STAND UP MURAL AUCTION!!!
BIDDING STARTS AT $6000.00

The STAND UP mural was painted live at the Airport Lounge in San Diego, CA on February 8th. The Glue Network teamed up with Jedidiah, Fallen Footwear, and GroundUP Movement. This event was held to help raise money and awareness for the San Diego Chapter of Stand Up For Kids and the issue of youth homelessness. All the proceeds from the event ($4k) plus the money raised from the sale of the above mural will go to support Stand Up For Kids and their tireless efforts to help kids who are living on the streets.
The mural was painted live by: Johnny Rodriguez, Kelli Murray, Ekundayo, and several other talented artists.

The Glue Network joined with Fallen Footwear and pro skateboarder Jamie Thomas and his creation, the "Rival lo-fi Africa" shoe with a purpose!

Each pair sold will touch the life of a former child soldier by helping them cope with post-war psychosocial effects. So far the shoe has raised over $14,500.00!!!

This is an amazing opportunity to spread the work about the current situation in Northern Uganda. Rebels are kidnapping children and forcing them to fight against governemtn soldiers and their own communities.

Tell everyone you know about this uniquely designed shoe that is supporting World Vision and the Youth Psychosocial Care Center in Northern Uganda which rehabilitates children rescued from the war. Check it out and do your part to support the cause and sport some cool kicks!

HOW TO HELP: DONATION LINKS

Donate to the American Red Cross who is helping the disaster victims who have been evacuated. They will put the money toward whatever is most needed, whether it be food, clothing, supplies, etc. To donate, call 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish), or make a secure contribution online.

Habitat for Humanity in San Diego is currently collecting donations for the Firestorm Disaster Rebuild Fund at the SDHFH office located at 10222 San Diego Mission Road, San Diego 92108 or by calling 619-283-HOME or by clicking Donate Now button at the bottom of the page and designating Firestorm Disaster Rebuild Fund.

The Escondido Humane Society has issued a call for supplies, volunteers and monetary donations to assist with the care of the shelter's 600 animals. Call (760) 888-2200 or visit their website for more info. Donations can be sent to the shelter at 3450 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92027; made online or made at any 1st Pacific Bank of California location. The account is under The Escondido Humane Society, Fire Fund.

The Poway Community Center is seeking monetary donations for Witch Creek fire evacuees being housed at the center. It no longer needs supplies. Make checks payable to the Poway Rotary. Donations are tax deductible. Mark your donation Poway Fire Victims and deliver to Poway City Hall, 13325 Civic Center Drive, drop it in the overnight box located in the parking lot, or mail to Poway Rotary, P.O. Box 184, Poway, CA 92074.

The Burn Institute is seeking donations for its special assistance fund for burn survivors and their families that provides temporary housing, transportation assistance and food vouchers, according to spokeswoman Diane Sparacino. The Jewish Community has established the Jewish Community Disaster Fund for those affected by the fires. Checks can be made payable to the Jewish Community Foundation and sent to Jewish Community Disaster Fund, c/o Jewish Community Foundation, 4950 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92123. Credit card contributions may be processed online.

Donate As A Business

Governor Arnold Swartzenegger announced Tuesday businesses can call (800) 750-2858 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. to make in-kind donations. Operators from the Governor's Office of Emergency Services will match donations to disaster efforts across Southern California.

Qualcomm Stadium - though Qualcomm has enough supplies and volunteers, they are still seeking corporate and bulk donations for the broader relief efforts throughout San Diego. Call (619) 236-6175 to reach a logistics team member.

The San Diego Blood Bank- Give blood at the following donation centers: 440 Upas St. in San Diego, 680 Fletcher Parkway in El Cajon and 1727 Sweetwater Road in National City. For more information, call (800) 4MY-SDBB or visit their website.

Free counseling by telephone is available for those affected by the Southern California wildfires from United Health Group. The master's-level specialists are available by calling toll-free (866)-342-6892, around the clock, for as long as necessary.
