The Nang Dork Mai Prai Deva is a powerful attraction magic spirit who dwells within the fertility aspect of all flowering vegetation. Its spirit is the magical force of attraction, which causes all fertility instincts – from the pollen to the bee – to be attracted.
Her powers are invoked within the sacred Prai Maha Sanaeh Laluay powders, which are formed into an enchantment locket. The magic power of this amulet is further enhanced with a bottle of prai oil from the rare glandular secretions of a civet cat, which is inserted into the sacred prai powder base.

Thailand Amulets Newsletter for April takes a look at the latest amulets added during March, and April 2013, with some news of the arrival of the Long Awaited Jao Sua Sethee Yai‘s arrival, after a long delayed wait.

The new series of Master Class Amulets from Luang Por Jerd of Suan Badibat Tam Po Sethee in Nakorn Pathom is as impressive as the last edition of lockets, Taw Waes Suwan and Wua Tanu amulets, which also featured the amazing insertion of 108 Takrut, 56 Takrut, or 28 Takrut spells within a Muan Sarn base of Ya Wasana Jinda Manee paste.

Above; Pra Jao Sua Sethee Yai – Nuea Pong Wan Pasom Ya Wasana Jinda Manee with 28 solid silver Takrut Pra Putta Jao (28 syllables of the heart mantra of the 28 Buddhas). Three different ‘Pim’ (models) were issued in Sacred Powders, featuring 28 Takrut Pra Putta Jao, 56 Takrut pra Puttakun, or 108 Takrut Pra Radtana Dtrai. All 3 models have a Takrut Hua Jai Sethee Yai Millionaire spell inserted.

This edition from Luang Por Jerd follows this formula and presents us with the largest Jumbo size Jao Sua amulets we have ever seen. The ‘Rian Jao Sua Sethee Yai’ Ongk Kroo Jumbo Masterpiece amulets are made in a vast array of models in differing Sacred Metals Sacred Powders. The rear faces have a Pra Sethee Navagote Buddha as a Loi Ongk statuette holding a sacred rice grain inserted, and a mass of 108 Takrut inserted, along with other Sacred Muan Sarn ingredients.

Above; The Pra Sethee Navagote - also released as a Loi Ongk Statuette Amulet in this same edition.

There were also some standard size ‘Jao Sua Boran Baeb Mee Huang’ ancient style amulets made without Ya Wasana Jinda Manee filling on rear face, and inscribed Yantra on the metal rear face instead, without Takrut inserts. These versions were made with the olden days style metal hoop ring attached to them.

The Jao Sua Sethee Yai Multimillionaire Edition is extra special in both its Sacred Powder versions and the Metallic versions, for their ingredients. The Sacred Powder models are made from the finest Ya Wasana Jinda Manee Powders from the lineage of Luang Phu Bun, Perm, Juea, and Sanya (Kong) of Wat Klang Bang Gaew, the best and most powerful Ya Wasana Jinda Manee in existence. As for the Metallic versions, its Chanuan Muan Sarn content, for Luang Por Jerd has been keeping remnants of previous editions of Jao Sua amulets right back to the very first edition, and has used them in the making of the Sacred Alchemical Chanuan Muan Sarn Alloys to smelt the Jao Sua Amulets with. This is yet another Master Class series of amulets from Luang Por Jerd which we are proud to offer to our esteemed clients and friends.

We recommend this series in the same way that we recommended the Serp Dtamnan Luang Por Noi edition from this Great Master. It can be seen that the Thai Amulet community and the Buddhist devoteee in Thailand is recognizing the merits of Luang Por Jerd ever more, and his amulets are now amongst the most highly collected and fast depleting of all modern Buddhist Guru Monk amulets. A great Master of diligent practice, quality made amulets, Sacred Chanuan Muan Sarn, and on the Ongk Kroo versions, Hand inscription during the ceremony by Luang Por Jerd, writing Khom Agkhara around the edges of the metal Jumbo Ongk Kroo Jao Sua Amulets.

The standard size models had no Sacred Powder filling or Takrut but had Inscriptions on the rear face, and an olden says style pendant hoop attached as one piece.

The first edition of python takruts of Luang Phu In was released in 2552 BE, and due to the immense demand of his looksit (devotees), the first batch soon ran out of stock completely. Since this left many of Luang Phu In’s followers empty handed, three years later a second edition of these extraodinary takruts was released in 2554 BE. Soon after the second edition was released, many stories of success were reported by people who had a takrut ngu hlueam of Luang Phu In in their possession. Thus, in 2555 BE, a third edition of the famous takrut ngu hlueam came out. The magical effects of the third edition seem highly similar to the previous two editions; the takruts turn out to be highly effective and very useful for gambling and lottery play, but just as well as for business purposes, and even as a love charm.

Just like the 2552 BE and 2554 BE editions, the 2555 BE edition python takrut has a double layered leaden scroll spell rolled up inside a piece of genuine python skin. This python skin is inscribed with Angkhara Khom characters resembling Khmer magical spells, and also contains incantations of the kata ’Akarn 32′, and ‘Taat 4′ reanimator spell. And, of course, the takrut is immersed in a highly concentrated dose of prai oils, and then sealed in a plastic waterproof case. The mixture of prai oils used for this particular edition makes the takrut even more powerful due to the high concentration of hluem chae nam man prai, which functions as a potentially strong charm oil.

Hence, the takrut immersed in powerful prai oil, emanates positive vibrations of metta, which naturally give rise to people’s interest in your presence. This also has to do with the natural magical qualities that are attributed to the python, for it is said that the skin of a python is endowed with aspects of metta mahaniyom and maha sanaeh magic. Yet it also includes klaew klaad evasion magic, since the slippery skin makes it hard for its opponent to keep hold of the python in a fight, whilst the python can also slip through the grip of its opponent, and can thus easily escape any counter attack. Furthermore, the snake’s scales form an armoured element for a bulletproof and pierce proof skin, which thus demonstrates the qualities of kong grapan magic inherent within the python’s skin. Moreover, the python skin wrapped around Luang Phu In’s takrut protects the wearer from poisonous animals, insects, evil spirits, and black magic.

If one was to name which amulet Luang Phu In is most famous for, it would be rather difficult to choose between three or four different types of wicha Luang Phu In has mastered. Mainly because he has indeed proved himself to be a great master of many different wicha, including the paetch payatorn, khun phaen, palad khik hua chamot, hun payont, kumarn tong, and many other amulets. Though when talking about Luang Phu In’s best amulets, one should not forget to mention his magical attraction oil, i.e. his famous prai oil. But it can perhaps be said that Luang Phu In’s rarest and most sought after amulet is possibly the takrut ngu hlueam (python takrut). The main reason for this is probably the fact that this particular takrut is endowed with many different powers, and is also popular for its success with gamblers, love seekers, salesmen, and even with those who face danger and need protection, such as victims of black magic. However, the takrut ngu hlueam is most of all one of the preferred magical tools of the professional gambler.

Each takrut differs slightly due to hand inscription.

Look krok prai perm sap is made for increasing wealth and treasured possessions, gambling and flourishing commerce. These sacred powder amulets and bucha images took the world of kumarn tong collectors and devotees by storm in 2012, and were received with great popularity.

The look krok is made from a very highly concentrated muan sarn composed of prai oils, bone powders and funeral ashes, sorcerous earths and magical herbal ingredients.

108 cemeteries have provided 108 sources of sorcerous powders with nine kumarn from nine provinces who were nine years old. Earths from the traditional necromantic wicha were of course also included such as seven earths from seven ports, seven salt licks, and earth from the sump of the funeral pyre with the fats of the corpse.

The most powerful herbal prai ingredients were ground up and added including wan kumarn tong, wan sanaeh jantr, and the rare and powerful gambler’s favorite magical herb wan udom choke.

Use for beseeching luck in lottery, commerce and sales, metta from superiors, success, love and attraction to watch over and protect the household, gambling and most other wishes.

Like all prai spirit deities, to worship a look krok will bring great luck and fortune to its owner, increasing wealth, and causing income and treasures to flow in from all around. Gambling is much more of a cinch with the help of the look krok, and travelling is blessed with the safety given by the look krok’s kong grapan and klaew klaad power.

The look krok will warn both of forthcoming dangers and of coming luck. When luck is about to have a burst or a lucky streak, you will notice people showing much more attention than even usually, and a lot of friendly approaches in a short time. This is the time to lay your bet. The way of worship is similar to that for kumarn tong, hun payont, mae hong prai, mae takian and most other prai spirit deities as far as offerings are concerned, but the kata is personalized, as is usually the case with each different type of prai deity.

Blessing of the look krok

The invocation of the prai deva spirits and empowerment of this 2555 BE Wai Kroo edition was performed with Pra Ajarn Somchart presiding and performing the opening and entrance to the cemetery for the ritual incantations to be performed. He conversed with the guardian deities of the cemetery, and asked for permission from the Sarn Dtaa Yaay shrine of the local ghosts.

Next, the ‘Piti Buang Suang Plii Phaa Hor Rang Prai’ was performed. This is a ritual for the removal of wrapping and binding of corpses. The prai spirits inside prai necromantic kumarn, look krok and other effigies, are often bound using corpse cloth or cords, colored daay akom threads, colored pha sam see/jet see bucha ribbons, or other simliar sorcerous binding materials, depending on the wicha.

The look krok amulets, bucha images and pha yant cloths were then made and empowered using the montr wicha yant dhamma dhatu ruu maha gamnerd. This empowerment was performed for one whole traimas (‘trimester’, a three months period during the rainy retreats where the monks stay in their temples and spend the nights practicing and empowering their amulets).

A final empowerment was given to the whole edition, before they were released to leave the temple for distribution. The look krok recieved a final individual blessing with hand inscription from Pra Ajarn Somchart.

Pra Ajarn Somchart’s look krok bucha statues and prai look krok powder amulets of this edition are now approaching the status of legendary, and received massive interest from foreign shores such as Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore.

The head of the look krok has some prai oil and wax with a piece of bone inserted.

Takrut See Gler Nuea Dtagua Ud Pong Prai Kumarn, See Pheung Luang Phu Tim, Tian Chai – Nuea Dtagua – leaden yantra foil takrut filled with sacred pong prai kumarn powders, see pheung of Luang Phu Tim, and sealed with tian chai victory candle wax.

The takrut see gler means ‘four comrades takrut‘. It is a very old school wicha that was highly favored by the masters of olden times, as a klaew klaad pong gan pai (protect from, and evade all dangers) amulet.

It uses four lines of kata incantations, whose syllables form a magic square written around a Buddha yantra on leaden foil, which was then filled with sacred powders of Luang Por Sakorn, those of his mentor Luang Phu Tim of Wat Laharn Rai, and a mass of sacred powders of the most rare and sought after varieties from the great masters.

If you have to challenge or defend yourself, wear it on the front, if you must flee or hide, wear it on the back. To approach high ranking officials wear it on the right side, and to charm the opposite (or same) sex, for romance and social preference, wear it on the left side.

The takrut is essentially therefore, a similar wicha to that of the takrut Maha Ruud (‘sliding takrut‘) for the ability to change the purpose or targeted goal of the magic by sliding the takrut around from front to back and side to side around a waist cord.

The takrut should be encased either in cord wrapping, with hoops, or in a stainless steel or acrylic waterproof casing, which have stainless steel rings to attach the takrut to a waist cord as a pendant.

Before wearing each day, chant the Maha Namasakara three times and then chant the kata for the takrut, holding the takrut between the palms of your hand, raised to your forehead between the brows:

Then chant three times, and blow on the takrut, making your wishes, and wear it according to your chosen purpose.
Size: 47.3 x 51.9 centimeters

From the Wat Hongsa Radtaram 2555 BE ‘Somdej Prajao Taksin Maharach’ edition amulets, we chose the pha yant Hemaracha Himapant animal yantra cloth from Wat Hongsa Radtanaram for its great beauty and the fact that it is a very rare image to come across in such a high quality format. The sacred blessing ceremony was also very impressive with a large number of important masters present to bless the amulets.

Released in the 2555 BE ‘Somdej Pra Jao Taksin Maharaj Run Mee Chay 1′ edition

This edition featured a series of ‘Somdej Pra Jao Taksin Maharaj’ coins and powder amulets in various versions, and this pha yant. The funds of this edition went for the building of a four storey school building for monks to study Dhamma in, which costs sixty million baht (about two million dollars). nineteen gaeji ajarn guru monks joined hands to bless this edition and help raise these funds.

The level of detail is incredible when we take a close up look at some of the smaller details contained within the grand plan of the design, such as the miniature hongsa head that protrudes from, and decorates the belly of the Hemaracha. The number of tones and color shades is well above that which has ever been seen before in yantra cloth printing.

Released in a series of Taw Waes Suwan amulets made in various sacred and precious metals, blessed and empowered by the great Luang Por Foo. Luang Por Foo is one of Thailand’s Top 5 living masters for the empowerment of Taw Waes Suwan.

This edition arose because of a good deed of Luang Por Foo; one day some people brought a small boy who was behaving very insanely as if possessed by a demon or ghost, and presented him to Luang Por Foo. Luang Por then placed a Taw Waes Suwan amulet on a chain around the boy’s neck. The family then went home, and it appears that the boy was instantly and completely healed. He could sit and talk normally as before. Because of this, the local devotees heard of the story, and flocked to the temple to beg Luang Por for a new edition.

The edition was thus made from public demand. Funds from this edition go to the various projects for the preservation and spreading of Buddhism, and to maintain Buddhist temples in need of restoration. Each different type of model in different metals has an official numbered code stamp and a recorded number of amulets made in official documentation, rendering this as yet another reference standard edition from Luang Por Foo to add to his documented catalog of amulets. The edition also celebrated Luang Por Foo’s 90th year of life.

‘Gae pi chong’, the name of this edition, means to rectify the karmic and lucky influences of the yearly horoscope for those who have pi chong. Pi chong is the year when one’s starsign falls into inauspicious influences and bad luck sets in, obstacles arise, and money becomes scarce.

Luang Por Foo performed the pouring of the sacred metals in the official casting ceremony (‘Piti Tae Tong Nam Rerk’) and performed his incantations and special blessings during the ceremony, which consisted of nine chor trees of amulets, with 900+ amulets on them, for the special blessing of the ‘Nam Rerk’ ongk kroo special masterpiece versions. He then stuffed muan sarn powders into them during the ceremony (the other models were done before the ceremony). Luang Por then inserted a solid gold takrut spell into the muan sarn powders within the ongk kroo versions.

Pra Ajarn Hnong performed the inspection and counting of the amulets after their final insertion of takrut. Not many amulets were possible to fill with powders, because the powders were a special sacred powder kept from the 2538 BE ceremony (17 years before the release of this edition). So there were less amulets in final release as originally intended.

These amulets also enjoy the addition of special powders from the great Luang Por Ding, and very sacred metal alloys cast from a mass of important sacred amulets of past editions and masters, real solid silver and solid gold takrut, and a highly sacred Putta Pisek / Taewa Pisek empowerment ceremony. These varied elements provide this edition with a highly respectable status, top quality design and casting, and powerful Buddha magic within them.

The Putta Pisek / Taewa Pisek blessing was held on the 14th of October 2555 BE. Luang Por Foo performed the lighting of the tian chai victory candle, and the pouring of the first casting. In addition to the amulets, a 15 inch high bucha statue was also released in this edition.

Luang Por said afterwards, that it has been many years since he has attained such a powerful and accomplished invocation and insertion of the heart mantra and mind of the Taw Waes Suwan asura deva into the amulets. He says it is the first time he has managed to make all the powerful lineage aspects of the ritual empowerments be performed to their fullest, be it the use of muan sarn powders of his lineage masters, the yantra within the takrut, the casting and blessing ceremony, and the necessary requirements for the making of the sacred metals. All facets of the wicha were performed according how the ancient wicha dictates.

The amulets come encased with special decorative casing, ready for wear and bucha.

Luang Por Foo’s mastery of the wicha ’Suun Phii Lai Phii’, and his adept control of the kata ’Pra Jao Sip Hok Pra Ongk’ (16 Buddhas invocation) is legendary. He is the most prominent disciple of the great Luang Por Ding of Wat Bang Wua. He has mastered the methods of empowerment and invocation to imbue amulets with the mental powers and qualities of the asura deva king Lord Waes Suwan.

His importance and connection with this kind of Buddha magic is so great, that he was begged to preside over last year’s great classic edition of Taw Waes Suwan statues in the ‘Tri Plab Pela’ (three legged Taw Waes Suwan) series. These statues are considered to be the next greatly admired edition by future generations, comparable to the most famous of all; the Wat Sutat Taw Waes Suwan amulet of Jao Khun Sonti.

Taw Waes Suwan is the lord and master of all monsters (asura and yaksa), demons and ghosts. The wealthy king is a millionaire of great status, the wealths of all the four asura kings of the ‘Jadtu Maha Rachiga’ celestial heaven. He commands and forbids the demons to stay away from his devotees, and those who are devotees of the Lord Buddha. He is the lord who brought the yaksa minions to hear the Dhamma sermons of Lord Buddha, and who converted the yaksa (or at least most of them) into devotees and followers of the Buddha.

Taw Waes Suwan also donated the magical incantation of the Aadtaanaadtiya Paritta to the bhikkhus (monks) in the forest, to protect them from demons and maras. The incantation of the kata forbids any demons or ghosts or malevolent presences from entering and bothering, and commands them to take their leave.

Luang Por Foo has released various editions of Taw Waes Suwan amulets over the years, along with his other famous wicha of the ‘Ling Jab Hlak’ / Hanuman amulet. His amulets have received constant interest and documentation by the collectors and expert amulet community, and are now published in their own books as documentations of his trajectory and amulet editions.

This is always a sign that a monk’s amulets are to become eternal collectible classics of high repute. This is because, apart from miracles occurring, the one other thing that makes an edition famous and collectible (and sometimes expensive), is whether the amulet has easy to find information about the making and various models, and identification marks, or not.

This is the final edition ever of Luang Por Goy’s now three time world famous ‘Kumarn Gao Gote’ amulets, using the sacred prai powders and ashes of nine kumarn and kumaree. This edition is even more highly awaited and fast in depletion than the previous editions, due to the fact that it is the last ever edition which will be made using this muan sarn sacred powder, which is now completely depleted and no more available for further amulets to be made.

The first and second editions of Kumarn Gao Gote had such success with devotees that the first is now not only many times more the price than its original price, but is also in any case almost impossible to get hold of one, for they are all jealously guarded by their owners, who do not wish to resell them, due to their tried and tested effectiveness. The second edition has now become a source of fanatical collectorship since the issue of the third and final edition. The wicha ’Kumarn Gao Gote’ got the attention of Thai devotees many years ago as Luang Por Chern of Wat Ta Ee made some Kumarn Gao Gote, and the looksit received many successful results. This caused this particular wicha to become immensely popular as a good bet for successful results.

Luang Por Goy channeled his jhanic forces into the amulets using his best metta mahaniyom, maha sanaeh and maha piswaas magic to give the final edge to the amulets and lend them the extra power to assert their magic over any obstacles. This makes the amulets useful sorcery for everything from charming your mate in life to gambling, recieving mercy from superiors or in legal affairs, stop backstabbers by converting their hate into compassion, enchant others with convincing charming speech, and to increase popularity and promote professional and social status with the mercy charm within the amulets as an aid to smooth out the wrinkles in one’s life.

The amulets were made in small portable, medium, large, and large golden bucha size for use when out and about, or for use as a bucha statue at home.

The large size bucha has three Kumarn Tong Gao Gote loi ongk statuettes inserted into the base. The large size version was accompanied by a special golden ongk kroo version which was the flagship model with nine kumarn inserted into the base. The ongk kroo was covered in gold leaf to distinguish not only its richer mixture of muan sarn powders, but also to make it easy to distinguish visually, and increase its sacred power with the gold leaf bucha blessings made upon its surface. Hence, the ongk kroo special large bucha statue is the sure collectors classic, with the fastest and highest speculative rise in chollateral value in relation to the passage of time.

The medium and small size versions have a Kumarn Gao Gote metallic loi ongk statuette inserted into the base. The tiny statuette is made from sacred metals resulting from the smelting together of the first and second edition of Kumarn Gao Gote amulets and muan sarn. In addition, the third edition metallic loi ongk statuettes were also smelted into the alchemical alloy, to make it not singly, not doubly, but triple strength. The small portable version has chanuan muan sarn in it; the medium size bucha has one Kumarn Tong Gao Gote in the base; the large bucha has three Kumarn Gao Gote inserted to the base; and in the ongk kroo large bucha there are nine Kumarn Kao Gote inserted.

Muan Sarn

Nine gote (‘gosa’: pot for keeping cremation bones in; and ‘godha’: ten millions of gold) with bones from nine different children who have died in various circumstances (all circumstances fulfilling the necessary prerequisites to be prai spirits) were used to make sacred powders. This is the proper Khmer formula for this wicha. The first pot contained the bones of Nong Fon of Gumwabee who died by drowning. The second pot contained the bones of Nong Boy of Ban Pher, who was killed by a motor vehicle crashing into him. The third pot contained the bones of Nong Fai, also of Ban Pher, who died of a lung infection. The fourth pot contained the bones of Nong Hying of Ban Pher, who died of valvular heart disease. The fifth pot contained the bones of Nong Khing of Hnong Haan town, who died of malaria (Dengue Fever). The sixth pot contained the bones of Nong Maew of Paen village, who died of dysentery. The seventh pot contained bones from Nong Ham Noi, who died of pneumonia. The eighth pot contained the bones of Nong Supa of Paen village, who died of German measles. The ninth and final pot contained the bones of Nong Marie of Paen village, who died of epilepsy.

Above: first edition blessing ceremony 2552 BE

All of these prai muan sarn ingredients used in the first edition were donated to Luang Por Goy by the lay master Ajarn Gam Chai, who must be thanked along with the spirits of the nine kumarn who have made merit renouncing their mortal remains for the benefit of helping those who are still living, with metta magic.

Muan Sarn Kumarn Gao Gote of Wat Beung Gao

The muan sarn for the second edition released at Wat Beung Gao, was made from nine bone pots in the same fashion:

The first pot contained the bones of Nong Cha Dam Yen of Ban Pher village, who committed suicide due to depression. The second pot contained the bones of Nong Ja of Ban Pher village, who was run over by a motor car and died. The third pot contained the bones of Nong Tree of Ban Pher village, who died from ascites. The fourth pot contained the bones of Nong Fon of Ban Pher village who died by drowning. The fifth pot contained the bones of Nong Koi of Ban Hnong Haan village, who died of epilepsy. The sixth pot contained the bones of Nong May of Hnong Haan village, who died of a lung infection. The seventh pot contained the bones of Nong Tern of Ban Hnong Haan village, who died of electrocution. The eighth pot contained the bones of Nong Gaem of Paen village, who died of Dengue fever. The ninth pot contained the bones of Nong Pimdta of Paen village, who died of asthma.

These muan sarn ingredients were also donated by the lay master Ajarn Gam Chai, who wished to donate them to Luang Por Goy in order to increase his own merits and to make merit for the spirits of the dead kumarn in the pots, so that they can rise up to higher levels of the celestial realms in their next incarnations.

The third edition used the muan sarn from the first two editions, adding even more of the last bone powders of the Kumarn and Kumaree Gao Gote to render this third and final edition the most concentrated edition of all, with 27 gote being the final number. The third edition is distinguished by the gold leaf covering on the faces, and is considered the maximum power of all three editions due to it being 9 x 9 x 9 from the 27 ghodas of prai kumarn bones.

Luang Por Goy’s powerful sacred powder is visibly that which we have come to recognize as the Kumarn Gao Gote muan sarn, and recognizable as that used in the previous editions. This is truly a sign of constancy and true wicha to see the muan sarn of the amulets emerge with such similarity in consistency, aroma and texture, that the composition is rigidly adherent to the strict magical formulas of ancient Khmer necromantic sorcery.
