1. Religious conversion is a crime

If it is a crime, then Siddhartha Goutama Budda must be a criminal, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar must be a criminal, and countless people who converted from one religion to another down through the centuries mus be criminals. The constitution of India guarantees the right to change one's religion.

2. Christians are converting people by for allurement, force and fraudulent means

First of all, people conversion by any of these means is not a conversion at all, but is a crime. If some body take some money or gifts and say they are Christians, that does not make them as Christians. Conversion is a matter of change of heart. It is in their heart, people have to decide to follow Jesus Christ. Then only it will be a real conversion. People who make this allegation has no proof and just spreading lies in the community.

3. When people convert, their allegiance changes from India to Vatican

This is absurd. There are thousands of Christians in India, who are very patriotic and are well known for their service the the country and people of India. Besides, Vatican is the place where Pope lives and he is the head of only Roman Catholic Church, and does not represent the entire Christian community.

4. India is a Hindu nation, people in India should follow only Hindu religion

India is not a Hindu nation, even though majority people follow the Hindu religion. India is a secular country with freedom of religion

5. We will loose our cultural identity when people convert to Christianity

When people convert to Christianity, they will still be Indians and will not change their cultural values. There is lot of difference between Christianity in western countries to Christianity in India. Even though they believe the same fundamental truths, the Indian Christian will eat the same Indian food, dress the same Indian dresses, and have the same values of the community as far as the good moral values are concerned. But he/she will not follow the customs when they are superstitions and are intertwined with Hindu religion. They are not actually cultural values, but religious customs.

Read what Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:38, 39:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
