A marriage-equality themed parody to the lyrics of Finland’s Eurovision Song Contest entry, “Marry me” by Krista Siegfrids.

This amature tribute parody video was made by groups of Eurovision fans from Switzerland, Israel, USA, Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Iceland, Turkey, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.
It was shot in 10 countries with over 150 participants. It was made with love and support to (and from) Krista Siegfrids, who we wish the best of luck in the Eurovision Song Contest this year in Malmo!

The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.

What is the It Gets Better Project?

In September 2010, syndicated columnist and author Dan Savage created a YouTube video with his partner Terry Miller to inspire hope for young people facing harassment. In response to a number of students taking their own lives after being bullied in school, they wanted to create a personal way for supporters everywhere to tell LGBT youth that, yes, it does indeed get better.

The It Gets Better Project™ has become a worldwide movement, inspiring more than 50,000 user-created videos viewed more than 50 million times. This was so much fun and so simple we decided to co-create a “Global Love Letters” movement to spread this simple action of writing anonymous love letters addressed “For You” and signed “I Love You” and start dropping them out to the world on the streets and absolutely everywhere you go.

With cheers and protests thundering through the Capitol, the Minnesota House on Thursday took a historic step toward legalizing same-sex marriage.

The bill passed 75-59 with resounding DFL support and the votes of four Republicans. The measure now goes to the Senate on Monday, where its passage is considered likely. Gov. Mark Dayton has said he intends to sign the bill into law, which would make Minnesota the 12th state to legalize same-sex marriage.

Packed Capitol full of emotion on both sides watched as measure picked up 75 votes, including 4 Republicans.
