Earlier, I was going to view my Multiply site by typing my site's URL on my browser's address bar. Then I checked the other tabs on my browser. When I went back to check on my Multiply site, I realized I was on Blogger, with someone else's blog that I'm seeing for the first time. Upon checking the URL, I realized I typed blogspot instead of multiply as the domain name. Haha, I have long wished to change my Multiply username. But that would be too much of an effort since it would require me to start from scratch. So... never mind.... unless Multiply gives us that option. :)

All Aboard Please...

I was browsing photos and I found this photo I took after landing at a domestic airport.

It was my first time to fly on board a 19-seater passenger plane last December. In the case of SEAIR, seat numbers are not assigned at the check-in counter but rather at the boarding gate. And passengers are weighed too--not just the baggage, but also the body weight of the passenger. I guess this has to do with the proper weight distribution of passengers inside the plane. I was really scared back then, and couldn't wait to land. But the flight turned out well. For a bonus, this type of plane flies at an altitude lower than the bigger types of aircraft, giving you more chances to see the land and water below.

Well, I haven't been blogging for quite some time, thanks to our erratic internet connection and my busy work, and now, I'll be on a series of trips for two weeks, with one-day intervals. Eh di lalo na ko hindi nakapag-post ng entry! Waaah! These work-related trips will not even free me from my deadlines. Aba, iisa lang ang katawan ko! Oh God! Help me please. Sana lang wala nang pumuntang bagyo sa mga pupuntahan ko! Fortunately I won't be leaving until Tuesday next week, so I would still be able to watch Grey's Anatomy on Monday. Ano na ba'ng nangyari? I already missed two consecutive episodes dahil walang TV sa mga pinuntahan ko. Hay...

I Never Thought Watching a Comic Flick Can Give Me Nightmares...

...that was until I watched Blades of Glory last Friday night on DVD. While the movie really made me laugh, there was this really morbid scene, a really horrible one, about the Iron Lotus move which their coach devised. It was really unexpected, and so I watched the scene a couple of times, in slow motion, after watching the movie. Then I slept.

The next morning, I woke up in tears, because I had a really bad dream. It was so horrible, and it appeared so real to me. Maybe I should get that Iron Lotus thing out of my head! Which reminds me: I'll search for it on Google, and then enough.

UP Pep Squad Rocks!

Hurrah! After five long years, the UP Pep Squad finally takes back the much coveted championship from the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe.

It was a pity I was not able to buy tickets and watch it at the Big Dome. Nevertheless, the joy of watching the UP Pep make its way to the top once more, even on television, especially while my sister, a graduate of UST, is watching with me, is priceless. Every year, she would make fun of the fact that UP only manages to be in the top three, while UST is there at the top. At least this year, as UST hoped to "kick for six", the pressure is very much on UST, and not on UP.

When the UP Pep Squad finished its number without a mistake, especially during the lifts and pyramids, I was confident that UP has a chance to get to the top. It was a close fight. And I hope that the UP Pep could maintain its victory in the years to come!

I've Got Mail...

...and it made me smile. Nope, it wasn't something personal. It was actually for our organization. We received the first two documents (out of a target of at least 140) which we would need so that our company can perform its mandate. I tried encoding the documents into our database, and while I encountered a few glitches (such as saving errors because of mandatory fields that need to be filled), I was able to encode them. I just hope the rest of the documents would start coming in in the next few days so that I could have enough time to properly mark them and encode them into our database. Whew, it's really the start of the busy season for us. I guess that would leave me much less time to update my blog. :(

Cokskiblue. This blog is the very first video blog I've seen, and I personally like Coy's style. Whether he uses video clips or a slideshow of still photos, he makes his video entries exciting by using good music and his very natural narration (voice-over). His entries range from personal trips to inspirational and insightful videos on certain occasions, such as Mother's Day and Independence Day, making viewers revisit their values.
Gibbs Cadiz. This is a very informative blog about entertainment: movies and theater! If you are not a theater enthusiast, visit this blog and perhaps you might find yourself getting tickets for a show. For theater enthusiasts who want to know good and affordable shows, pay a visit to this blog.

Keeping Hopes High

Yesterday, the nation has spoken through the ballot. According to the COMELEC, the voter turnout was from 65 to 85 per cent. I was one registered voter who, fortunately, have not had any difficulty in casting my vote for the past three elections (two midterm elections and one presidential election). In my hometown, the election was generally peaceful, although there were still some supporters of candidates for local elective positions distributing sample ballots and flyers of their candidates within the school premises, a practice which is prohibited by law but, unfortunately, is seldom punished.

Though the casting of votes is generally peaceful (save for some isolated cases of violence), the battle really begins in the counting and canvassing of votes. In the past, there were allegations of cheating, done through bribery, coercion, intimidation, and other machinations. This year's election is not spared from such talks. But still, with a relatively high voter turnout, it seems that we Filipinos still hope that this time, we will elect a good mix of leaders, and that the election would be as clean and honest as it should be.

...more to go. At least I could afford to pause for a break. Our board meeting finally pushed through yesterday. Now I could finish other things, along with writing the minutes of our meeting.

Oh, and one other thing that happened is that my phone's loudspeaker was damaged, maybe because it fell yesterday. You can only hear the tones when you use the headset. I have other things lined up for repair: my tape recorder [which I bought in November of 2005] and my flat iron [which I bought in July of last year. And now, my phone has joined the club! Argh! Akala yata ng mga gamit ko ay mayaman ako! (It seems like my things think that I'm rich!) Haha. Sad to say, I haven't earmarked funds for these repairs yet.

There were too many passengers queued at the PUV terminal in Philcoa bound for Ortigas. I decided to try the PUV terminal in Panay Avenue. Unfortunately, the traffic along EDSA is a little heavy. I'm still here in Cubao as of this writing. And I only have 10 minutes left. Where is Superman? Maybe I could get a little help. Or perhaps the Sang'gres of Lireo can give me the power to orb. Haha. Wala lang.

Oops, I Did It Again...

Or should I say, them. First, here I am late for work, AGAIN. Second, I forgot to bring my rubber shoes. Well, I'm not quite certain if I have forgotten my rubber shoes before [which goes to show that my memory is failing me AGAIN], but I'm certain that I have done this over and over again: that of spending my time in the morning preparing something which I need during the day, be it a snack or extra clothes or whatever--even though it could mean being late for work--only to forget bringing the same in the end.

The Height of Forgetfulness

Last Friday night, before going home, I passed by Mercury Drug Citimall to buy some things. I left my bag with the guard at the baggage counter and proceeded to the grocery area. After paying for what I bought, I went out and headed straight to the tricycle terminal. I sat at the improvised seat inside the side car (yeah, the most hated seat inside the tricycle), and had a really uncomfortable time. I got off from the trike at our street corner, and it was only then that I realized that something was wrong: MY BAG WAS MISSING! I tried to remember the chain of events and realized that I left it at the baggage counter. I checked my pocket to see if the claim stub was still there. And luckily, it was still there. I went inside the house first to leave what I bought and headed straight back to Mercury Drug to claim my bag. (Sigh) What a relief!

False Alarm

Waaah... I thought Sukob will be shown this afternoon. When they were promoting it on TV, they said it will be shown Sunday, after ASAP '07. Maybe I did not notice the date. Perhaps it will be shown next Sunday and not today. Oh well. Life's like that.

Happy Easter everyone! I'm here blogging while working on a homework that is due on the 10th. I need to access our company's website in order to work on this homework. The problem is that our dial-up connection is intermittent. I'd be lucky if I could post this entry on the first try.

By the way, Sukob, the horror movie showing Kris Aquino and Claudine Barretto will be having its TV premier this afternoon after ASAP '07, only on ABS-CBN.

...not because I'll be going to the gym as I originally planned, but because of the files I am uploading to our FTP Server. Our webmaster needs the files today so he can work on our website update right away because he will be out of the country on Friday. Thanks to the size of the files, it takes too much time to upload. Unfortunately, our webmaster could not pick up the CD from our office, so I'll really have to upload these files.

Monday at Work

This morning, I woke up way past the time that I set. I took a cab on my way to work, hoping that I could make it before 9 am. The traffic along C-5 was heavy. But the traffic along Ortigas Avenue was a lot worse. I reached our office at 9:03 am.

The entire day, I have been working on the minutes of our general assembly meeting. I need to finish this by midweek so I can move on to do other things.

Back to work! :)

The weekend was just great. Our annual general assembly meeting went along just fine. To top that, we were given a small allowance for the day. Then we went on leave yesterday, giving me time to do some errands. Even though I was not able to process my application for an SSS ID, I was able to workout, pay my credit card bills, and shop for one month’s supply of groceries. And oh, I ran into a friend at SM Megamall yesterday, and he asked me to join him for videoke. Since he was paying for it, I agreed. What the heck, I did not know that Timezone has KTV rooms! Great! Now I know!!!
