So, I am one of those people who loves to hate black Friday. However, I do see it as an opportunity to get some awesome deals and try to make it a day of shopping with my mom and son. Honestly, I get a kick out of "people watching" on this day of craziness, and try to take it in with a grain of salt. The past few years there haven't been any killer deals I really needed to get on black Friday, but this year I am going early to score a new Cricut Expression for myself. Seriously. Check it out: Wal-Mart (which I avoid like the plague, but am going to brave it for this one day!) has 4 different colors for the Expression (black, red, blue and GREEN), and it is on sale for $188. They also have some great deals on Cricut Cartridges, too. It is not "my" color of green, but my original plan was finding the regular white one for a decent price anyhow. The green is just a bonus. ;) Wish me luck! Thanks to www.blackfriday.org you can check out all the leaked ads now, so you can plan your crazy shopping day,...

After my ranting yesterday the school finally called it an official snow day for today! Trevor thought he may actually have the day off as well, but no such luck. Here's a photo of Bay just after he got out of school yesterday... under a huge pine tree covered with snow! It just kept snowing throughout the evening... and it started back up again a few minutes ago. SO, for Sharyn who commented yesterday, "WHY am I coming to Denver?": Because it is absolutely gorgeous here. The days we have snow it actually melts pretty fast, and there is rarely a day without the sun shining. There is so much to do here... especially IN the snow. ;) Promise. Off to get some work done and figure out how we'll spend the day. I don't think I am going to drive anywhere, but maybe we'll go out and enjoy the white stuff while it lasts!
