Murphy was earlier chosen as the host of the upcoming event by the former Oscar producer Brett Ratner. But in a recent incident when Ratner had passed some inappropriate comments on gay men, the producer resigned as the producer.

Oscar president Tom Sherak accepted the resignation of Brett saying that it is good for him as well as the Academy Awards. Meanwhile the 63 year old actor has been assigned the job as he has earlier done it nine times and the latest one was in the year 2004.

Sherak had expressed that it is good to have the actor back to where he belongs and also called him a comic legend and the Oscar icon. After the resignation of Brett, the Oscar winning producer, Brian Grazer, who is also a frequent collaborator of director Ron Howard has stepped in as the producer of the Oscars. The latest Academy Awards was hosted by the actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco.

The TV presenter added that he had spent wonderful 6 years on the show which had made him a star across the Atlantic over the years. Last year Piers had also stepped down from ‘Britian’s Got Talent’ due to his commitments to the US.

While talking about the reason Piers had said that it was becoming difficult for him to keep switching between the shows and so now he has decided to concentrate only on CNN. Last year, the TV presenter had got in to a show with the CNN which was earlier done by the TV veteran Larry King.

Morgan had thanked Fremantle, NBC and also his close friend Simon Cowell. He had specially thanked Cowell to give hi the opportunity to judge the popular show. Piers is now the next prospective candidate to host the Oscars after actor Eddie Murphy had stepped down from the job. Morgan also become popular after winning ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’.

The film maker had apologized to use the word ‘fag’ at an event that had taken place in Hollywood on 4th November. The remarks made by the film maker had made a huge fuss among the internet users, who had opined that Ratner is a wrong man.

On the other hand the president of the Academy Awards Tom Sherak had said that Ratner is a good man but the comments made by him were not at all acceptable. Sherak had also added that the resignation of Ratner was good for the academy as well as for himself.

The film maker was named as the Oscar producer in the month of August along with the TV veteran Don Mischer. Ratner had issued an open letter, in which he had explained the reason of his resignation. In the letter Brett had mentioned that being asked to be the producer of the Academy was the proudest moment but this is even more painful moment for him.

During the conviction, the doctor was seen sitting silently on his seat and was taken out of the court in handcuffs. Many family members of the singer were present at the court when the conviction was announced.

Sister LaToya, parents and brothers Jermaine and Randy were also present at the court room. Murray has been taken in to custody till 29th November till the final sentence.

After the conviction the whole courtroom had erupted including the number of fans outside the court room who had held the posters of ‘guilty’ and ‘killer’. Earlier Murray had broken down in the court room, when he had heard an evidence from an ex-patient. Mother of the singer Katherine Jackson had said that she was overjoyed and even sister LaToya had said that Michael was looking for this for a long time and that she had also felt the presence of her brother in the court room. Murray can face imprisonment up to four years and also cancellation of his medical license.

Earlier, certain reports were doing the rounds which had said that the singer was suffering from bladder cancer and this was confirmed by the 83 year old singer in a statement. Andy had also conveyed the news to his fans on Saturday in a concert in Branson, Missouri.

Williams while talking to the crowd had said that this isn’t a death sentence and that many people with cancer have dealt with it successfully. The singer assured that he would be one of the successful people to survive the cancer.

The ‘All For The Hall’ concert was supposed to be a fund raising event which benefits the Country Music Hall Of Fame, but now the event has been reschedule along with the other cancelled appearances. The 44 year old singer has said that before he undergoes the surgery he would be fulfilling the one-song performance commitments.

Urban will be performing at the Country Music Association Awards on 9th November 2011. Earlier, British singer Adele too underwent a throat surgery and John Mayer too went through the same procedure after he was diagnosed with throat inflammation also known as granuloma. The representative of the singer had said that RiRi was not feeling well before the show and opted to consult a doctor. After consulting the medical experts the singer then decided to cancel the show in Stockholm.

The promoters have now planned that they would reschedule the show but have not yet revealed about when the show would take place. Rihanna had also released a statement saying that she was sorry that she could not appear for the show and that she was excited to perform.
