The year 1991 for all music lovers was known for the appearance of THE ARK. It was then that three young people decided to create their own rock band. Their names were Lars Ljungberg, Mikael Jepsson and Ola Svensson, who took on the pseudonym Salo.

The guys lived in a town called Rottne, which is 20 kilometers from a city called Vaxjo, in Sweden. Their then-unnamed band began to play in the area and did not become particularly famous at first. They even had problems with the rehearsal space. But Pele, brother of Leari, who played in the band SHIREMEN, allowed the youth to hang out in their studio, and THE ARK solemnly set off.

The name was inspired by the preaching of a priest who was convinced that the apocalypse was coming. Therefore, the guys came up with this name for themselves, which means "Ark." Apparently, in the hope that they will not be hurt. The trio, joined by drummer Magnus Ohlsson, set about developing their own "apocalyptic" style.

The music was so atypical for the early 90s that critics ignored the first disc. But the group was not disappointed and continued their concert activity.

Throughout the year, THE ARK has racked up several music awards in Sweden, toured all over Europe, and made two trips to Italy. And sat down to record the second album.

The band's history teaches us that everything new is the well-forgotten old. And the half-forgotten heroes of yesteryear may never return. But this does not mean that their music is gone forever. Because what is sown in the hearts of people continues to bear fruit today.
