I have a feeling and maybe it is because I still Believe in President Obama that we will make a mistake in not re-electing on the Cannabis front.

On the other hand we are still fighting each other over cannabis profits and who gets to grow it.

Let us all stand together for real Cannabis freedom.

I believe the ice is cracking if they are licensing Medical Marijuana to at least one company.

If for no other reason then people will drink less alcohol ( health wise ) we need Medical use.
For such a simple thing, a plant, we humans have ourselves in knots.

Yes let us change the schedule but not in the interest of Capitalism alone.

I take offense to the notion that anyone not willing to support Ron Paul is somehow hurting the legalization movement. I respect him and his willingness to speak his mind about any issue but I disagree with nearly every position he holds on every issue other than cannabis. And I could in fact make a fairly compelling case that his isolationist and Libertarian views are far more detrimental to cannabis legalization than anything I could ever do given comparatively few people view him as a legitimate voice for anything beyond the Tea Party movement and the cannabis community. To me, many of his ideas are frightening and far more important than the legalization issue, which I look at as better fought at the state level.

Your characterization of the five government agencies he wishes to discard entirely as "useless" shows a lack of understanding as to what any of these agencies actually do. There is not a serious individual anywhere that would make the claim that our government does not contain a high degree of waste. But solving waste by completely eliminating the Department of Education or the EPA for example is overly-simplistic and irrational. Your key argument for supporting Ron Paul, aside form cannabis of course, seems to be, "what disagreement could one have with freedom is beyond me." Yet that explanation fails to take into account what Ron Paul defines as freedom. His freedom would not include the freedom for women to make choices about pregnancy, yet would allow any school district in the country the freedom to add demonstrably false information to their science curriculums and any corporation to pollute our environment freely. His freedom doesn't seem to mind if people die from easily treatable injuries and disease if they didn't have the presence of mind or means to purchase health insurance.

You say we need to "put away our brainwashed party allegiance." But it seems to me you and Ron Paul have fallen victim to another type of brainwashing. The type that seems to think government is the reason for every problem. If you believe all the same stuff Ron Paul believes or simply think the issue of legalization is worth compromising feelings on other issues I'm fine with that, by all means support his candidacy. But claiming some sort of status as a freedom fighter while denigrating views that differ form yours makes you no better than the rest. Cannabis supporters come from across the political and social spectrum, to think we'd all coalesce around a single individual is the definition of crazy.

I wonder how many people don't comment because they're too high and don't want to register with WordPress haha. Or maybe they're paranoid that WordPress is controlled by the government and everything we type is being logged and analyzed. Wait a second...oh snaap! I'm not smart enough to think of anything better but I don't believe our "system" is set up properly even if someone smart does come to "power". However, even if someone such as Ron Paul doesn't turn out to be who he says he is this whole movement is empowering people by making us realize that we can change things by coming together, and using our creative abilities. W3rd of Mouf son. Vote. Be nice, be smart, be true to yourself and others. SOPA+PIPA=POOPA haha or does it? I haven't even read anything about it I just believe its bad! See how powerful propaganda is!

Please also be aware the Gary Johnson, now running for the Libertarian nomination, is cannabis friendly; he also doesn't have Ron Paul's religious baggage and he's a lot younger. As he hopefully becomes more well known, he might just get some traction.

There's also Rocky Anderson, who just started the Justice Party, and that's just what it sounds like; putting the banksters in jail, for starters.

Addiction is a problem in the US!!! 1200 people die every day from tobacco use. That's about 400,000 people each year.
Alcohol kills about 80,000 people in a year. Aspirin kills around 2,000. Marijuana, in the thousands of years which it has been used worldwide for recreational and medical purposes, has claimed 0 lives. That is also the number of excuses the federal government has for keeping it illegal. Pathetic people like Rafael Lemaitre would rather see US citizens use medications with long lists of dangerous and potentially life threatening side affects, instead of one safe and affordable medication. It is obvious that he does not strive to do what is in the best interest of the american people... so why do we allow him to make decisions for us? I thought government officials were supposed to work FOR the people, not against them. People need to realize that the government can work for us but not unless we put that B*tch in its place and make it.

This is unequivocally an irresponsible piece of journalism. As the author of the pet survey I can confirm that Ms. Pollack failed to even attempt to contact me to discuss the survey or the issue at hand. The article is rife with factual inaccuracies and exposes the author’s clear lack of knowledge about the subject matter. I would have been more than happy to discuss the issue with the author had she contacted me. Nevertheless, I am grateful that she published this article as it ultimately serves to raise public awareness about both the benefits and risks of medicinal marijuana for pets. A more credible account of my activities, written by an author who actually interviewed me as part of her due diligence, can be found at DVM360.com. http://veterinarynews.dvm360.com/dvm/Veterinary+news/California-DVM-wants-clinical-trial-on-medical-use/ArticleStandard/Article/detail/754711

I agree that Obama has disappointed a lot of cannabis users by reversing himself on the Holder memo. However, his initial pro-MMJ stance created a big industry in states like Colorado. Under George Bush, it was nearly impossible to get a doc's recommendation. Obama comes in, and dispensaries pop up like dandelions. I'll take Obama over Romney or Gingrich any day. Mormon Romney hates MJ and alcohol and Gingrich wants to put pot smokers to death.

I use cannabis regularly and am thinking about starting on Prozac for treatment of depression and an anxiety disorder. Is there any recent info on whether or not the combination of the two could be harmful or have adverse/negative effects?
