhone sometime in late August, and then handset will then go on sale in early September. The site has a decent track record in regards to Apple and iPhone related rumors, and has numerous contacts deep in the wireless industry.

The BGR report coincides with the release of further speculation on the launch date from MacRumors, which recently stated that Apple has started contacting some of its former retail employees to see if they will return to work part-time between mid-August and mid-September. Since this timeframe also happens to be the lucrative ‘back to school’ retail extravaganza, it’s possible that Apple just wants its stores fully staffed to avoid any sales or service issues. However, it’s also possible that this is in preparation for the flood of customers expected with the launch of the next iPhone.

Most sources to date have placed the highly-anticipated iPhone 5 launch as occurring sometime this fall, ushered in with the launch of iOS 5, the newest version of the operating system powering the iPhone and iPad. Apple further hinted at this on their 2^nd quarter earnings call last week, with CFO Peter Oppenheimer stating that Apple will have a “future product transition” that will “have a material impact on the September quarter”.

At this point, it appears to be all-systems-go for the next iPhone to hit shortly. Recent reports have claimed that Apple’s supply chain and manufacturing partners have all been preparing for production of the next iPhone, and while today’s report claims a mid-September launch window, rumors have speculated that the iPhone 5 could launch anytime from the end of August through the end of October. Regardless of when it comes, there’s little doubt that the handset will be a huge blockbuster for Apple.

Some reports have claimed that the next-generation iPhone will be both lighter in weight and sport a thinner profile than the iPhone 4, and perhaps will feature an upgraded rear camera, and possibly a larger display. The Wall Street Journal claims that the iPhone will contain new wireless chipsets manufactured by Qualcomm, which may make a single iPhone 5 handset compatible with GSM and CDMA networks around the world.

As for Apple, the company didn’t comment on the latest report, and has kept mum in regards to the next iPhone handset. Those in Cupertino did state that the company plans on manufacturing upwards of 25 million handsets through the end of 2011; to get this many out the door, the handset will need to launch within the next couple of months. For now, it’s simply a game of ‘wait and see’.

After toying with her brother’s guitar, Winehouse received her first guitar when she was 13, and began writing music a year later. She began working soon after, including as a showbiz journalist for the World Entertainment News Network, in addition to singing with local group the Bolsha Band. Beese told HitQuarters that he felt the reason behind the excitement over an artist who was an atypical pop star for the time was due to a backlash against reality TV music shows with audiences becoming starved for genuine young talent.

Winehouse’s greatest love was 1960s girl groups. Her stylist Alex Foden borrowed her “instantly recognisable” beehive hairdo (a weave) and she borrowed her Cleopatra makeup from The Ronettes. Her imitation was so successful, the Village Voice reports: “Ronnie Spector—who, it could be argued, all but invented Winehouse’s style in the first place when she took the stage at the Brooklyn Fox Theater with her fellow Ronettes more than 40 years ago—was so taken aback at a picture of Winehouse in the New York Post that she exclaimed, “I don’t know her, I never met her, and when I saw that pic, I thought, ‘That’s me!’ But then I found out, no, it’s Amy! The Championships, Wimbledon, or simply Wimbledon (20 June – 3 July in 2011), is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, considered by many to be the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in the London suburb of Wimbledonsince 1877. The lawns at the ground were arranged so that the principal court was located in the middle with the others arranged around it; hence the title ‘Centre Court’, which was retained when the Club moved in 1922 to the present site in Church Road, although not a true description of its location. As with the other three Grand Slam events, Wimbledon was contested by top-ranked amateur players until the advent of the open era in tennis in 1968. No British man has won the singles event at Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936 and no British woman has won the Ladies Singles sinceVirginia Wade in 1977, although Annabel Croft and Laura Robson won the Girls’ Championship in 1984 and 2008, respectively. The Championship was first televised in 1937.

Wimbledon is widely considered to be the premier tennis tournament in the world and the priority of The All England Lawn Tennis Club, which hosts The Championships, is to maintain its leadership into the 21st century. To that end a long-term plan was unveiled in 1993, intended to improve the quality of the event for spectators, players, officials and neighbours.

Stage one of the plan was completed for the 1997 championships and involved building in Aorangi Park the new No. 1 Court, a broadcast centre, two extra grass courts and a tunnel under the hill linking Church Road and Somerset Road.
