We reported on April 26 that Aishwarya Rai's daughter was turning into a fashionista with her all-pink looks and leopard-print pants, not to mention the cute bangs on her forehead when the family came back from New York.

Aishwarya Rai has always dressed Aaradhya in pink-light pink and dark pink. And we have to admit that pink looks great on the baby. What we didn't realize was that Mommy loves pink too. If you look at the above video of Aishwarya Rai on her 39th birthday, you see that both Mommy and baby are wearing pink, and they both look ravishing.

Now, all we need is for Daddy to start wearing pink too! Come on, Abhishek, real men aren't afraid to wear pink. Maybe Bachchan Jr. can start by wearing a pink shirt under his black suit or a dark pink tie! That way, the whole family can match! In other news, it appears that Aishwarya Rai will not be acting in Farah Khan's "Happy New Year" after all, as we reported on April 28.

It seems that Farah Khan is still looking for "the right face" for the female lead, but Shah Rukh Khan has been confirmed for the male lead. Shah Rukh has always been a favorite with Farah Khan and acted in two of her movies, "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om."Farah also launched Deepika Padukone and is thinking about similarly using a new face for "Happy New Year."

The Film Festival will begin on May 15th with Baz Luhrmann’s film The Great Gatsby, featuring Aishwariya’s father in law, the legendary, Amitabh Bachchan, who holds a cameo role in the film.

Domestic violence has remained a hushed up but undeniable fact of life and recent revelations show that even celebrities are not proof from it. After Aamir Khan aired an episode on this topic in his show “Satyamev Jayate” it has become a hotly discussed issue. But, just because you are rich and famous does not stop this domestic evil from invading your life. Here is a list of some of the most famous names in Bollywood who has become victims of domestic violence.

Aishwariya Rai
Yes! Even the Miss World was not proof against domestic violence during her relationship with Bollywood macho man Salman Khan. After she broke up with him, Aishwariya talked about Salman’s alcoholism and his abuse when he was drunk. Matters went so far as Aishwariya’s parents lodged a complaint with the police in 2000. “There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened" said Aishwariya in an interview. In 2002, Salman even invaded the sets of ‘Chalte Chalte’ where Aishwariya was shooting and pushed the actress to the floor and destroyed the set. Though he denied the allegations of abuse against him, Aishwariya describes this period of her life as nightmarish and goes on to say, “Let others say what they want. But every person concerned knows the truth... God is the witness."

Zeenat Aman
Going back to the earlier years of Bollywood, sexy actress Zeenat Aman was also a victim of the same problem. Zeenat entered in a relationship with Sanjay Khan who was married and who thrashed her so badly that she got a scar on her eye. Her doctor reported “Zeenat was in such a terrible state. Her face was covered with bruises and black eyes. There were blood clots in her eyes and her lips were severely cut.” Even after she recovered and went on to marry Mazhar Khan, she faced the same problem in her marriage.

Rucha Gujrati
Rucha Gujrati who debuted in Ekta Kapoor’s kkusum faced torture from her husband and in laws regularly to such an extent that she was even deprived of her meals and asked to pay her own expenses. She was married to businessman Mitul Sanghavi who used to beat her regularly.

Shweta Tiwari
This well known TV personality lasted 14 years in her abusive marriage during which time she had to lodge several complaints to the police against her husband who came home drunk and then abused her physically.

Spotted at the Mumbai airport recently with her parents in tow, one-year-old Aaradhya Bachchan stole the show in her leopard-print playsuit, pink jacket and fur-rimmed ugg boots. “It’s cute to see that the parents are having fun with the baby’s look and they are experimenting, it really sends out a cool message,” says designer Anupama Dayal. “Aishwarya is one of the biggest icons when it comes to global style. And, Big B is known to conduct himself flawlessly. The kid anyway looks so sweet — and being from the family, she is bound to look good always,” says Mumbai-based designer Rahul Mishra.

While Hollywood’s baby fashionistas Suri Cruise and Harper Beckham are often in news for their designer outfits, it’s the first time that a Bollywood baby has caught our attention for her super-cute style. “It is always nice to see parents making an effort when it comes to baby style and as long as kids look like kids, it is pleasing to the eye. Stylish clothes make a cute baby look cuter!” says designer Namrata Joshipura. While Aradhaya’s airport fashion rocked, our sources tell us that the family’s favourite designers — Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla — always make miniature versions of the outfits they design for Ash — anarkalis or floor-length suits — for Baby B!

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan’s first meeting

Many young hearts were broken when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tied the knot with her love Abhishek Bachchan. Indian men envy Abhishek for being the hubby of the most beautiful actress. Abhishek Bachchan still remembers the first time they met. We bring to you excerpt from an interview where Abhishek talks about his first meeting with Aishwarya.

“The first time I met Aishwarya was in August 1997. I was on a recce for my father's film, Mrityudata , in Switzerland, and she was shooting for her first film, Aur Pyar Ho Gaya , with my dear friend Bobby Deol", says Abhishek Bachchan going down the memory lane. "I remember one evening Bobby invited me over to his hotel for dinner and Aishwarya and the rest of the unit were there. That was the first time I actually met her, although I had obviously seen her before, since she was Miss World and all that".

Talking about the moment when he knew she was the one, Abhishek says, "I don't remember if there was any such moment, actually, which is weird, but it always just felt right. If you ask her, she will tell you the same thing – that the minute we came together, we both knew that this was something for keeps. So, there wasn't just this 'one' defining moment, it always felt perfect!"

Will Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan come together for Farah Khan’s Happy New Year?

For all Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fans who really loved their favourite actors’ impeccable chemistry in Josh, Devdas and Mohabbatein, here’s some really big news! According to the industry’s latest grapevine, Farah Khan has approached Aishwarya to star opposite Baadshah Khan in her flick Happy New Year. And our khabroo says that the proud mother of Aaradhya Bachchan might accept the offer. Yay!!!

Remember SRK and Ash had a fall out during Chalte Chalte and Rani Mukerji had later replaced the former Miss World. Of course, over the years the two actors would have sorted out their differences. A source close to Farah’s camp believes that the chances of Ash doing the film are high considering that her dearest hubby Abhishek Bachchan also stars in it. So she’ll get to spend some valuable time with her pati on the sets.

Farah has already signed Shahrukh, Abhishek and Boman Irani for the film which is basically about a group of friends. We hear that South sensation Prithviraj will also be a part of the movie. Aishwarya Rai to get a special invite for the Cannes Film Festival

The French government has announced that they will be specially inviting Aishwarya RaiBachchan for this year’s edition of the Cannes International Film Festival. Francois Richier, the French Ambassador to India, said “The Cannes festival will have a special focus on Indian Cinema where we will invite Indian film stars”. He emphasized that Aishwarya would also be invited saying “Aishwarya’s French connection is a long one, right from the time she has been endorsing a French cosmetic brand”. A senior diplomat told reporters that the Cannes film festival will also be celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema. Interestingly, Aishwarya had received a civilian award from the French government for her contribution to the field of arts on her birthday last year.
