In many cases peewee sports are the happiest time in a child’s life. This is because peewee sports are all about having fun. There’s no business, no strain, just complete and unconditional fun. There isn’t even any work involved, because at a young age running around and playing with friends is just something kids can do for hours. Again as kids, it’s all fun and games – and the main reason playing makes us so happy is because “we don’t know any better.” Our hearts pure, innocent so all we can see is what makes us feels good. There’s no...

I read an article the other day that said there are two types of entrepreneurs in the business world, base-hitters and homerun sluggers. If you know a little bit about baseball, you know that base-hitters are supposed to do exactly that – get on base. Their sole purpose is to get on base by any means necessary. Homerun sluggers are supposed to drive everyone in front of them home. Hit the homerun so all the base-hitters can stroll on in to home plate. They live and die by swinging or the fence. So in thinking about myself I have determined...

So we submitted a video to Oprah for an opportunity to have our own show on her new network. Late last night we surpassed the 10,000+ votes after four days. We are very excited about this because it is one step closer to our goal of 1 million votes. Social media has been a major factor in our marketing success for this campaign as we have be using as aggressive strategy via Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Myspace. The most difficult part is most likely getting people to vote more than once. The natural reaction is to vote one time but...

The great Oprah Winfrey is doing it again. She is helping people in the world live their dreams!! She is going after the next big TV star American Idol style. There are open auditions and online voting to find out who in the world deserves to have their own television show. Ironically for me, having my own TV show would be a dream come true. So yesterday I decided to join the hunt and submitted a video online on oprah.com. Instead of just talking about myself, I decided to give a quick example of what my show would be like....

Our body talks to us, we just have to listen.” My friend calls...

My company is going through a business model transition and ‘brand’ Darius is beginning to take off via speaking engagements. In most cases I think the most productive thing to do would be to go back to sleep. (Sometimes I even do that) Point is we all need to map out our days. Now I’m not a big fan of “To Do Lists”...

Remember the old kinder garden saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”? Let’s explore the meaning of this statement a little bit. When kids say this what they actually mean is that no matter what you ‘say’ you cannot hurt their feelings. Now this was cool when we were too young to know any better but the older you get, the more you realize words hurt. What people say about us does matter. In fact, your reputation has so much value that it not only defines who you are but it alone can...
