Incredible. Writer Jack Cashill's side-by-side, extensive analyses of "Dreams" and Ayers's "Fugitive Days" left no doubt in many minds that Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers had in fact written Obama's blockbuster book. Now Ayers admits it -- and was eager to do so.

Dreams From My Father vaulted Barack Hussein Obama onto the main stage of US politics. To a large degree, the book put him in the White House. But Dreams -- which Barack Hussein Obama claimed he wrote -- was actually a fraud penned by an unrepentant, America-hating, communist terrorist. Think about that for a minute, especially those of you who voted for Obama.

With Ayers's public admission, the case is closed. Oh, and the Obama-slurping trolls at the New York Times will once again plug their ears to what is a huge story, one that America has the right to hear.

Olympic Failure for Chicago Means No Graft For the Obama Gang

The latest Obama failure has left a lot of his cronies extremely upset. Due to the messiah of fraud's inability to lock up the 2016 Olympics for Chicago, millions of dollars in perks, bribes and graft has now eluded them. Most excellent indeed!

Here's an interesting post -- via Free Republic -- that shows how important to the Obama gang getting the Olympics to Chicago was:

Olympics 2016, including Pat Ryan, the chairman and CEO of Chicago 2016; John
Rodgers, the treasurer and director of Chicago 2016; Bill Daley, the former
Clinton administration commerce secretary and brother of the Chicago mayor; and
Penny Pritzker, the Chicago businesswoman and Hyatt hotel heiress who led
Obama’s meteoric presidential campaign fundraising.

Pritzker’s family also owns or manages other hotels named by Chicago 2016
as the accommodations for Olympic workers, press and family members. Ryan and
Priztker each contributed $100,000 or more to Chicago 2016.

As did White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, an Obama family friend,
who also served on the Chicago committee. It still counts Obama confidant and
vacation companion Eric Whitaker among its members.

Obama family insider in the WH, Valerie Jarrett, a slumlord, owns Chicago
property she apparently planned to turn into Olympic Villages (and flew to
Copenhagen). Jarrett was replaced as Chicago 2016 vice-chair by Martin Nesbitt,
the treasurer of Obama’s campaign, and another Obama family insider.

ASK Public Strategies, the Chicago-based corporate public relations company
founded by Obama political guru David Axelrod and owned and run by some of
Obama’s top presidential campaign consultants, was paid “in the tens of
thousands” of dollars by Chicago 2016 to do “communication management [and]
planning,” said former Axelrod partner Eric Sedler, who did not work for Obama's
campaign, but was in Copenhagen, along with Pritzker and Jarrett.

“ASK Public Strategies worked on the bid for three years and for 2/3 of
that time our work was pro bono,” said Sedler, who would not speculate on
whether the company would be in line for more Olympic work if the IOC picked
Chicago.

BTW, did you know that Durbin was in Denmark?....... They were so sneaky as
to who went. They took two govt planes---so it musta been quite a crowd. Videos
aired from Denmark showed a few unfamiliar faces. Oprah was kept under wraps.
Mrs Ohaha was shown getting off the plane alone. Only the Ohaha's were supposed

The Obama Economy Continues Crashing

When you mindlessly bought into Barack Hussein Obama's empty mantra of "Hope and Change," being forced into selling pencils on a street corner wasn't exactly the type of "Hope" and "Change" you were expecting. But that's what pulling the lever for a fraudulent, racist, anti-capitalist incompetent with absolutely no successful executive experience has effectively brought to millions of your countrymen, and possibly to you.

The highly-massaged official US unemployment rate now stands at 9.8 percent. Two hundred sixty three thousand more Americans have now been tossed out of work. Before the figure was released, the analyst consensus estimate was closer to 175,000.

But never mind the errant analysts, or the official figure of 9.8 percent. The actual, on-the-ground unemployment rate, which includes those who have given up trying to find employment and also those now forced into part time work only, is around 17 percent. That's right, 17 percent.

We are now at the highest unemployment rate of the last 26 years. Hope! Change! Yes We Can Go Broke!

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when Obama and crew rammed the obscene stimulus bill through their Democrat-controlled Congress, did not Obama promise that the unemployment rate would not pass eight percent before it would begin heading downward?

I predict that America will see an "official" unemployment rate close to 11% within the next year, and an actual rate of close to 20 percent.

Let's face it: The only things Barack Hussein Obama is proficient at are bashing America on the world stage, sucking-up to America's enemies and reading speeches written by a 20-something speechwriter, off a teleprompter.

Jimmy Carter must be breathing a sigh of relief. By the time Obama leaves office in 2012 -- if not sooner -- Carter will no longer have to endure the title of "Worst President Ever."

The best part of this latest Obama waste of US tax dollars is that the Copenhagen junket serves only one purpose. No, it has nothing to do with the failing Afghanistan War, or the failing US economy. It has nothing to do with the fact that a Theocratic Iran is about to get The Bomb. It has nothing to do with the moribund US economy.

The sole purpose of the Obama's latest bling-acquiring fling is to try cementing a deal to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago.

So, you ask, "Why is Obama acting not like the President of the US but as the Mayor of Chicago?" The answer is as simple as it is obvious: The Chicago thugs who nurtured Obama's political career and helped him steal the White House must now be repaid. Untold millions of dollars will flow into Chicago if it is chosen to host the 2016 Olympics and much of that will end up in the pockets of Obama supporters and handlers in the Daley political machine.

America's sons and daughters die in Afghanistan. The men who lead them in battle beg the President for reinforcements. But though the current occupant of the White House has plenty of time to vacation and appear on late night talk shows, he has little time to meet with generals tasked with winning a war against sociopathic murderers.

Instead of acting like a leader, Barack Hussein Obama, the Teleprompter-in-Chief, reads endless, boring speeches that no one wants to hear anymore. Instead of being a leader, he and his wife spend your money flitting around the globe, eating Wagyu steak and hosting high-priced cocktail parties, seeking admiration and prestige for themselves, and themselves only.

Little Barack plays and poses and seeks attention like a junkie craves crack. Goddamn America indeed. . .

Meanwhile, in these troubled times, our country needs a leader.

Barack Hussein Obama: The Most Fraudulent President Ever

Many months ago, I wrote a post on this blog highlighting the extreme possibility that terrorist pig Bill Ayers, of Weather Underground infamy, had in fact written "Dreams From My Father," the book that vaulted Barack Hussein Obama onto the main stage of US politics.

It turns out that my assessment was correct.

There are many, many other instances of the fraudulence of Obama. The Obama-slurping Establishment media has done its best to hide his fraudulence, but bit by bit, piece by piece, we are finding out that the current occupant of the White House is a through-and-through, utter fraud. It is no wonder that he has spent $1.4 million to keep his vital documents under wraps. It is no wonder he is still spending chunks of money to hide nearly all documentation that could shed light on his past. These include his college records, his vault-copy birth certificate (the only certificate that would prove or disprove his eligibility to hold the presidency) his passport, his list of clients from his brief lawyering days, his Columbia University thesis, his Occidental College records (suspicions are that he listed himself as a "foreign student" on these to get financial aid) -- the list goes on and on. And where, pray tell, are the warm and fuzzy anectdotes from past girlfriends, roomates and good friends?

Again, I ask: Who is this man and who are the people or powers that paid for his education, dressed him up, packaged him, funded him and then snookered Americans to vote for him? Who is this man-child, born to an America-hating radical and a philandering, violent, drunkard Marxist polygamist? American Thinker editor Ed Lasky provides some additional clues:

"Barack Obama has displayed a disturbing pattern of work ethics: shirking
work; claiming success when he was not entitled to do so; hiding his failures;
and claiming the work of others as his own -- when it was successful. These are
not character traits that we should associate with Presidents.

Barack Obama won praise for Dreams From My Father, a 1995 memoir of his
life that was published when he reached the grand old age of thirty-four. The
provenance of the book has come into question, led by a series of American
Thinker columns by Jack Cashill, who used textual analysis to ascribe its
writing --or at least a good portion of it -- to Bill Ayers, Obama's neighbor,
former Weatherman, Obama campaign supporter and partner in various activist
groups in Chicago.

This claim has been echoed in a new book by best-selling author Christian Andersen, Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage who wrote that sources close to the Obamas told him that Barack Obama turned over his notes and tapes to Bill Ayers to compose the book. Subsequently, under questioning by Cashill on a nationally-syndicated radio program, Andersen averred that two separate sources in Hyde Park confirmed to him the story of sending the notes and tapes to Ayers. Whoever wrote Dreams clearly embellished Obama's work history following graduation from Columbia. Obama claimed to have worked at a high powered
consulting firm as a research assistant. A former colleague who sat down the
hall from him debunked Obama's puffery in 2005:

First, it wasn't a consulting house; it was a small company that published
newsletters on international business. Like most newsletter publishers, it was a
bit of a sweatshop. I'm sure we all wished that we were high-priced consultants
to multinational corporations. But we also enjoyed coming in at ten, wearing
jeans to work, flirting with our co-workers, partying when we stayed late, and
bonding over the low salaries and heavy workload.

Barack worked on one of the company's reference publications. Each month
customers got a new set of pages on business conditions in a particular country,
punched to fit into a three-ring binder. Barack's job was to get copy from the
country correspondents and edit it so that it fit into a standard outline. There
was probably some research involved as well, since correspondents usually don't
send exactly what you ask for, and you can't always decipher their copy. But
essentially the job was copyediting." Read the rest.

I recently saw the first video of the school kids singing the Barack Obama song in class. At first I thought it was the promo for the new “Children of the Corn” film or
perhaps another remake of “Village of the Damned”, but alas, it is not. It is
real. But I think it’s way scarier than either of those two retreads will be.
This is the single spookiest thing I’ve seen since “Jeepers Creepers” in the
theater. It’s a bigger freak show than that Nancy Pelosi press conference where
she lied about the CIA.

But, it tells us a lot. It is another nugget of insight into the twisted logic and belief system that plagues the modern left. It should be analyzed, discussed, and studied like the Zapruder film.
Again, I must reiterate that if the left wants to discredit charges of Socialism,
Communism, Nazism and Fascism; they should really think about not emulating
Fascist, Communist, Socialist and Nazi regimes. As a child I remember films of
kids my age in China, all dressed in creepy uniforms with red ties, pledging
allegiance to photos of Chairman Mao.

This was shown to illustrate a BAD thing, not as a trailer of things to come.

Nationalism? Respect for the President? Pride in civic responsibility? I’m all about it. I think reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before the school week is a great tradition. Singing songs that praise a specific, contemporary leader and his policies? Meh, not really a good idea."

Let's do a quick thought experiment: Suppose these same children had been made to sing the praises of George W. Bush instead of Obama. Can anyone imagine the screaming outrage the Left would have voiced?

I'm going to try my hand at composing a little ditty that far more accurately describes the Dear Leader better than the one sung by the children at B. Bernice Elementary School.

"On Thursday Sept 15, 2008 at roughly 11 AM The Federal Reserve noticed a
tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the USA to the tune of $550
Billion dollars in a matter of an hour or two. Money was being removed
electronically.The Treasury tried to help, opened their window and pumped in
$150 Billion but quickly realized they could not stem the tide. We were having
an electronic run on the banks. So they decided to closed down the accounts.Had
they not closed down the accounts they estimated that by 2 PM that afternoon.
Within 3 hours. $5.5 Trillion would have been withdrawn and the entire economy
of the United States would have collapsed, and within 24 hours the world economy
would have collapsed.

Rush Limbaugh commented on this bomb earlier in the week:

The question is who was doing this? Who was withdrawing all this money? And
the next question is why? That's where my mind starts exploding, and this is
dangerous to have these explosions going this way. Could it have been George
Soros? Could it have been a consortium of countries -- Russia, China, Venezuela
-- countries that are eager to have Barack Obama elected because they know that
will make it easier for them to continue their own foreign policies in the
world?"

Yes, it could have been the poisonous George Soros. In my estimation he likely had something to do with it. Soros has a long, sordid history of manipulating the financial systems of whole nations -- and he is a convicted financial criminal who made a fortune on the backs of Britain's working class by shorting the British Pound into the ground.

Soros is a soul-less bloodsucker; a major funder of the anti-US radical Left. His sordid career and personal history speaks for itself.

Remember, going into September of last year, McCain and Palin had inched ahead of Obama in the polls and momentum was theirs. Then, out of the blue, in the midst of the beginning of what should have been a unremarkable, cyclical recession, all financial hell broke loose. I am convinced that was no accident. It was no coincidence that it happened when it did. It has the strong smell of a carefully crafted play; one of several that helped push a Marxist, anti-America, racist Chicago community organizer, into the world's most powerful position.

This needs to be investigated, and those responsible for it put in prison for decades.

The meltdown of Sept 15, 2008, was no accident. Where are the investigations into it? Why have no congressmen called for one? Is our financial system still vulnerable to such attacks?

Obama's so-called "Green Czar," Anthony Van Jones, was a self-avowed communist. Jones was directly selected for the position by Obama and his wife. Obama's close friend and advisor, William Ayers, is a rabidly anti-US ideologue, domestic terrorist and self-avowed communist who once indicated that 25 million Americans would have to be "re-educated" or executed to make his dream of turning America into a socialist paradise come true.

Obama has surrounded himself with people who despise capitalism, who despise the concept that power must come from below, not from above, and who praise and sympathize with tyrants like Fidel Castro. Obama has publicly praised the leftist tyrant Hugo Chavez, calling him "My man," and saying, "I love this guy!"

Obama was raised by anti-US communists, leftist radicals and communist sympathizers. By his own admission, one of the most influential people in his life was the communist Frank Marshall Davis. By his own admission he surrounded himself with Marxists and leftist radicals while in college. His spiritual guide for 20 years, the racist, anti-White, anti-US Reverend Jeremiah Wright, is a Marxist Black Liberation theologist.

These are Obama's people -- and he is largely in agreement with their politics.

By appointing 33 so-called "czars," (Bush had four), Obama is attempting to circumvent the traditional checks and balances built into the US Constitution. This move is designed to wrest power from "the people," where it rightly belongs, and to place it with him and a small circle of fellow leftists and leftist radicals. Being a radical leftist, Obama knows that the quickest way he can foist socialism on America is to circumvent the normal checks and balances of the US Constitution by concentrating decision-making power at the Executive level.

Most of Obama's "czars" are unaccountable to anyone but Obama, and they have broad decision making power over US policy.

A socialist dictatorship is in the making. Anthony Van Jones is just the tip of the iceberg.

In the course of investigating procurement by the White House New Media
office, NLPC discovered a 51-page solicitation of bids that was filed on Friday,
August 21, 2009. Filed as Solicitation # WHO-S-09-0003, it is posted

While the solicitation specifies a 12-month contract, it allows for seven
one-year extensions. It specifies no dollar cap. Other troubling issues

Ted Kennedy was a man of extraordinary privilege who pretended to work for the "little man" while never having worked an honest day in his life. A serial drunkard and legendary philanderer who was expelled from Harvard University for cheating, Kennedy, when he wasn't fighting to open America's borders to uncivilized Third World customs, crime and misogyny, spent his legislative career fighting for higher taxes to fuel ever-bigger government programs. In true leftist "do as I say, not as I do" fashion, Kennedy studiously avoiding paying his fair share by manuevering the Kennedy family fortune into tax shelters and offshore havens.

Kennedy also fancied himself an environmentalist but blocked a proposal to build a wind farm off of Martha's Vineyard simply because it would have spoiled the view from his multi-million dollar estate.

This crude, base hypocrite maligned US troops during the Iraq war, giving aid and comfort to America's enemies. But this should surprise no one, since when it came to maligning his country or kissing up to America's enemies, Edward Kennedy had a track record that stretched back at least twenty years. Below is text of a KGB letter documenting Kennedy's treachery against President Ronald Reagan while Reagan was playing hardball with America's sworn enemy, the USSR:

Regarding Senator Kennedy’s request to the General Secretary of the
Communist Party Comrade Y.V. Andropov Comrade Y.V. Andropov

On 9-10 May of this year, Senator Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted
confidant J. Tunney was in Moscow. The senator charged Tunney to convey the
following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of
the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov:

Senator Kennedy, like other rational people, is very troubled by the
current state of Soviet-American relations. Events are developing such that this
relationship coupled with the general state of global affairs will make the
situation even more dangerous. The main reason for this is Reagan’s
belligerence, and his firm commitment to deploy new American middle range
nuclear weapons within Western Europe.

According to Kennedy, the current threat is due to the President’s refusal
to engage any modification on his politics. He feels that his domestic standing
has been strengthened because of the well publicized improvements of the
economy: inflation has been greatly reduced, production levels are increasing as
is overall business activity. For these reasons, interest rates will continue to
decline. The White House has portrayed this in the media as the “success of
Reaganomics.”
Naturally, not everything in the province of economics has
gone according to Reagan’s plan. A few well known economists and members of
financial circles, particularly from the north-eastern states, foresee certain
hidden tendencies that may bring about a new economic crisis in the USA. This
could bring about the fall of the presidential campaign of 1984, which would
benefit the Democratic party. Nevertheless, there are no secure assurances this
will indeed develop.

The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and
Soviet-American relations. These issues, according to the senator, will without
a doubt become the most important of the election campaign. The movement
advocating a freeze on nuclear arsenals of both countries continues to gain
strength in the United States. The movement is also willing to accept
preparations, particularly from Kennedy, for its continued growth. In political
and influential circles of the country, including within Congress, the
resistance to growing military expenditures is gaining strength.

However, according to Kennedy, the opposition to Reagan is still very weak.
Reagan’s adversaries are divided and the presentations they make are not fully
effective. Meanwhile, Reagan has the capabilities to effectively counter any
propaganda. In order to neutralize criticism that the talks between the USA and
the USSR are non-constructive, Reagan will grandiose, but subjectively
propagandistic. At the same time, Soviet officials who speak about disarmament
will be quoted out of context, silenced or groundlessly and whimsically
discounted. Although arguments and statements by officials of the USSR do appear
in the press, it is important to note the majority of Americans do not read
serious newspapers or periodicals.
Kennedy believes that, given the current state of affairs, and in the interest of peace, it would be prudent and timely to undertake the following steps to counter the militaristic politics of Reagan and his campaign to psychologically burden the American people. In this regard, offers the following proposals to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Y.V. Andropov.

1. Kennedy asks Y.V. Andropov to consider inviting the senator to Moscow
for a personal meeting in July of this year. The main purpose of the meeting,
according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations
regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and
more convincing during appearances in the USA. He would also like to inform you
that he has planned a trip through Western Europe, where he anticipates meeting
England’s Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and French President Mitterand in
which he will exchange similar ideas regarding the same issues.

If his proposals would be accepted in principle, Kennedy would send his
representative to Moscow to resolve questions regarding organizing such a visit.

Kennedy thinks the benefit of a meeting with Y.V. Andropov will be enhanced
if he could also invite one of the well known Republican senators, for example,
Mark Hatfield. Such a meeting will have a strong impact on American and
political circles in the USA. (In March of 1982, Hatfield and Kennedy proposed a
project resolution to freeze the nuclear arsenals of the USA and the USSR and
published a book on this theme as well.)

2. Kennedy believes that in order to influence Americans it would be
important to organize in August-September of this year, televised interviews
with Y.V. Andropov in the USA. A direct appeal by the General Secretary of the
Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union to the American
people will, without a doubt, attract a great deal of attention and interest in
the country. The senator is convinced this would receive the maximum resonance
in so far as television is the most effective method of mass media and
information.

If the proposal is recognized as worthy, then Kennedy and his friends will
bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television
companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the
interviews. Specifically, the president of the board of directors of ABC, Elton
Raul and television columnists Walter Cronkite or Barbara Walters could visit
Moscow. The senator underlined the importance that this initiative should be
seen as coming from the American side.

Furthermore, with the same purpose in mind, a series of televised
interviews in the USA with lower level Soviet officials, particularly from the
military would be organized. They would also have an opportunity to appeal
directly to the American people about the peaceful intentions of the USSR, with
their own arguments about maintaining a true balance of power between the USSR
and the USA in military terms. This issue is quickly being distorted by Reagan’s
administration.

Kennedy asked to convey that this appeal to the General Secretary of the
Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is his effort to
contribute a strong proposal that would root out the threat of nuclear war, and
to improve Soviet-American relations, so that they define the safety of the
world. Kennedy is very impressed with the activities of Y.V. Andropov and other
Soviet leaders, who expressed their commitment to heal international affairs,
and improve mutual understanding between peoples.

The senator underscored that he eagerly awaits a reply to his appeal, the
answer to which may be delivered through Tunney.

Having conveyed Kennedy’s appeal to the General Secretary of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Tunney also explained that
Senator Kennedy has in the last few years actively made appearances to reduce
the threat of war. Because he formally refused to partake in the election
campaign of 1984, his speeches would be taken without prejudice as they are not
tied to any campaign promises. Tunney remarked that the senator wants to run for
president in 1988. At that time, he will be 56 and his personal problems, which
could hinder his standing, will be resolved (Kennedy has just completed a
divorce and plans to remarry in the near future). Taken together, Kennedy does
not discount that during the 1984 campaign, the Democratic party may officially
turn to him to lead the fight against the Republicans and elect their candidate
president. This would explain why he is convinced that none of the candidates
today have a real chance at defeating Reagan.

I came across a July 17 blog shilling for race hoaxer Henry Louis “Skip” Gates Jr., “So, Is A Prominent Havard [sic] University [sic] Being Charged With Owning-A-Home-In-A-Good-Neighborhood-While-Black.” It was written by Sandy Gholston, proprietor of The Gholston Post, which he calls “A Blog For The People.”

I bring up the blog essay because it is a generic defense of Gates.

Henry Louis Gates Jr. one of the most respected scholars in the United States of America, may have become the latest victim of racial profiling. Essentially, it appears that Gates was harassed by police officers because he forced his way into his own home a woman reported seeing “two black males with backpacks on the porch” with one “wedging his shoulder into the door as if he was trying to force entry.” Ah, the infamous two black males accusation. Apparently, two black males look a little bit more suspect in an upscale neighborhood, huh?...

It’s a disturbing tale because it does make (or should make) a person wonder would white guys trying to get into a house have been perceived the same way….

Yeah, why would a guy be upset about being harassed by police for trying to get into his own house and having a dime dropped on him by someone worried about the two black guys? The police come and harass a man getting into his own house and then arrest him on his own property for disorderly conduct. How much of an insult/slap in the face is that? I think most people would have “exhibited loud and tumultuous behavior” (how broad a description is that?) if they found themselves in a similar situation.

The quotes from Gholston are wrapped around a story by the AP’s Melissa Trujillo, “Black scholar's arrest raises profiling questions,” which quotes unchallenged assertions by a couple of Gates’ fellow tenured, Harvard race hustlers that “the arrest is part of a pattern of racial profiling in Cambridge.”

Police didn't “harass” Gates, Gates racially harassed and abused the white policeman.

By the admission of Gates' own lawyer, Gates and the cabby were trying to break into the home. Thus, the 911 call and the police response were entirely justified.

Gates does not own the home, Harvard does, so Gholston’s premise is false, and his title misleading.

White guys would have been treated the same way, but it is highly unlikely that they would have reacted as Gates did.

I recall breaking into my apartment in the middle of the night once, circa 1987, when I had forgotten or lost my keys, and my roommate was out for the night. As I climbed the fire escape to my kitchen window, I was scared to death that someone would call the police, and I’d get shot. So, there is no justification whatsoever for Gates’ racist abuse of, and refusal to cooperate with Sgt. Crowley. Had a white man reacted to a black police sergeant in the same racist, abusive, tumultuous way that Gates did, the Cambridge PD and Middlesex Prosecutor’s Office would not have dropped the charges.

Gholston’s racism is showing.

Note that Gholston accepts the report that Gates and his driver were attempting to force entry into the residence. As far as he is concerned, one may not call the police if one sees black men breaking into a residence. Thus, like Gates, he supports black criminals.

Gholston’s racist attack on witness Lucia Whalen for calling the police is part of a widespread campaign of vilification against her, designed to intimidate whites out of notifying the police about apparent crimes in progress committed by black boys and men.

From 1962, when James Baldwin began laying the pseudo-intellectual groundwork for the black racial profiling myth, through 1999, when the engineers of the racial profiling hoax enjoyed their breakthrough and beyond, black racists and their white supporters had always been careful to insist that police were variously arresting, assaulting, or murdering innocent blacks who had merely been minding their own business. Because Gates’ supporters acknowledge, as does his own lawyer, that Gates was attempting to break into the home that Harvard provides him, yet still assert that he was a “victim” of “racial profiling,” the Gates race hoax thus represents a new level of confidence and thus of racist evil on the part of black supremacists.

How many additional innocents must be murdered by black felons, in crimes that could easily have been prevented, had the authorities and ordinary people alike not surrendered to the felons' black supremacist supporters?

Over four weeks after posting his support of Gates’ race hoax, Gholston still hasn’t corrected the mistakes in his title, let alone those of logic and morality in his essay. Gholston has a handsome-looking blog. Unfortunately, as the United Negro College Fund says, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

"Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I've broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.

I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen. "Sorry about that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry."

"I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. "And his brother Eric is very thirsty." said the President. I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don't want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. "Eric's children are also quite hungry."

With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. "And their grandmother can't stand for long." I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President. "Their grandfather doesn't like the cold."

I wanted to shout- that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him. "Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do." My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.

"By the way," He added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There's a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can't come to you for jobs groveling like beggars."

I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his creme brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands. "You should have stopped me at the dinner roll," he said.

Sonia Sotomayor is Qualified to...

Sit on the Supreme Court? Heck, Sonia Sotomayor isn't fit to sit on a jury!

Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s Senate confirmation hearings today enter their fifth day. On Day One, Sen. Lindsey Graham (Vichy-SC) stated to her, on the record, “Unless you have a complete meltdown you’re going to get confirmed.”

Sotomayor was a longtime board member of the racist, irredentist, Hispanic supremacist group, La Raza (The Race), which is the equivalent of a white being a Grand Kleagle of the KKK. She has a history of bullying lawyers. She has publicly made in-your-face racist and sexist statements about her approach to deciding the law, and publicly bragged, in violation of the constitutional separation of powers, of legislating from the bench.

Not only did Sotomayor ignore the cast-iron cinch of an argument for the white firemen plaintiffs in Ricci v. DeStefano that came before her three-judge appeals panel, but with her two colleagues engaged in unethical deception, in seeking to “bury” the case with “a one-paragraph, unpublished, summary order with no mention of … the ‘questions of exceptional importance’ raised in the appeal,” in an attempt to hide this fundamental constitutional case from the Supreme Court. And they would have succeeded, had Judge Jose A. Cabranes, a colleague from the full Second Circuit, not publicly dissented.

The poorly reasoned decisions of this “quota queen” have been reversed by the Supreme Court at an extraordinary, 66.7 percent rate, including Ricci.

Sotomayor has repeatedly lied, in insisting that it has been “proven” that all mental and professional tests—on which she admittedly performed mediocrely—are “culturally biased.” “… my test scores were not comparable to that of my classmates. And that’s been shown by statistics, there are reasons for that. There are cultural biases built into testing, and that was one of the motivations for the concept of affirmative action to try to balance out those effects.”

That would be an Asian cultural bias.

As Larry Auster and others have pointed out (from here to here), Sotomayor has also repeatedly engaged in deception during her sworn testimony before the Senate this week, in misrepresenting her repeated racist (“wise Latina woman”) and unethical statements (about making policy from the bench). All the training in the world from David Axelrod, et al., couldn’t help her there. What has saved her, however, has been the cowardice of the Living Dead Party. If there were any men left in the Senate, they would have announced that Sotomayor’s racism disqualified her from the bench.

Any judge worth his salt would be ashamed to use his ethnicity as a “qualification” for the bench, because it would be a confession that he was an unqualified, incompetent interpreter of the law. Yet Sotomayor revels in her ethnicity.

At every step of the way, Sotomayor has benefited not from her ability, but from affirmative action, in other words, from racism. Indeed, she has bragged, “I am a product of affirmative action. I am the perfect affirmative action baby.”

She has agitated for Hispanics’ “right” to be admitted to “highly selective” universities, despite demonstrably inferior test scores, and to be hired as professors despite a lack of scholarship, based on nothing more than their ethnicity, and for “Hispanic” litigants’ (who, since she assumes they do not know English, sounds like a euphemism for illegal aliens) “right” to have Hispanic judges preside over their court cases, i.e., take their side against non-Hispanics and American institutions. Thus would Sotomayor reduce all public life to a rigged ethnic spoils system, thereby throwing generations of valid mental and professional testing and scholarship, the merit principle, 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and 1964 Civil Rights Act out the window.

Sotomayor isn’t a jurist at all; this self-styled “wise Latina woman” is an ethnocentric, separatist advocate who, consistent with her racism and sexism, hates the rule of law, fairness, science and meritocracy.

Is there a single positive reason why this woman should be sitting on the bench in traffic court? To ask the question is to answer it.

But Sotomayor is not only unqualified to serve as a traffic court judge. As former U.S. attorney—but please don’t hold it against him—Andrew McCarthy has pointed out, Sotomayor is unqualified even to serve as a juror in the lowest level court.

McCarthy quotes the standard instruction that every judge must read to the jury:

You have two duties as a jury. Your first duty is to decide the facts from the evidence in the case. This is your job, and yours alone. Your second duty is to apply the law that I give you to the facts. You must follow these instructions, even if you disagree with them…. Perform these duties fairly and impartially. Do not allow sympathy, prejudice, fear, or public opinion to influence you. You should not be influenced by any person's race, color, religion, national ancestry, or sex.

McCarthy then asks,

Would Judge Sotomayor be qualified to serve as a juror? Let's say she forthrightly explained to the court during the voir dire (the jury-selection phase of a case) that she believed a wise Latina makes better judgments than a white male; that she doubts it is actually possible to "transcend [one's] personal sympathies and prejudices and aspire to achieve a greater degree of fairness and integrity based on the reason of law"; and that there are "basic differences" in the way people "of color" exercise "logic and reasoning." If, upon hearing that, would it not be reasonable for a lawyer for one (or both) of the parties to ask the court to excuse her for cause? Would it not be incumbent on the court to grant that request?
Should we have on the Supreme Court, where jury verdicts are reviewed, a justice who would have difficulty qualifying for jury service?

For what job, then, is this self-proclaimed “wise Latina woman” qualified? If she were a man with a strong back, I’d say digging ditches. But that’s not an option, though it would be fit punishment.

What do we do with racist, treasonous, incompetent “persons of color” who are good for nothing? Why, we make them President!

Tell Your U.S. Senators to Fight the Hate Crimes Bill

Since I never get involved in the nitty gritty of political activism, you know things have to be bad, if I’m doing so now. And they are bad. Today, Thursday, July 16, the Senate was scheduled to vote on the totalitarian “Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (LLEHCPA),” aka the “Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act,” aka “S. 909.” The plan was to attach it to the Defense Authorization Bill, and sneak it through, but the attachment subterfuge, which was supposed to be done Wednesday night, at last report, had not yet been carried out.

Imagine that. Smuggling the Hate Crimes Bill in through the Defense Authorization Bill. The Hate Crimes Bill that, by Attorney General Eric Holder’s admission in his June 26 Senate testimony, wouldn’t cover the vicious racially and religiously-motivated murder, allegedly by black Moslem convert Carlos Bledsoe, aka Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, of white soldier Pvt. William A. Long, 23, at a recruiting station in Little Rock.

The man calling himself “Barack Hussein Obama” and his senatorial henchmen seek to attach the bill to the Defense Authorization Bill, in order to exploit support of the military on behalf of a bill that would not protect white, presumably heterosexual military victims of racist and political hatred such as Pvt. Long and Sgt. Jan-Pawel Pietrzak, the newly wed white Marine, who with his black bride was tortured and slaughtered, allegedly by a racist black gang, but not before she was gang-raped, because Sgt. And Mrs. Pietrzak had had the temerity to fall in love across racial lines.

But then, though a racist like Eric Holder will never admit it, increasing numbers of blacks have been waging race war on whites since at least 1963, with ever more grisly rape-torture-murders being routinely committed, and with ever growing support from respectable black folks.

I’m not condemning the Hate Crimes Bill because I want a hate crimes law that will protect whites, though I do demand of any Hate Crimes Law that is enacted that it be applied to crimes committed by blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, women, etc., against heterosexual white men and women, but because all such laws are unconstitutional, racist, and all the other “ists.”

Like so-called civil rights laws, so-called Hate Crimes laws are part of America’s growing system of Shadow Law, which forces most white Americans to live in the shadows, without legal protection, while racist blacks, Hispanics, illegal aliens, heterophobic homosexuals, etc., enjoy unconstitutional and illegal privileges. Shadow Law is no longer limited to laws with special modifiers (“Civil Rights”, “Hate Crime,” etc.), but have come to dominate all criminal and civil law, as those who belong to “non-protected classes” (a status which changes, based on the offender’s political identity) have been disenfranchised vis-à-vis members of “protected classes,” an unconstitutional designation, which nevertheless is routinely used by police and prosecutors.

“Barack Obama” knows that a substantial majority of the American people would not support S. 909, if they knew about its character. That is why he had Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Pat Leahy (Racial Socialist-Maine) limit Senate hearings to two hours of dissimulation and sophistry by racist Attorney General Eric Holder, and has ordered his MSM henchmen to tell the American people as little as possible about the bill.

As powerful as “Obama” is, however, despite the 60 vote Senate supermajority that ACORN succeeded at providing him, through stealing a Minnesota U.S. Senate seat for Al Franken, after Norm Coleman had beaten Franken in the actual election, he seeks much more power. S. 909 is designed to give it to him. (Not that that will satisfy this aspiring totalitarian dictator; nothing will.)

In a nutshell, S. 909 would, if passed and enacted (and “Obama” will certainly sign it, if it passes the Senate), disenfranchise white, heterosexual, politically right-of-center men, while giving even more privileges to blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals and illegal aliens, the latter of whom, according to American law, have no rights. It would also pioneer new frontiers in the unconstitutional violation of double jeopardy. Not only would the hate crimes law “permit” the feds to re-prosecute whites who had been acquitted in state court, it would “permit” the feds to re-prosecute whites who had been convicted in state court, but whom political leaders felt had been insufficiently punished!

While Eric Holder claimed the law would protect Jews, this is one Jew who has been repeatedly racially assaulted by blacks in New York, yet who has always been treated like a criminal by Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau’s office. The only Jews who will benefit from S. 909 are racists like Morgenthau, who are already so wealthy and powerful, that privilege is second nature to them, and who have for generations done everything in their substantial powers to harm poor, working, and middle-class Jews. (Bernard Goetz, the man who defended himself against a mugging attempt in broad daylight in front of multiple witnesses by four violent, young, black career criminals, and against whom Morgenthau then directed an obsessive, years-long, persecution campaign, is a Jew.) The notion that “Jews” will benefit, as Jews, from S. 909 is a myth.

Fighting Racism: The Case of Judge Sonia Sotomayor

Sonia Sotomayor is waging war on “racism.” If you don’t believe me, just ask her. Why do blacks and Hispanics not do as well as whites on standardized tests? “Racism.” (Never mind about the Asians.) Why are more blacks and Hispanics in jail than whites? “Racism.” We can’t have capital punishment, either. As The Urban Grind observes, “Judge Sotomayor also believes that capital punishment is racist.”

The Urban Grind observes, as well, that Judge Sotomayor “believes that denying felons the right to vote while they’re still in prison is racist.”

During the 2000 Great Florida Disenfranchisement Hoax, as the overlapping groups of Democratic operatives, white leftists, and black supremacists sought to steal the election after the fact, they employed at least two different strategies:

• Telling ever more exaggerated race hoax stories supporting their claim that Republican forces in Florida had stolen the election via the disenfranchisement of black voters (in reality, some of the black voters claiming disenfranchisement, at three segregated black colleges, were found to be guilty of vote fraud, through having voted twice, but none was prosecuted); and

• Projecting their contemporary hoax onto the past, by inventing a white conspiracy to disenfranchise blacks through denying felons the vote, after they had served out their sentences.

(According to the Miami Herald, some 5,000 convicted felons, 75 percent of whom were registered Democrats, illegally voted in Florida in 2000. To my knowledge, none of the felons who committed vote fraud was prosecuted, either, as Florida officials backed off, in the face of black racial demagoguery.)

Back then, the purpose of strategy #2 was to get all black felons who had finished their jail sentences reinstated as voters, under the assumption that the overwhelming majority would vote Democratic. (It wasn’t clear whether they had to have actually finished their sentences, i.e., including their terms of parole or probation, meaning that the hoaxers likely sought to get the convicts’ franchise re-instated while they were still convicts.) The Village Voice even made this racist strategy explicit, with references to Marcus Garvey and black power.

The Urban Grind quotes Ben Johnson:

Sotomayor’s position came in a terse dissent to the 2006 case Hayden v. Pataki. The case argued that New York’s law barring convicted felons from voting until they are released from prison or complete parole is racist and thus unconstitutional. Its supporters made this argument on the grounds that “[m]ore than 80% of the New Yorkers disenfranchised…are Blacks or Latinos, who lose their right to vote at more than ten times the rate of other citizens.” Plaintiff Joseph “Jazz” Hayden, before he began his humanitarian crusade on behalf of the disenfranchised, was convicted in 1987 of stabbing a sanitation worker to death.Most Second Circuit Court of Appeals judges disagreed with him, but Sotomayor found Hayden’s objection supported by the “plain terms” of the Voting Rights Act.

Her minority opinion (no pun intended) puts into perspective precisely what a judicial activist she is and how deeply concerns of ethnicity color her view of the law.

Johnson then enters into a scholarly discussion of the ancient Greek roots of the practice of disenfranchising felons, and shows that, contrary to racial socialists’ phony claims, in America the practice is older than the black franchise.

Note Sotomayor’s further radicalization beyond the 2000 talking point. Back then, forbidding ex-convicts to vote was “racist”; now, forbidding current convicts from voting is “racist.”

And one may not disagree with Sotomayor, et al. Merely disagreeing with these people is “racist.” Referring to them as “these people” is “racist,” too! Given Sotomayor’s documented viciousness from the bench, just imagine oral arguments in a Supreme Court on which she sat. It would be like a contemporary university faculty senate meeting!

In case anyone should accuse me of hyperbole, the practice whereby black and Hispanic racists and their white allies constantly harass whites with charges of “racism” regarding the most innocent, trivial linguistic usage, in order to continuously keep them on the defensive, is an over 20-year-old tradition.

(When Sotomayor’s critics argue that she lacks “judicial temperament,” they are implicitly making the same sort of character requirement of jurists that was a given in pre-affirmative action, pre-“diversity” higher education, back in those benighted days before “diverse” faculty and administrators had their own goon squads, with which to terrorize colleagues. In City on a Hill: Testing the American Dream at City College (1994), James Traub showed how tenured black supremacist Leonard Jeffries used his personal goon squad—almost certainly at taxpayer expense—to physically intimidate people, including Traub, at the City College of New York. Thanks to thugs like Jeffries, and the jettisoning of all moral and academic standards, in a few short years, City College deteriorated from America’s most rigorous undergraduate college, to a racist, ghetto hellhole.

How long will it be, at this rate, before Supreme Court justices have personal goon squads, with which to “persuade” their fellow justices as to the power of their arguments?)

Note too Sotomayor’s rationale: By assuming that any law that “impacts disproportionately” on blacks’ or Hispanics’ versus whites’ voting rights (or, apparently, blacks’ or Hispanics’ murder rights) is racist, she is applying what is called “disparate impact” to voting rights (and the death penalty).

“Disparate impact” is the pseudo-scientific fig leaf that has been used since circa 1970 to cover the racist power grab that successfully, more often than not, illegally violated civil service law, the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause, and the 1964 Civil Rights Act, in order to racially discriminate against qualified whites and East Asians on behalf of radically unqualified blacks and Hispanics, destroy the merit system, and turn America into a system of racial spoils.

According to “disparate impact,” any government action, regardless of intent, that results in rewarding “protected classes” (initially blacks, then Hispanics and American Indians, now the handicapped and homosexuals, and sometimes, depending on political expediency, white women) in a smaller proportion than it does non-protected classes (white, heterosexual men and sometimes, depending on political expediency, white women), is discriminatory.

“Disparate impact” made the counter-factual assumptions that, absent discrimination, all racial (and due to political alliances since) and other demographic groups which, due to political expediency will be counted in a given situation, will have identical average IQs, test scores, grades, poverty rates, school and college graduation rates, crime rates, etc. (Those indices, such as professional sports, in which “protected classes” have disproportionately higher success rates than non-protected classes are either to be ignored or attributed to the virtues of the protected class in question. ‘Heads we win, tails you lose.’)

The combination of using “disparate impact” and screaming “racist!” (or “sexist!,” etc.) at every critic, and if those tactics didn’t work, firing, “whitelisting,” and/or assaulting him, ushered in a counter-scientific revolution. “Scholars” and lawyers no longer had to marshal evidence and prove intent. All they had to show was inequality of results, in order to “prove” their case.

But why arbitrarily limit the criticism’s target? Given that blacks are incarcerated at over eight times the rate of whites—and at over 30 times the rate of Asians!—the criminal laws themselves must be repealed as racist. (Hispanics are imprisoned at half the black rate.)

The sophistry of “disparate impact” is central to the racial profiling myth. If it is declared unthinkable, the facts be damned, that blacks and Hispanics commit crime at higher rates than whites, and whites are blamed for every social ill, higher rates of black and Hispanic imprisonment must necessarily be the fault of white racism.

These are the logical consequences of disparate impact dogma, which Sonia Sotomayor and “Barack Obama” both embrace. If we accept disparate impact’s backwards theory of the law, whereby the law’s legitimacy is determined after the fact, based on whether its enforcement results in parity of imprisonment between minorities and whites, there can be no criminal law. It must be jettisoned, while anti-white civil rights laws must be retained.

“Disparate impact” dogma demands that the worse blacks and Hispanics conduct themselves, the more whites and Asians must be punished, especially when the original black and Hispanic misconduct entailed victimizing whites and Asians! And there must be ever more blacks and Hispanics, and ever fewer whites and Asians. “Disparate impact” is a weapon of ultimately genocidal race war.

“Disparate impact” is incompatible with science or any rational, fair, system of law. For Sonia Sotomayor, as for the man who nominated her, there is no law or science; there is only race war.

Aside from Joan Rivers, nearly every American would willingly make their birth certificate available and Obama's stubborn refusal to do so only adds to the controversy.

. . . The targeting of perceived political enemies by the Obama Administration has grown from mere individuals to entire groups. Evidence emerged that a common thread among the list of 789 Chrysler dealerships ordered closed by the White House is that the owners donated to GOP candidates, Republican-leaning causes or donated to Hillary Clinton or John Edwards during the Democratic presidential primaries.

. . . One fund manager reported being on the receiving end of a profanity-laced tirade by Auto Industry Task Force head Steve Rattner that included threats

suspects formerly held at the U.S. detention site at Guantanamo Bay are
confirmed or suspected of having returned to terrorism, the Pentagon said on
Tuesday.
Of more than 530 detainees transferred from the U.S. base in Cuba,
27 are confirmed and 47 suspected of "reengaging in terrorist activity,"
according to a written Pentagon summary."

The bumbling fool in the White House, in his stupidity and impulsivity, ordered Gitmo closed without a clue as to what would be done with its sociopathic inhabitants. He has even suggested that some of them will be moved to prisons in the US. In response to that suggestion Congress has adopted a "not in my backyard" stance.

What to do? What to do?

The solution is simple: Since several individuals, including Obama, have worked diligently to vilify the Guantanamo jihadist jail and turn public opinion against it, they should now reap the consequences of their actions. Here's my plan: Two prisons to house the terrorists shall be built. One will be next door to Michael Ratner, the man most responsible for this mess, the other shall be built next door to the Sidwell School, where Obama's daughters attend classes. Perhaps then such leftists will think twice before sympathizing with Muslim terrorists and sociopaths who are intent on killing as many Americans as possible.

Bill Ayers wrote "Dreams From My Father"

Barack Hussein Obama is a constructed fraud, foisted on America by an uninformed populace snookered by a rabidly pro-Obama media. Here's more proof of his gross fraudulence, from American Thinker:

". . . The first question I had to resolve was whether the 33 year-old Barack Obama was capable of writing what Time Magazine has called "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician." The answer is almost assuredly "no."

In his bestselling study of success, Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell painstakingly lays out what he calls the "ten-thousand-hour rule." Gladwell quotes neurologist Daniel Levitin to the effect that "ten thousand hours of practice [in any subject] is required to achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world-class expert" and cites example after example to make his case.

Obama appears to have lopped about 9900 hours off that standard. In Dreams, he speaks of writing only the occasional journal entry and some "very bad poetry." He does not sell himself short on the poetry. From his undergraduate poem, "Underground":

Under water grottos, caverns

Filled with apes

That eat figs.

Stepping on the figs

That the apes

Eat, they crunch.

The apes howl, bare

Their fangs, dance . . .

If possible, Obama's early prose showed less promise than his poetry. Although the Obama camp has been notoriously shy about releasing proof of Obama's assumed genius-SAT scores, LSAT scores, transcripts, theses-I was able to unearth three essays in print that predate Dreams.

In March 1983, Obama wrote an 1800-word article, "Breaking the War Mentality," for Columbia University's weekly news magazine, Sundial. Five years later, he wrote an essay titled "Why Organize," which was reprinted in a 1990 book called After Alinsky: Community Organizing in Illinois.

In the Sundial article there are an appalling five sentences in which the subject noun does not agree with the verb. In some sentences, like the following, the punctuation and word selection are as random as the grammar: "The belief that moribund institutions, rather than individuals are at the root of the problem, keep SAM's energies alive."

Although "Why Organize" seems to be better edited, in neither of these two clunky essays does Obama turn a single phrase that is clever, concise, or even vaguely memorable. In 1990, he wrote an unsigned student case comment for the Harvard Law Review. The prose here, although reasonably well edited, is even more dull and leaden.

It was not Obama's style but his election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review in 1990-more of a popularity than a literary contest-that netted him a roughly $125,000 advance for a proposed book. According to a 2006 article by liberal publisher Peter Osnos, Simon & Schuster canceled the contract when Obama could not deliver, despite a sojourn to Bali to help him write.

It was about this time that Bill Ayers entered the picture. "I met [Obama] sometime in the mid-1990s." he would later tell Salon. "And everyone who knew him thought that he was politically ambitious. For the first two years, I thought, his ambition is so huge that he wants to be mayor of Chicago."

Obama needed help, and Ayers had the means, the motive, and the ability to provide it. Unlike Obama, he has a well-established paper trail. He co-authored the 1974 tract, "Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism, in which book, by the way, he misspells Frantz Fanon's first name as "Franz" just as Obama does in Dreams, and nearly twenty books thereafter as writer and editor.

Ayers, we know, provided an informal editing service for like-minded friends in the neighborhood. Aspiring radical Rashid Khalidi attests to this in the acknowledgements in his 2004 book, Resurrecting Empire. "Bill was particularly generous in letting me use his family's dining room table to do some writing for the project." Khalidi did not need the table. He had one of his own. He needed the help. Having no political ambitions, Khalidi was willing to acknowledge it.

Dreams was published in June 1995. That same year, Ayers was busy fueling the ambitions of his young protégé, first with an appointment to the chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge grant and later with a fundraiser in his Chicago home. Ayers admits that his "imagination ran out of steam." He thought he was launching a mayor that he could exploit, even control, not a president, who would move quickly beyond his grasp.

After Dreams was published in 1995, Obama's typewriter fell silent once again. He contributed not one signed word to any law journal or other publication of note until his unexceptional and conspicuously ghosted 2006 book, Audacity of Hope. Obama was not a writer. As his lame inaugural address proved, he still isn't.

It is possible that Obama actually met Ayers in New York in the early 1980s. In his brief New York sojourn, he often seems to be channeling the thoughts and experiences of the world weary Ayers who lived in New York the same years as Obama. "Like a tourist, I watched the range of human possibility on display," writes Obama in Dreams, "trying to trace out my future in the lives of the people I saw, looking for some opening through which I could re-enter."

Re-enter? This seems more the reflection of a soon to be ex-fugitive than that of a Columbia undergrad. It is in New York too that Obama feels himself living "behind enemy lines," the exact phrase that Ayers uses to describe his life in the underground.

The opening scene of Dreams takes place in the early 1980s in and around Obama's New York City apartment with its "slanting" floors. As the scene unfolds, Obama is making breakfast "with coffee on the stove and two eggs in the skillet." In Fugitive Days, Ayers inhabits an apartment with "sloping floors." He too cooks a lot -- his books are rich with often sensual food imagery -- and uses a "skillet," a southern regionalism.

Obama tells the reader that the buzzer downstairs did not work and that visitors had to call from a pay phone at the corner gas station. There, "A black Doberman the size of a wolf paced through the night in vigilant patrol, its jaws clamped around an empty beer bottle."

Fugitive Days opens at a pay phone. (Unless specified otherwise, all Ayers' references will be to Fugitive Days and Obama's to Dreams). Ayers spent much of his underground years waiting at pay phones. He writes about pay phones with the loving detail art critics reserve for Picassos. The vivid image of the Doberman almost assuredly comes from his experience. Obama had no reason to use that pay phone, if it even existed.

Obama shared his apartment with a roommate, who would scream "with impressive rage" at "white people" whose dogs pooped on their sidewalks. Adds Obama, ""We'd laugh at the faces of both master and beast, grim and unapologetic as they hunkered down to do the deed."
Both Ayers and Obama speak of "rage" the way that Eskimos do of snow -- in so many varieties, so often, that they feel the need to qualify it, here as "impressive rage," elsewhere in Dreams as "suppressed rage" or "coil of rage," and in Fugitive Days as "justifiable rage," "uncontrollable rage," "blind rage," "and, of course, "Days of Rage."

Another note of interest is that all of the distinctive words in the sentence above -- "master," "beast," "grim," "unapologetic," and "deed," as well as the phrase "hunkered down" -- appear in Fugitive Days.

In the opening pages, Obama makes an exception to his unlikely New York "solitude" for an elderly neighbor, a "stooped" gentleman who wore a "fedora." In Fugitive Days, it was Ayers' grandfather who is "stooped" and a helpful stranger who wears a "fedora."

One day, Obama's roommate finds his neighbor dead, "crumpled up on the third-floor landing, his eyes wide open, his limbs stiff and curled up like a baby's." Ayers tells of watching his mother die, "eyes half open, curled up and panting." In both cases, the eyes are "open" and the body is "curled up."

On the neighbor's mantelpiece, Obama reports seeing "the faded portrait of a woman with heavy eyebrows and a gentle smile." There are seven references to "eyebrows" in Dreams -- heavy ones, bushy ones, wispy ones, and six in Fugitive Days -- bushy ones, flaring ones, arched ones, black ones.

Who writes about eyebrows? In the lengthy excerpts that I have gathered from a half dozen other contemporary political memoirs -- 150,000 words in all -- there is no mention of "eyebrows" at all. Nor is there anyone or anything "stooped," "curled," "crumpled," "hunkered down," or wearing a "fedora."

At the climax of the opening sequence, Obama receives a phone call. It comes from an African aunt. "Listen, Barry, your father is dead," she tells him. Obama has a hard time understanding. "Can you hear me?" she repeats. "I say, your father is dead." The line is cut, and the conversation ends abruptly.

The opening sequence of Fugitive Days climaxes in nearly identical fashion. This phone call comes from Ayers' future wife, Bernadine Dohrn. "Diana is dead," says Dohrn of Ayers' lover Diana Oughton, killed in a bomb blast. Ayers has a hard time understanding. "Diana is dead," she "repeats slowly." Ayers drops the line, and the conversation ends abruptly.

At the conclusion of Dreams' opening scene, a stunned Obama "sat down on the couch, smelling eggs burn in the kitchen, staring at cracks in the plaster, trying to measure my loss." This passage features Obama's signature rhetorical flourish, the triple parallel without a joining conjunction. There are scores of such examples throughout Dreams, perhaps hundreds:
"...the mixed blood, the divided soul, the ghostly image of the tragic mulatto trapped between two worlds."

"Her face powdered, her hips girdled, her thinning hair bolstered, she would board the six-thirty bus to arrive at her downtown office before anyone else."

"...his eyes were closed, his head leaning against the back of his chair, his big wrinkled face like a carving stone."

As it happens, Ayers' signature rhetorical flourish, likely cribbed from Joseph Conrad, is the triple parallel without a joining conjunction. There are scores of such examples throughout Fugitive Days, perhaps hundreds:

"He inhabited an anarchic solitude-disconnected, smart,obsessive."

"We swarmed over and around that car, smashing windows, slashing tires, trashing lights and fenders-it seemed the only conceivable thing to do."

"...trees are shattered, doors ripped from their hinges, shorelines rearranged."
More intriguing still, Obama seems to borrow the one girlfriend in the oddly sexless Dreams from Ayers' experience. "There was a woman in New York that I loved," he tells his half-sister years after the fact. "She was white. She had dark hair, and specks of green in her eyes."

The woman of Obama's memory evokes images of Diana Oughton. As her FBI files attest, Oughton had brown hair and green eyes. The two women shared similar family backgrounds as well. In fact, they seemed to have grown up on the very same estate.

"The house was very old, her grandfather's house," Obama writes of his girlfriend's country home. "He had inherited it from his grandfather." According to a Time Magazine article written soon after her death, Oughton "brought Bill Ayers and other radicals" to the family homestead in Dwight, Illinois. The main house on the Oughton estate, a 20-room Victorian mansion, was built by Oughton's father's grandfather.

The carriage house, in which Oughton lived as a child, now serves as a public library. It may have already seemed like one when Ayers visited, an impression that finds its way into Obama's memory of a library "filled with old books and pictures of the famous people [the grandfather] had known-presidents, diplomats, industrialists."

"It was autumn, beautiful, with woods all around us," Obama writes of his visit to his girlfriend's country home, "and we paddled a canoe across this round, icy lake full of small gold leaves that collected along the shore." As can be seen from aerial photos even today, the Oughton estate also has a small lake and is surrounded by woods.

Curiously, Obama tells the story of this past love while cutting "two green peppers." In his 1997 book, A Kind And Just Parent, Ayers specifically links "green peppers" with "saltpeter" and other substances that scare young men with the threat of impotence. Go figure.
Ayers lived a considerably more adventurous life than Obama, beginning with his youthful days as a merchant seaman in the North Atlantic. "I realized that no one else could ever know this singular experience," Ayers writes. Yet much of the nautical language that flows through Fugitive Days flows through Obama's earth-bound memoir.

Although there are only the briefest of literal sea experiences in Dreams, the following words appear in both Dreams and in Ayers' work: fog, mist, ships, seas, boats, oceans, calms, captains, charts, first mates, storms, streams, wind, waves, anchors, barges, horizons, ports, panoramas, moorings, tides, currents, and things howling, fluttering, knotted, ragged, tangled, and murky.
My own memoir on race, Sucker Punch, offers a useful control. It makes no reference at all, metaphorical or otherwise, to any of the above words save "current" and "tides." Yet I have spent a good chunk of every summer of my life at the ocean and many a day on a boat.
Ayers equates the flow of water with that of language. "The debates swam above and around and through us," he writes. "The confrontation in the [Student Union] flowed like a swollen river in to the teach-in, carrying me along the cascading waters from room to room, hall to hall, bouncing off boulders."

In Dreams, Obama makes the very same equation. "I heard all our voices begin to run together, the sound of three generations tumbling over each other like the currents of a slow-moving stream," he writes, "my questions like rocks roiling the water, the breaks in memory separating the currents, but always the voices returning to that single course, a single story."

For the one and only time in his career, Obama writes in the language of postmodernism, a language the academic Ayers has mastered. Ayers describes Fugitive Days as "a memory book," one that deliberately blurs facts and changes identities and makes no claims at history. In Dreams, Obama admits, some characters are composites. Some appear out of precise chronology. Names have been changed.

Ayers seems consumed with lies, lying and what he calls "our constructed reality." The Obama of Dreams says much the same and in much the same language. "But another part of me knew that what I was telling them was a lie," he writes, "something I'd constructed from the scraps of information I'd picked up from my mother."

That they both speak of "narratives," "traps," "contradictions," "intimacies," and "journeys" is not exceptional. That is standard postmodern patois. What is exceptional is their shared use of advanced postmodern slang -- the "fictions" into which they and others force their lives, the "grooves" into which they have fallen, the "poses" they assume, and even the "stitched together" nature of the lives they or their relatives lead.

More convincing still are those complex tropes in Dreams that appear, only slightly altered, in Ayers' books. In his 1993 book, To Teach, Ayers writes, "Education is for self-activating explorers of life, for those who would challenge fate, for doers and activists, for citizens." "Training," on the other hand, "is for slaves, for loyal subjects, for tractable employees, for willing consumers, for obedient soldiers."

In Dreams, these thoughts find colloquial expression in the person of "Frank," the real life poet, pornographer and Stalinist, Frank Marshall Davis. "Understand something, boy," Frank tells the college-bound Obama. "You're not going to college to get educated. You're going there to get trained." Both authors make the point that "training" strips the individual of his racial identity.
In To Teach, Ayers recounts the story of an ambitious teacher who takes her students out to the streets of New York to learn about its culture and history. These students ask to see the nearby Hudson River. When they get to the river's edge, one student says, " Look, the river is flowing up." A second student says, "No, it has to flow south-down." Upon further research, the teacher discovers "that the Hudson River is a tidal river, that it flows both north and south, and they had visited the exact spot where the tide stops its northward push."

In Dreams, written two years later, Obama takes an unlikely detour to the exact spot on the parallel East River where the north-flowing tide meets the south-flowing river. There, improbably, a young black boy approaches this strange man and asks, "You know why sometimes the river runs that way and then sometimes it goes this way?" Obama tells the boy it "had to do with the tides."

For the literary left, the fact that Ayers helped Obama would be a less troubling revelation than that Obama needed help at all. They have built a foundational myth around his genius, a genius that can be located only in Dreams. The dark side of the Democrat genius mythology, of course, is the Republican dunce mythology of which Sarah Palin and George Bush are the most recent victims."
