There was no rule in the picture that said that the girl couldn't talk or that she had to be wandering around a wasteland by herself or that she wasn't part of a larger battle. They just added this stupid school drama thing because they couldn't be more creative and decided to resort to the same school drama blah blah blah they always do. And that's what I didn't like about the OVA and probably the show, the writers just treated the story like I treated this paragraph whenever they got to something they didn't feel like thinking about they just went blah blah blah.
