I'm in full blown party planning mode right now for this little dude's 2nd birthday. Between the party and our upcoming trip, work, and day to day stuff it doesn't leave much time!!!

We got his birthday shirt in the mail yesterday. Mary Kate did a fabulous job! I have several friends that do monogramming and I like to support all of them :-)

I'm really enjoying wearing scarves this winter....it's hard for me to even say winter. What winter??? We haven't had one! And thanks to several Pinterest tutorials I've discovered how to wear them several ways.

I received my first My Glam Bag. I liked it a lot. I don't think it has as many name brand products as Birchbox has, but I really liked it this month! The cute little heart bag was perfect for February and my favorite item was the sparkle shadow.

So excited about the three day weekend ahead.....I need it so badly!

Okay I have LOTS of favorites every week!

It's hard to narrow it down because I like so many things :-)

I love Milo Paper. They make the most adorable family calendars. You can get a weekly or monthly one. All you need is a dry erase marker and it's easy to clean and stick on your fridge. Lord knows I need some organization in my life. I love the style and color I picked out.... GREEN!

She also designs the cutest stationary as well. Check out Connor's cards :

I saw this at the grocery store the other day. I just about fell over. DARK CHOCOLATE MOCHA WHIPPED CREAM??? It's from a company called Blosm and they have several other flavors as well.

My favorite nail polish all fall and winter is this $1.99 NYC gray. It will work great for spring/summer as well and it was so cheap and doesn't chip! Sometimes cheaper is better!

And last but not least my head is spinning with ideas for this kiddo's 2nd birthday party coming up. It's my one time a year to party plan and let my creative juices flow! Since he'll probably be my only baby boo I'm trying to convince Daddy that its worth every penny and we should celebrate his birthday the best we can....yes we have a budget, but thanks to Pinterest I've been going a little CRAZY! Ha ha!

I plan on making his cake and doing most of the decor myself. So hopefully I can get it all done for around $100-$200 and we are not going to have food this year. Just cake/hot chocolate bar/ and favors :-)

I was thinking of letting the kids fill a bag with cocoa and all the toppings then taking it home. Or should I just let them drink it and top it off there? Thoughts???

Well yesterday was pretty much the worst Valentines day....

Connor threw up yesterday morning from congestion a few times...like I said...on the carpet

I got a speeding ticket on my way to work in a school zone. (To my defense I WAS NOT IN THE SCHOOL ZONE YET...I drove by again this morning just to double check and I wasn't in the school zone....) I was going 35. Coming down a hill and yes, I would have slowed down in the school zone. When the officer pulled me over I counted not one, but three motorcycles in front of us with cars pulled over!!! AND-he did a freaking U-turn in the middle of traffic going the opposite direction just to pull me over??? Is that even legal? Of course I cried like a baby...what the heck is wrong with me??? There are worse things in life.....

Connor and Terence are both sickies. I swear I watched Terence go through an entire box of tissues on the sofa last night.

We were supposed to meet with our attorney yesterday to finalize our will. I left work early only to get caught up in traffic on the freeway for 45 minutes due to an accidents and two lanes being closed down...we missed our appointment and now have to reschedule.

On a brighter note. We switched cable companies and are getting three months of free premium channels. We started watching Homeland last night and I LOVE IT. I don't miss Jack Bauer and 24 so much now???

In other news:

Thank you for all the compliments on my top yesterday. I ordered it from a store called Tobi. When I ordered it was 30% off. I absolutely love it! On the website it's classified as a "dress". Ahhaaaahhh!!! Well it is a dress if you weigh 90 pounds...but as you can see on me it's a shirt. I have a size large & wore it sort of bloused over and it works just fine for me ;) I think it runs small though.....

I made my Valentines a heart pizza last night....

I have a prayer request. My cousin Adam pictured below with his beautiful baby girl Claire.

Cassidy, his wife delivered the baby and had a amniotic fluid embolism. I believe she has been in a coma...that's the last I heard. I think she is improving but has a long road ahead. This condition is very rare and can be fatal. I can't imagine giving birth to my child and never waking up to hold them or see their face. Please pray for healing and strength for the family right now. I know prayer works wonders!!!

My heart is just aching for them.....

Also- My sister in law Kim wrote a book called "Hopper the Lonely Frog" and it's available for FREE download right now on Amazon!!! I'm so proud of her :-)

It's a great book for children and I'm sure she would be thrilled if you read her first book!

We are planning a low key night at home and I am going to make my boys dinner. I still haven't watched Smash from last night either. We had a rough morning. Everyone has been stopped up and Connor threw up a few times on my carpet....it's always on the carpet. Sigh......

I'm so behind these days.....They are from Tiny Prints & they always do a great job!

We met up with my good friend Karen and her two kiddos at the mall on Saturday. It was so good to see her because we don't get together often enough. With all our kiddos now it's hard to wrangle everyone! But she understands my crazy self and I love her :-)

We'll have to get together again before the kids hit highschool Karen <3

Working Moms Connect

Today is Working Moms Connect on Kellys Korner Blog.

I really like to meet and connect with other Moms who work outside the home. Sometimes I feel like I am the only working Mama on the planet and everyone else has the luxury of staying at home.

I know that's not true though!

Everyone does the best they can for their families and I'm doing what is best for mine.

I love my job and the Lord has blessed me with a job I really enjoy going to each day. I have made lots of friends and I like having the social interaction. I work 8-5 at a bank and I've been here for about 4 1/2 years now. I love it!

The best part is the end of each day. I look forward to picking up my boy and seeing his smiley face when he sees me walk through the door. "Mama Mama!!!"

We also are blessed that my mother/father/sister in law watch Connor each day and it's family. I know he's building great relationships with family members and he loves spending each day with his BFF Ellie (my niece).

DFW traffic is awful. I have to say it's something I dread every.single.day. But again- it's just something you get used to and it becomes day to day life. Sometimes we have meltdowns in the car. I do the best I can without my head popping off! Ha ha!

I've found that the classical music station is very relaxing and also calms Connor down.

I also always carry cookies and crackers in the car so he has something to munch on.

As you all know if you read my blog.....I am a crack addict. AKA=Starbucks addict.

I know this is a horrible, expensive habit. But it gets me through my day and I adore the new Valentines day cups that just came out! Cute eh???

Mama needs coffee to function. DAILY.

I've almost thought about changing my blog name to "Java Mama"

Thoughts????

My computer at work....a constant reminder of how my booger has grown. I adore him.

God has blessed me in so many ways. A question I often get : "Don't you feel like you are missing out on things with Connor?" I don't feel like I am missing out, I feel like I treasure our time that much more. I'm able to contribute to our family finances and I feel good about that. We don't have to live paycheck to paycheck and can take vacations and contribute to a savings account. I know that what I am doing now will effect our future later on. And Connor boy always knows I am his Mama and I love him no matter what!

I was in a baking mood last night and wanted to use the new mini heart sprinkles I bought.

Right now I really like The Small Things Blog for hair tutorials. She has great hairstyles and tips. Now if only she would come style my hair every day???

Right now because it's cold outside I'm liking hats as well. I usually find them at end of season sales. AND- they are great when you are having a bad hair day!

Last night Connor boy and I were on our own.

Terence had a work meeting about an hour away and didn't get in until late.

So I made Connor a grilled cheese and gave him a bath.

My sister called while I was giving him a bath....meanwhile I handed Connor a purple fizzy tablet to turn his bath water purple. Fun right?

Wrong. He stuck it in his mouth!

Here I was just chatting it up and then turned around and he was spewing purple everywhere! Of course I freaked and then dropped my BRAND.NEW.PHONE. in the bathtub. Waaaaaaah!!!

I started drenching Connor in water and pouring it down his throat to try to get the bath tablet out. I patted him on the back several times and he finally got it out and threw up a few times. I think he's fine now but it sure did scare me!

My phone sat in a bowl of rice last night and seems to be working fine today, but dang it can I not handle one night alone????

We had a good night after all that drama.

I threw the rest of these bad boys away. I don't blame him. They look like candy don't they?

Terence brought me home a Godiva cheesecake and that made me feel better!

Guess what I had for breakfast???

We were at Buy Buy Baby the other night and Connor just went bonkers over this truck....

Super Bowl 2012

Last night my friend Kindra and her fiance Clint came over to watch the Super Bowl. Kindra and I are always trying to get our guys to do stuff :P We also work together, but don't get much time to have fun and chit chat at work so it's nice to get together on the weekends and hang out :-)

So here is our Super Bowl re-cap:

We decided to make dips for our little get together. Kindra made dill dip. I made some cheese/bean dip and a red velvet cheese ball. OMG the red velvet cheese ball was so good and SO easy to make!

I thought there were a few good commercials. I liked the car commercial with the hot woman in it and the nerdy guy. It was some foreign car commercial??? I also thought Madonna did pretty good. I mean she's in her 50's people....I can't even move like that! I don't really care for her, but whatever.

We also played around with my wide angle lens yesterday....it makes you look silly!!! LOL!

I love this kid with all my heart. I can't believe in less than a month he'll be two! Wahhhhhh!!!!

It's back to work today and my eyeballs are about to fall out from staring at the computer....I'm going to have to start wearing my glasses more.

Fly Away with me!

Terence and I worked our last day at the stock show yesterday. After we were finished his parents dropped Connor off to us so we could show him the animals. There weren't many left because the sales were the day before. We did see some cows and horses up close and Connor got to ride his first official fair ride :-)

And they're off!

His facial expressions were hilarious I don't think he knew quite what to think of the cows and horses in real life.

We had a blast and now it's time to make some party food for the Super Bowl!!!

I'm linking up with Aly today and all her buds. I like this product of the week link up because it's a good way to discover things you would have never known about before!

I was talking with Aly awhile back and she asked me how I did my "POOF" in my hair-do. I use Got-2-B Powder-ful. It's great stuff!!! I use it every day and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE IT!

It tames all the fly aways and really gives your hair volume. It looks like dandruff going on...but just comb through your hair and it goes away. I talked about it more in this post.

Also- This pic is really delayed...but I forgot to share it from way back in December....

Terence and I got to meet Lyle Lovett at the Celebrity Cutting event in Fort Worth. It's always so much fun! I think this was our fourth year to attend?

It's for a great cause, if you've never been and you live in the area you should definitely plan to go next year!

And let me just say Lyle was SO nice! Just a genuinely nice guy & has a great voice :-)

Gettin Crafty Wit It

I'm not the craftiest person on the planet. We saw these car prints at Pottery Barn Kids for a bazillion dollars and I was like "I could make that!" Proceeded by that is "CRAZY" to pay that much for those!!!

I mean it's just cars cut out of construction paper right?

So last night Connor and I got our crafty noodle on. I cut and he played with his crayons.

He then moved to the tile floor when I left the room....naughty naughty!

I'm certainly not a fashionista. I love tunics right now. Mostly because they hide my rolls and muffin top. I particularly love this one because it's my favorite color green :-)

You have to be careful with tunics though because they can give you that "tent" effect. Ha ha!

My new shoes from Zulily. It's not just for children's stuff ya'll!

I swear I paid like $12 bucks for these shoes and I LOVE THEM!
