Flickr photo web service pro

Just signed up for a Flickr Pro account. Flickr has a calendar feature: here's Dog News' calendar It's kinda sparse, unlike Paolo Valdemarin's calendar. [Paolo Valdemarin: Paolo's Weblog] (blame it on the dogs; they are high maintenance.... )

I think the best feature of Flickr is its effortless sharing of photos by topic and its automated output of those topics in rss. Here's an rss feed for dog

Justin Pfister offers a free google news rss service available: Google rss news feeds Try it out; here's one for 'animal shelters'. (you need an rss reader; some browsers automagically allow you to read rss.) I thanked him for the service and bemoaned the fact that Google News doesn't provide an rss google news service natively, like Yahoo does. He responded:

'It is too bad Google [News] hasn't given us the option to generate RSS feeds like Yahoo [News] does. I hope efforts like this will let them see that they need to do it...'

(Hint: if you are a commercial site, consider using a free Yahoo News feed! for your customers... )

My Yahoo rss reader

I've used Yahoo for web mail service for years and ignored its other features.Yahoo also delivers a very addictive personal news aggregation service which will serve up all your news feeds, rss feeds and web stuff, all in one place, customized your way.

While Yahoo was polishing off the ultimate personal web organizer, I've been doing it all the hard way: hopping from one place to another for news via Radioland, FeedDemon, del.icio.us, Spurl, Flickr, Google...

Now that I have my personal Yahoo, I can add some feeds, read 'em, and have time to walk the dogs... amazing...

For webauthoring, FeedBurner does it all. With Feedburner, I spliced together my Flickr feed, de.licio.us bookmarks, and Radioland Dog News rss feed...
